Hnefatafl

I love Hnefatafl, unfortunately most of the times I play, it's against AI, and in this kind of game, that means that's it's to easy, or way to hard to win. In this version, I wouldn't know because I didn't get past 3 moves. The 3D board makes it hard to plan moves and see what you need to. The game has great potential, I like the board, the pieces, and the music. The only thing that's missing is the top view of the board

the graphics are nice, and it can be better by having all the attackers facing the right way. the AI on hard and normal are way too easy to beat, it just does the same move turn after turn taking too long to think. You can't even play as the opposing team. You also can't leave the app without it quitting your game, thus with no save features I can't pick it up from time to time

learned about this game from a YouTube video, decided to see if there was an app. glad to see there was, but disappointed that I can't choose which side I play. Too easy. also once you select a piece, if you wanted a different piece you had to pause and hit continue to select a different one. However it's more fun in my opinion than chess.

Can't choose to start white or black. Ludicrously, you can't see the whole board while playing, or zoom out. You have to rotate the board to see far corners! AI is also too easy to beat.

Has rigged AI that knows every and all possible moves, even in normal. The large rotating board is hard to get used to, the music isn't atmospheric, and these things combined with a bright screen makes it hard to concentrate. Should also have Ancient Irish Ard Ri & Brandubh versions which are better.

Your AI is idiot. Makes same move endless. In reality player could not repeat same move more than two times sorry but 1 star. And one more. Do you really think I enjoy rotation of the board each move? One side of the board is invisible from another.

No way to know what kind of tafl, what rules, what winconditions. The illustrations are sadly typical fantasy warriors instead of vikings. The board is a bit big but easily rotated.

I would love to see this game get the update that the developers mentionioned. it has the potential to be the best Hnefatafl apps ever.

Fellhuhn's version is better in every way.

There is no how to play

Graffics were ok, I feel that the threeD was unessicary. The board veiw choice was a terrible one. They should have just done birds eye veiw. Wouldn't let you re-select a piece after you had selected it. The game mode options was a nice touch though.
