This is a Five Star app, EXCEPT I HATE the subscription model upgrade. I would love to have the premium Lite Wear OS features, like auto-advance holes, either with the free version or a reasonable fixed price. I would pay up to $15, for all of the Wearable features as a one-time fee. But, I will not subscribe in perpetuity for $2/mo. Unless I cancel, I would be paying for half of each year when golf isn't possible here because of climate. Please consider the flat rate Lite. Thank you!
The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to find out yardages to lay up or carry a hazard. At times I'll be at a course to load the layout, but it shows an entirely different area of course that I have not a clue as to where they are. Then I have to scroll through 50-100 courses until I find the one I'm about to play.
App is fine but I really wish they did what golf pad does for course selection. For courses that have 3 or 4, 9 holes, you search for the course, then select which is the front 9 and which is the back 9. If they made this change I would probably switch to this app instead and give more stars. Ill keep my eyes open to see if they make that an option for multi 9hole courses, but for now I'll stick to golf pad.
I agree with others that this is a great app but I refuse to pay a monthly fee just to use one extra feature like automatically changing to the next hole. I would pay a small flat fee but not monthly for only one feature I want.
Great golf app GPS works really well,only use the free version,but the paid version seems well equipped with many features,the only issue I have is my local course is 9/18 but the app only recognises 9 so can't do a 18hole card which is a bit frustrating and the main reason why I haven't tried the premium version
I am currently using the free version. I switched to Hole 19 after using some of the other popular apps and found this to be very good. Took a little getting used to but once I did I thought it was a good app. One little thing is if you are scoring for yourself and another golfer you have to add them in before you start scoring. If not then you have to shut down the app and begin the whole process again. This could be annoying if you're trying to concentrate on playing you round.
It's a great app but frustrating for me as I have a Samsung galaxy active 2 watch and as a result I can't use it on my watch. I wish this was something that was possible. Otherwise, no real complaints!
Why is this app so hard to close ? I use it in GPS mode only and it's good for green distance ... But I always have trouble trying to turn it off on my watch. I select end round, go to phone, etc. Why does it have to be so difficult?
it's clunky and not very user friendly. it's ok for keeping the scores but what I particularly dislike is your playing partners must have email addresses before you can add them to the round. And once added you can't edit or delete. It would also be helpful if you could create a 'list' of your regular playing friends in advance rather than having to wait until you have played with them.
App generally works well. Find course and gives accurate distance. However, I upgraded to pro, but I still do not have shot tracker on my watch. Also, the flyover does not give me the ability to see distances to spots on the hole. Any help is appreciated.
love this app - update after a year using the app, most accurate in distances. Has helped me maintain my scoring. Helps me know how my accuracy in fairways and GIR. Keeping score is and added bonus with this app.
Very convenient to have all this data available for every shot. Makes a huge difference, especially when you aren't familiar with a course.
I upgraded and I don't see any Improved graphics in the pro version, the screen is dull and poor for the hole I'm playing, if playing in a club competition you want to quickly add your score which is good but the grapics let it down.Also what would be a game changer would be get course map on the watch along with yardages. I am not sure I would renew my subscription next year in the current format on phone and watch being average and better apps are out, I have over 300 rounds done on Hole 19.
great app. little confusing to use at the start cause theres a lot going on and some of functions arent clear. (unannouced gestures) may have a tutorial, may have missed that. probably needs one just to setup a round and get going but super useful for distance to pin on a hole
Good app. Very helpful with course yardage. Plus analysis of the rounds I have completed. Use it every time.
A good app and helpful as a beginner, but would be helpful to have the club er distance guidance on the watch.
Great course selections, works well with my galaxy watch, anytime updates are need for courses the team had done it quickly with limited information
Good app. Accurate yardages and intuitive operation makes it easy to use during a round.
Crashes when trying to edit shots, very fiddly to use during the game. Needs work.
still getting use to app, would be great if there were a user guide so u could get the mist out of the premium features.
This is a great app. Easy to use. Some of the maps are hard to view on my S10, a little dark.
It's okay. Downloaded it purely for yardage guidance but unfortunately it just has to go deeper. Finally got set up and it was easy to use during the round (had to manually select each hole though, it didn't move as you walked round), and the notification bar at the top meant it was easy to re-open the app when needed. However, I had to uninstall it as it wouldn't "close the round". The notification bar just wouldn't go away. Will probably just reinstall before each round in future.
Overall a good app. I like being able to keep up with fairways and greens hit as well as putts. I do wish the satellite imagery was a little more clear but great app. I have used it for every round of golf for over a year now. Great selection of courses and tees. I've never played a course that wasn't on here.
