Great game mechanics especially the Impossible Geometry, but there's only 40 free levels — there are 70 extra ones but you'll have to pay if you wanna play them. It would be a 5-Star game if there were more levels, and I do mean FREE LEVELS. Honestly, don't brag that there are "no ads!" in your game if that divides your entire game into one third of what it should be... (or even less)

I tried to like this game. The concept is interesting and the levels well designed but to me the game was very easy, I only had to work out what I had to do in reverse and then complete the level. It is perhaps a little too straightforward and simple. Some people find it relaxing, unfortunately I found it too repetitive to be relaxing and not stimulating enough. Oh well, just not a game for me I suppose.

Really neat little puzzler. The levels are kinda trippy looking so it takes a little time to find the path through to the goal. Good fun. First 40 levels are free to try, and if you like it, it's really inexpensive to get the rest. There also is an endless mode and a level creator, so you can share levels with your friends. I don't think you can go wrong with at least giving it a try.

The puzzles arent too hard but still left me scratching my head. The music is very calming. Also pretty sure its a bug but the music plays over other apps sometimes, which is actually kind of nice adding a calming effect to everything you do. So you can just have the music over work and chill. Without a doubt one of the best apps I've ever downloaded.

Fantastic game! Nice, casual, maze game with a fun twist. Fairly short levels, so you can play at your own pace. Difficulty increases at a very gradual rate, which is pleasing. I thoroughly enjoy the borderline illusionary visuals. (Game has nothing to do with magic, despite the title, but is a mind-bending, shapes, puzzle, maze game.)

This is a really good game with an amazing concept. The optical illusions that it gives and the weird, cool ways that you need to solve them by twisting your brain around in the weirdest and most confusing ways, makes for an amazing, unique puzzle game. I wouldn't really pay any attention to the super critical reviews because the game workes just fine for me. You do have to pay later on but there's plenty of content before then to keep you entertained. Music sometimes plays when phone's off.

Hocus is a very fun game, and I paid for the extra 80 levels, and love the game. The UI is a bit odd, with no real explanation as to what buttons do what. My big problem is that I am stuck on a level I believe genuinely impossible. There is no way to get onto the top area that has the exit, therefore there is no way to play the rest of the 73 levels I paid for. Until I have found a proper solution or there has been a rework, my review will stay at 3 stars.

It always feels great when you find an unconventional solution to a puzzle, especially since every solution is unconventional in this game. It even comes with a level editor where you can construct your own impossible shapes. If you like the first batch of levels, definitely consider getting the DLC.

I get bored with most puzzle games really quickly once the mechanics become intuitive. Not the case here. Even after quite a few levels my brain has a hard time reliably predicting viable routes. I've developed some small bit of intuition for travel routes that may work but it's really difficult quantifying this intuition into my forebrain to visualize it. 5/5

Interesting game! The puzzles are good with great ones about every three levels. If you like to solve puzzles using a unique perspective, this is a great one. I'll definitely be telling my friends about this one. Great to play in waiting rooms and such.

A simple yet complex game with a clean and elegant design. Fresh, fun, and rewarding, this is a game which tests one's spacial awareness. An excellent choice for the intuitive and patient gamer. Also, no ads to distract you! There are forty levels to play for free, and there are sixty more levels locked behind a $0.99 pay-wall. I went through the free levels in about two hours, so that's a small downside. However, there are user-generated levels and the option to design your own; I suppose you'd have to buy and find out what else is in store. While it'd be cool to see some more levels, for $0.99 and with NO advertisements, it seems well worth the price of admission.

This game is great! I love it! The controls are very easy to use, and the graphics suit the game quite well, in my opinion. The first 19 puzzles were fairly easy for me, but puzzle 20 has me stumped at the time of writing this. I've always loved forced perspective puzzle games and how they work. All in all, this app is great, an I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging forced perspective puzzle game.

This is a really great take on a puzzle game. It's simple to pick up and start, then the puzzles actually get more difficult. I'm still stuck on a level that I'm trying to figure out on my own. Very refreshing gameplay. Definitely recommend it for any puzzle game player, and I love that the game doesn't spam you with ads at all. The Escher style is really cool and trippy. It's interesting to grasp the different dimensions around each shape and super satisfying when you beat a level. 10/10

Challenging and fun. It's a game like an old one called Bloxorz (Google it), but with much more optical illusion. The not so good part of the game is that it offers only 40 levels without paying for the rest of it, and the bad part is that you don't get any alert about it. If the devs put a notice in the description or inside the game, but you have to play 'til the 40th level to discover that the rest is paid.

