Hobi - TV Shows Reminder

I've got a love/hate relationship with this app. The UI is great and it gets the job done for the most part. It doesn't however give me notifications all the time and it clashes with the light mode of my phone making the bottom bar white while the whole app is dark. The worst thing about the app is that it needs some kind of update! It hasn't changed at all in the years that I've had it. Please give us something!

App is functional. It would be nice to have a widget so we can see what shows we have unwatched episodes on and quickly check them off. Layout is a little cluttered and the IMDB presence is a little much at times. But app is well designed overall. SUPER disappointed that the developers don't actually pay attention to users. They don't respond here by the looks of it, and the email they had to suggest features, doesn't exist anymore, but is still listed online. That's kind of a red flag.

One of them most useful and organised series trucker I've seen. It alerts me when a new episode is premiering or when a trailer is coming out. The statistics are also great. They count the episodes of each show and the time you've spent watching each series. I just learnt I've spent 5 months watching series. It is absolutely awesome! Everyone download!

I just went premium expecting a few more features like more account control/refining. But seems it means you only don't get the pop up to go premium. "Houston we have a problem" is displayed in the enable trakt sync. The Your account- just says you are synced to your Google account???. No ability to update anything. Support goes nowhere. How does hobi know where I am in relation to when shows are released? Can't select my channels and streaming services just has cw hbo fox etc all American.

This is an amazing app! In fact, it is SO great that I have installed BlueStacks so that I can run it on my notebook. I would love to see a Windows version! The dates are spot on, the synopses of the shows are great, and the recommendations are very good and based on shows that I already watch. One small improvement could be if recommendations automatically exclude shows that are already on my watch list. Great work!!!

This is a nice app to use and very clean UI. However, one issue I have is the way the shows are ordered in the main screen. I wish there was a hybrid between ordering the shows by newest episode and most recently watched (whichever is more recent). That way I can easily cross off shows that I am currently binging, but if a new episode of a show is aired, it will pop up at the top of the list!

Very simple but also very useful — in fact, outclassing in usefulness the competition. You don't need to register an account — just list the series to be monitored. When notified, you are not presented with a calendar view — just a list of episodes to come in declining order of days due, and if nothing is due the list is simply empty.

Very seemless integration with Trakt and a beautifully designed intuitive UI makes this app stand out from the other Trakt compatible apps. I would strongly recommend the premium version due to the enhanced feature set that comes with it, however, the ads in the free version are not intrusive and do not take away from the functionality or user experience.

I have paid for Hobi premium, but there’s no real advantage (Not very equitable) The search function is kinda awful. Especially if your show is in another language eg anime (Not equitable, enjoyable) and updates are really slow, which is a problem for shows daily. (Useable) Can I ask one question? I can't watch them how am I supposed to watch them? It was brilliant for a while. I have noticed that it didn't sync my recent shows with trakt. Factory reset my phone and lost a lot of them. My biggest pet peeve is that when I reinstall hobi on a new android device, I’m forced to reselect a bunch of shows- which are popular but I have no interest in. forcing me to select them in my watch list every single time is infuriating. It is the sole reason I refused to install it on anymore of my devices. I downloaded it specifically because it is connected to trakt.tv, but once I got it and logged in, my trakt shows didn't appear. I waited a day, still nothing. I ended up going premium and trying to re-sync, and still nothing. It shouldn't be advertised as trakt.tv compatible of it isn't.

This is my first time using a Trakt.tv client. I should have tried it more before paying for it because it didn't get any better. The calendar doesn't show anything before the current time so you can't use it to check off an episode. The statistics are limited, and you get very few of the Trakt features. Also, when it syncs to Trakt all my shows get added multiple times and I have to go to the website to delete the extras. I have no idea how this app is rated so highly.

I absolutely love this app. You receive updates on when your shows air as well as a tracker as to which shows are cancelled and which ones are waiting for a release date. It is easy to use and navigate and has a really cute design. If you have alot of shows like me, this is the best app to keep up with it all.
