So many technical difficulties. If it isn't audio issues with games, it us something else. Today's issue is suddenly with OTT apps and now we cannot watch games on our TV. The HockeyTV solution, "watch it on your smartphone". I paid for a season subscription and 2 out of 8 games this season have been screwed up. Maybe they should consider reimbursing us 25% of the season package!
Inconsistent broadcast offered randomly at any given time. Watching recently played games is extremely painful when half of a game is a silent movie and then audio is somehow mysteriously restored much later, if at all. Additionally, the playback often just stops/pauses and then skips backward to replay the last few minutes you just previously viewed. Not really worth the cost and hopeful for drastic improvements in the near future.
This app is a shame. They've done so much lately to improve their service - the streams are excellent now. But this app is just bad. Bare, buggy, it doesn't even have the skip buttons. Great service, bad app. Use a browser.
Let me be clear, the HockeyTV subscription is phenomenal. Being able to clip and edit is incredible. However, this app is a joke. The inability to log in is a basic issue and the idea that they haven't solved this in months is laughable at best.
Just recently subscribed as could not use live barn due to blackout restrictions. Could only use Hockeytv to watch my sons games. Very pricey for the coverage. Not sure if there is a person running the camera as during one of the games the camera kept focusing on the table instead of the game so you missed most of it. Previous game we could not see at all and they blamed it on demand for viewing and then blamed it on an ethernet cable being unplugged.
the streaming quality is extremely poor, camera autofocus going in/out, sometimes no audio, or very noise audio. Also to mention, watch out the subscription scam with auto renewal - although I signed up for only one month with disabled auto-renewal, they automatically charged me the next month (computer glitch? - I doubt)
Terrible experience with support tonight! If I could give zero stars I would. I was told "The teams can blame us all they want" and "There is nothing HockeyTV can do to fix this issue". This is after being told by both my son's team and the other team that the games tonight and last night were made unavailable due to a HockeyTv issue. All I asked was for compensation as I'm paying a ridiculous amount of money to use this service twice a week. Glad to be done with HockeyTV after this season!
I'm so glad you're reading this before giving any money to the monkeys that made this stupid app. TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, worst app in this app STORE. It's basically a money trap. You sign up for something and they give you nothing and then when you go to cancel your membership 15 minutes later you've lost your money because they will not reimburse you. I'm currently filing a complaint with my credit card company. You have been warned do not sign up with these IDIOTS.
Brutal update. I can't even log in anymore. I understand the original app was a little rough but it did its job. Hopefully they go back to the original while they fix the bugs on the new app.
Absolutely horrific video quality from our home rink. Be very, very careful to check what you're getting before you subscribe.
HockeyTV is awesome, everyone involved with this app should be embarrassed. Cant even sign bloody in! Plenty of 14yr old coders could come up with a more competent effort in a weekend. Absolutely freaking pathetic. Not worth a single star, its a steaming pile.
Cannot even sign in. Repeatedly try to type in an email and password that I know is correct, and the app continuously tells me they are incorrect. Useless app
Couldn't log in via the app despite entering correct info. The Hockey TV service itself is phenomenal but the app is pointless.
Four login tries, four app crashes. I'd kill for a power play with that kind of efficiency.

My login credentials won't work on the app on my Firestick. Web browser streams are grainy and choppy.

Wouldn't load games by team or league. No wonder the average rating is 1.8 stars.

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. I've dealt with this horrible company for 3 years watching my son in juniors. Now they have exclusive rights for ACHL tourney and the feed stops working in the 1st period of the finals.

For the subscription price and the level of hockey typically viewed via hockey TV, it's only a tad bit better than livebarn. The Android app isn't even recognized as a video stream, so one must touch the screen just to keep a game on. Also I'd expect some sort of menu linking to box score, rosters etc. Lastly, the favorites selected on the browser version do not translate to the app =recreating the wheel every time trying to find games.