Love this game!! Hard and easy at the same time. Most levels can be solved with just a few turns, but you don't realize that until you've gone every possible way. Then you kinda want to smack yourself in the forehead and call yourself a dummy, for not seeing it sooner. Very satisfying once you finish a level. Gonna check the playstore to see if there's a sequel game.

like many other puzzle games that get progressively more difficult as you clear each level, this one is easy to pick up and enjoyable. i like the simple design and that it's convenient (doesn't demand a lot of concentration or time). I'm at level 40 as of this writing and my 2 main notes would be: extend the puzzles so they fill more of the screen and give us an option to slide the cube along the surface instead of the slow tumble motion.

A fun puzzle game. The only complaint I have is that the controls are janky and seem to not go the way I want to. Definitely not good for one-handed play. Either that or I have small hands The puzzles are never so difficult that you want to quit, and give you clues, like shading, to show you which side of the 3d shape you're on. It's nice. Would recommend!

My brain hurts and it's amazing. Each new level seems to be more mind-bending than the last, and the best part is there are ZERO ADS. I was super pleasantly surprised by this. Controls are decent, sometimes moving places you don't want them to go, but swiping instead of tapping usually helps. Overall, the game is great!I would reccomend it.

This game truly forces you to think outside the "cube", as it were. At first, I had a great deal of trouble getting my brain to think in what is essentially the 4th dimension, even with the instructional levels. So worth it, though. One little thing though, could you give me the option to adjust the music volume in game without having to turn it off? Every time I start it, I forget to turn it down and the music is just so LOUD.

This game has a very cool concept, but it's to easy. There are very few real choices to make, and nothing to push you to learn quickly. Something chasing you, or the ability to fall could add a lot to the learning process. I love the mind bending aspect of the game but most of it is just, go, go, turn right and repeat. I even bought the extra levels hoping it would go somewhere, but so far it hasn't.

Simple in appareance, challenging in practice, this game is awesome. The level design is incredible, the interface is simple and smooth. No idea how the music is ,i play on silent, its the best way to enjoy it. This game is definitely something to play for a long time. Its a great example of a casual game done right. Level creator , infinity mode, a lot of standard levels, makes up for great value for the money.

Great game, really relaxing and satisfying. The graphics, the controls, the music, the sounds and just the overall gameplay is amazing. I have been trying to find a puzzle thinking game for a while now, and this is one of the best yet. It's simplistic and not to easy nor hard, it actually makes you use your thinking skills rather than just pressing stuff around. Though, some of the levels, in my opinion, doesn't really make sense of how they got to the finish line. Other than that, good game, definitely would recommend!

The puzzle while being challenging aren't too hard once you fully understand how the game works and don't take too long to find a way to work them out. The music is relaxing with the beautiful sound of wind chimes and gentle notes to calm you while you work your way through progressively harder puzzles. The art style is simple and effective with very smooth animation on the red block, which (aside from the end point/goal) is the only color you will see in the game. hocus is a splended game. 5/5

Wonderful mindbending puzzler! 40 levels for free (with no ads!), and another 80 for 99 cents. The puzzles are challenging and a pleasure to look at with their paradoxical construction. Great concept and great execution! My only criticism is that occasionally the controls can be a little difficult, but that's easy to forgive when the structures you're navigating are physical impossibilities.

A. G. u. Nov 28, 2018

This game is very challenging. The stylized minimalistic design give it a nice feel. I did find it to be too difficult because you cannot turn the structure therefore making it impossible to see the back and which direction to go in (even though the arrows show you where to turn l would still like to see it)

Besides this game looking impressive with some pretty smart techonolgy behind is there really isn't much to it. I did not reallg feel like there was a difference in complexity as I progressed through the levels. The only reason I kept playint is because the game does have an addicting thing to it. However, throughout the whole playthrough I felt kind of bored. This game is perfect if you have some time to waste, otherwise it really is a missed opportunity on the designers side.

Hocus is a fantastic puzzle game. The core gameplay and difficulty were executed very well. The stark contrast of the bright red cube and the grey geometry ensures that the cube is remarkably distinct. A con is that at times the controls feel a bit clunky at times. Also, the high pitched sound as the cube moves should be changed. Also, the direction idicator makes the puzzles too easy at times and can be a tad distracting. A toggle option should exist. Overall though, hocus is an excellent game.

Really, really cool game, finally a game created that is completely in sync with the way my mind works! It is addictive! Once you get the controls down & realize the colors are a key to the direction you can travel it's easy yet challenging in an odd yet refreshing way. Like to see something more done with 3D effect & graphics of actual puzzle/maze, so very much more could be done on that front. Overall, the only 5 star I've EVER GIVEN in about 9 years messing around with Google Play, great game, great job dev, give us other variations & you'll certainly have a loyal following, so glad I found this!

This is great! No ads! What makes this different from the other games is you don't have to watch an ad every other level. Hopefully you guys are making money from a different way so you won't feel the need to implement them. The create a level feature is pretty cool. More complex features like pressure plates and being able to control multiple cubes at once would be insanely cool!
