I am switching over from Home Gauge for a number of reasons-the on site synching for two Inspectors, like the report layout and look better, seems to be slightly more flexible in terms of what it looks like and functions displayed and used. I miss the "find next" button when writing up reports, the ability to add comments within comments from a pull down list. The lag when doing most everything is annoying. Support has been great. I highly recommend this product.
I switched over from another software that I had used for many years, but they were extremely slow with updates. I tested many other software options before settling on Spectra, which I felt was the most advanced inspection software on the market today. So far, updates with new features and also bug corrections have been very frequent. The only negative is the lack of a desktop app in case you're working on a report at home and you lose internet connection for an extended period of time.
Switching from homegauge, from the inspector side only, I feel you lose a lot of fidelity. I do like having an option to do check boxes for comments, and to put in arrows or boxes on pictures I'ma straight on the app. Other than that I'm not a fan. Utilizing the app and even the online only software, there seems to be an additional 1 to 3 steps for most everything.
I love the layout and controls. Something is glitchy though with my phone. Pixel 4XL running Android 12 but had the same issue with 11. When going back in the app and reviewing pics I had already put into a deficiency it partially locks up afterwards. I can back out from the pic but then I can't scroll up or down through the categories. I have to close the app and restart it. I can take pics and add deficiencies, comments, etc but if I later go back to look at the pic again it has issues.
Spectora is a huge upgrade to our old inspection software. It is also cheaper. Automation of in office tasks has allowed significantly more time for marketing and finding new agents to recommend us to clients instead of sending repetitive followup emails, processing payments and making sure inspection agreements are completed. There is also less degradation of photo quality than I have noticed in the past. The default template is garbage. We built a new one in a week and are now very satisfied.
The integration and continual product inhancement is incredible. I have been using Spectora for almost six months, and although the transition was not easy, it has been one of the best investments, outside of education, that I have made with my business. The team at Spectora is great, they are responsive and relevent. Great job!
This software changed my life. The time and stress from collecting agreements and payments alone, is worth every penny! I love the flexibility and the ability to make it custom to your area is just another of the great aspects this software gives you. Thanks guys! When I get responses from Realtors that this is "Best. Report. Ever", says all you need to know...
I've been using this software for several years now for my business and I've got to say it is amazing!! The ability to complete (or almost complete) an inspection in the field has greatly reduced the amount of administrative time I have to devote to that part of the business. Realtors love the ability to build "repair request reports" right out of the software too!! I've had realtors who have been in business for decades say this is the best software/ reporting they've ever seen. LOVE IT!!
I used Palm-Tech for 11 yrs and was a big fan untill some technical issues caused me to shop around for a new software. Spectora has been amazing. The software is easy to use, fully adjustable to my company needs and has eliminated the need for all the extra steps I had been doing. It saves me so much time which makes our team more productive and has reduced my stress immensely. Also I get paid at or before the inspection takes places. No more chasing clients around for payment.
Our company has been on 3 different software's over the last 5+ years. It took some time swapping to spectora because of the fear of template changes, database/contact transfers, etc. I can honestly say we should have made the switch years ago. It has astronomically help us grow and get efficient. Their team is almost always immediate to answer questions and help fix our screw ups. We use all of the actions to automate. Hands down one of the best investments for our company. 10 stars all the way
Coming from another inspection writing software. Spectora just makes sense. They've put the time and effort (and still are as we speak), to continue to make this program more smooth and better for the inspector and realtors alike. If you're wondering if this is the inspection writing software for you? I assure you the answer is yes!
Best inspection software available. Occasionally buggy, but the developers are very quick to respond to notifications of issues and are frequently rolling out updates and patches when issues arise, and they are constantly improving the software with new and better features.
I hope my competitors aren't reading this but Spectora is fantastic. The reporting system goes beyond just producing industry-leading reports, it helps me to smoothly run my business! They are constantly adding new features and their client support services are absolutely world class! I don't think I've worked with a company that cares more about its clients. If you work within my geographic area you wouldn't like it but those working everywhere else, you would be wise to use Spectora.
Been using Spectora for just about a year now, I have never had a problem with the software. Very easy to use. And best of all my clients really like how they get there report. I very much recommend the software.
Hands down the best home inspection software on the market. Even better than the industry leading software, the team that stands behind it. You can't beat Spectora or the incredible support that comes along with it.
This program has made my life so much easier. The app itself is easy to maneuver and if I ever have a problem, I just hit the chat tab and david, casey, and there are a few others that are BAM right on top of it!
I love this app and it helps make my inspection and reporting process quicker. However it would be great if spectora can add voice to text on the comments in order for even a faster and more personal report. I know you can make preset comments but each home is different.
The app is ok. Recently it's been closing and reopening in the middle of inspections. Spectora software is great, and it really does make a professional report.
Very robust software and improving everyday. Great team who is involved and understanding of our unique business. They offer so much and have such a vision. I recommend giving it a try. Lots of other software feels archaic compared to this.
Amazing software. Amazing reports. I like that Spectora is a 1-stop shop. Software, website development, hosting, online payments, G suite email, and more, all under one provider! If I have any issue at all I call them...no one else to deal with. Love it!
Simply outstanding. I have used other inspection software. This is the best I know of and it makes a huge difference to my customers. Brings me more work.
Constant issues. Been waiting 2 days for a fix for a bug. After every update it is a total nightmare. I cringe when I see that it is time to update.
So we are going from 5 to 3 stars. The last update messed up the keyboard. I can only backspace one letter if I make an error and the keyboard shuts down. I have to reposition it and do another letter and keyboard shuts down. It happens across all my mobile devices. NOTE 8 NOTE 9 S9 PLUS S9 IPHONE 8 PLUS IPHONE XR & GALAXY TAB... No issues on the pc
Very intuitive software! Online help is very easy to work with in helping with any issues in learning.
Awesome software, amazing staff! It works great, haven't thought about switching for one second. Highly recommended.
Runs smooth and fast. Easy to incorporate many photos and videos without slowing down. Takes time to learn, but pays off by saving time writing reports. Can usually finish the report writing during the inspection. Two things I would like to see improved in the future are: 1. Ability to place comments on photos. 2. Less white space on .pdf files.
