Hobnob: Invitations by Text

a few bugs (duplicate contacts), but a great app overall. Unfortunately, since their latest update, I'm unable to upload any photos. Man, the bugs just keep coming. I want to like this app so much. Now I can't use it without being bombarded by a notification saying "Make Life Happen" over and over and over. My guests are having trouble RSVPing. I can also no longer export my events to my calendar.

This app was referred to me by someone and it's absolute trash. I imported over 100 phone numbers, added them to the guest list, and only the contacts pulled directly from my phone saved. This is utterly ridiculous. How do you import contacts but they're not automatically stored to the app. I better not be charged as I am unable to use this app in what it said to be its fullest capacity. I'm unable unable to open up the event for editing. It continues to spin. Highly disappointed.

Highly disappointing! I tried out the 7 day free trial plus and the only thing I got out of it was charged. I needed this app to send out invites for a bridal shower I was hosting. Contacts didn't save, I had to back out of the app multiple times do to loading problems (I was connected to WiFi), I was only able to send out 10 or 15 invites after purchasing plus, and on top of that I tried to unsubscribe before the renewal date but was still charged $46.99. Definitely need to tweet about this!

App itself is great. Unfortunately if ur not a huge party planner on a regular basis $50.00 a yr is simply not worth it. If you do alot of planning this app is great for that. I ended up purchasing the standard package. Wish you guys would fix the pictures process and the saving process. Other then that it's a very useful app.

This is such a great way to send out very beautiful invites, collect rsvp's, and for all the guests to easily upload the photos from there phone at the event and the app even sends them a reminders to do it. Love that! 💕 They get reminders of the event. Connects to gps for directions. And you can connect to your own personal link. It has everything and probably more that I haven't found yet. It is convenient. However, I feel like more reminders should be sent before an event takes place. Limiting free invites is terrible. Their price should be lower. I bring a lot of ppl to this app with the number of parties I host. Treat regulars better.

I seems to be reliable. I was simple to create a quick invite. There weren't a lot of edit options; for my need, it was perfect. This isn't an app for the perfectionist.

This app has been the best one I have ever used. All of my guests were able to r.s.v.p. easily. And I love that It updated me immediately. Being able to share photos and message within the app to keep the party details in one spot was great. Great job sending auto reminders the day before and day of the party with directions as well.

I originally rated this app a 5, but have sknce changed it to a 3. I have used it for free for almost 2 years with no issues. But with my latest invite, the app required me to purchase a subscription due to the number of invites. I thought maybe I had overdone the invites, but went back in my history and realized that I have invited well over 10 people (the supposed limit for free usage) for 2 years. Very disappointed to have to purchase a subscription to invite more than 10 people to an event.

Pretty good app! It got the job done, although I never figured out how to send a message to the invitees all at once. They only saw it if they went back into the app, which most people won't do unless they received a notification or something. I ended up just copying and pasting the same msg and sending to everyone. But overall, it is a good app.

I think this app is amazing. I am getting REALLY amazing feedback from the invites that I send, and it makes life so easy for me to not have to hunt down people's RSVPs. One MINOR request to the developers- if I type in a number incorrectly (someone not from my contacts) once it's saved i can't edit it...I'd love to be able to edit instead of delete and start from the beginning.

Positives, I could put in my own photo to use and the invitaion looked nice. The negatives, you can't message anyone through the app unless they download it and I couldn't send an invitation to one person. I contacted their support and they didn't get back to me until after my RSVP date and only after I sent another complaint in. And they didn't fix the problem, they just gave me 10 more invitations to use this month?! I did pay for one of their packages. I am deleting.

Hobnob should allow the host to disable the plus one option. I find it inconvenient to have to text my guests everytime I plan an event and tell them to "disregard plus one option". Also, the event screen is very buggy, it flashes on and off while you are looking at your even details.

Even though I paid to upgrade my access, I did not have any more designs to choose from. There aren't that many designs to choose from. In order for your guests to see *anything* other than who invited them, the event name, date and time, they have to download the app. That is 100% to the benefit of the App Creators and 100% a disservice to the user.

I loved it initially (I have a Galaxy S10+). Got all the way to adding the guests and it went right back to start. I did it again, had to minimize it to answer a call, went back to it and started from choose a design. Great templates and concept but I uninstalled.

Easy to use. I love that people don't have to download the app to reply. The 10 invites per 30days is a little steep, but I paid to upgrade. Only 4 stars because I wish it was possible to make generic guest list to add to each invite instead of having to enter them all each time.

Glitchy and crashes a lot! UPDATE: Although it's still a bit glitchy, I have to say that HobNob support is exceptional. They are quick to respond and it does seem like they're actively improving the product. Another plus; they are literally the only eVite type app that offers all of the features that they do. So for now, I'm going to stick with them... and add another star : - )

I loved this app up until I was charged $46.99 for a yearly subscription when I was offered a 7 day free trial. The trial ends today. However, this $46.99 has been pending in my account since yesterday. I see no customer service contacts and now will have to go through the process of disputing this with my bank. Irritating.

this was a great app to use in planning our son's birthday party. the UI/UX is seamless and we didn't run into anything glitchy. the photo section was a great tool to use as well, where all attendees could drop their photos from the event. great app, highly recommend.

Was a nice way to send out digital invites for my son's birthday party via text. Some people said the app wanted them to download the app to RSVP, which was irritating & confusing, since it didn't make everyone download it. I paid for the subscription for 2 months, then canceled it after the party. To me, that $8 was worth the easy delivery and management of RSVPs on my phone instead of the old school paper version.

Can't view or post pictures from android. Feature parity with IOS is terrible, and at times it's been like a completely different app between the two systems. Also no way to indicate a time zone for virtual events.

Works terrible on Android 10. Guest list doesn't update as changes are made. Links sent to guests don't always work. And can't resend invites at all. Must delete and re-add guest. Also can't edit guest info, like there contact info.

Update...thank you for your response and refund! As far as I know, I only have one play store account but will do some investigating. Thanks again! Cannot unsubscribe. Stealing my money and there's no way to cancel my subscription. Doesn't show up as being subscribed in play store but just got charged in PayPal.

First time using this app and so far so good! I was tired of using email invites that half of the guests would ignore. I decided to give this a try because I figured people respond to texts quicker than email. And I was right! All the people I invited received the text invites with no problem, and everyone responded yes or no much quicker than thru email. Just wish you could send updates without having to upgrade. But good app overall.

What a great app. We were in a crunch and not only did this app send beautiful invitations, it also reminded the guests and gave them a map. Knowing who was coming helped us plan accordingly. We had a great turn out and our bridal shower was a huge success.

Got charged before the 7 days was up and it isn't a small fee either and it wasn't the amount that I was told they would charge it was $50.16 which I am now going to have to get back from my bank because they don't give you any option to contact them. PLEASE save yourself the trouble this is too complicated and way too expensive! Sadly my Christmas party invite had already got out UGH had to wait to cancel which was more irritating because I knew this company charges day 1! Not 7 as claimed

I have had eight issues in one month with this app! I had to also use Evite because some of my guests were not recieving Hobnob invitations! The app, inconsistent and problematic. I'm sure Evite would like to see some of the money Hobnob charged my credit card for a useless 1 year subscription. I'm going to Cancel my subscription. Uninstalling.

I downloaded this app to help my grandma manage a recurring family meeting. The idea was that we'd use this instead of a group text. Unfortunately I can not find anywhere in the app or on the website help section ANYTHING about how to actually set up a RECURRING meeting. I guess that was just put in the advertising as wishful thinking? I would use this app if it had the one feature I came for.
