Holey Light (S10 LED Notifications)
The current version is not a finished product. It can be a little rough around the edges. It's getting there though.
This app requires a LOT of permissions. If you are not comfortable with that, don't use it. The sources are available on GitHub for anyone security-conscious to scrutinize.

It's great, does what's intended. 2 things I would like to see though. Ability to create a notification LED similar to the older Samsung phones rather than a circle around the camera (may be besides the point of the app) and also a charging led that emulates the red/green light of older samsung devices.
I tried 3 different notification light apps. This is the only one to actually work. Not a perfect app, but it's good. (I kinda wish it did edge lights too, but this is good) but it does give you different options on the LED pattern (swirl, blink, and pie).
I tried this app and different setting for 2 hrs. Never got a ring to show when screen was off. Im just looking for a visual notification, when text or email is received and screen is off. Uninstalled.
This app just works unlike some of the others I've seen, thank god. Please don't fix what isn't broken! Don't be offput by the "invasive" setup. Yes, it's more than most apps need, but it's nowhere near as extraordinary as some of the other reviews makes it out to be. It just needs some ordinary permissions.
I need help please. In the settings I choose "mark as seen when the screen is on". Which is logical since i dont need the light notification when im using the phone and i can see everything popping. So, when my phone is locked, when i get a notification the app works fine since the screen is off and i get the light, but when i get a Call and i miss it, the notification for the missed call doesn't lighten up because the screen was 'on' when the phone received the call! Can u fix this Please?
This app is wonderful. Just got a Google pixel 4a 5G and it did not have the light notification, much to my dismay. I tried the AOE (always on edge) app, which worked great for a while. Love Holey light... my only problem with it is that since I installed it my lock screen clock doesn't work. I like being able to see the clock on the black screen when the phone is beside me at night... Thank you to Jorrit from chainfire 4 assisting me to fix this so now I have the lock screen clock again. Hooray
Once I sorted out how to get this working the way I wanted, it's been amazing. It even cycles through each notification channel so you know which channels are notifying. Running on a Pixel 5 beautifully. May try to combine with Light Manager 2 for some additional LED notifications.
I'm running a LED notification app that's working fine, but I would like to try this one. Then came the permissions. The app I'm using requires no permissions. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pretty much useless. It doesn't notify when screen is off. Keeping screen on uses battery.
The best app to manage notifications! Works brilliantly on my Z Fold2. And to be offered free is pure generosity. Thank you for all the hard work that went into making this. Greatly appreciated.
Great app - does just what I need it to do for my s10e. I was missing the notification LED, and this is a pretty powerful workaround! Great configuration options, too! Well done!
As always, nice work Chainfire! Works like a charm. I think the default brightness of the Always On Display on the Pixel 5 is way to low, but changed it with ADB ( no root ): adb shell settings put global always_on_display_constants "screen_brightness_array=-1:1:25:200:250"
I really like this app but it would be nice to add new features to this app with more importance. I hope new features will be added soon. Apps work very well on my galaxy a71 phone.
Hi, other than the scary permissions, (for some reason it wanted wifi access....) I seem pretty happy. Developer said he was looking for a pixel4a 5g tester. If he thinks I can help, I don't mind.
Great application, however I notice something strange on my pixel 5. When the phone is locked, a small pixel flashes at the top center of my screen, is this normal ?
Perfect (and far better) replacement for the notification LED light of the old days. And a brilliant dev to top it up.

Doesn't work well and causes some semi permanent changes even after uninstall that are annoying to fix
looked promising but doesn't seem like new samsungs have AOD. Plus the permissions required are just too scary.

Setup Wizard was good and helpful. I still can't find the correct setup to show me a notification when screen is off. It is showing the battery percentage at bottom of screen now, prior to installing this app, it did not do that. It serves no purpose if screen is off and notification is not lit. Perhaps the developer can assist. I am using a Pixel 4a (non 5G).
