This is by far the worst and most frustrating smart home system I have ever tried. They won't connect wirelessly or bluetooth. They have to be hardwired in. And even then you get the prompt "device offline." Then it starts everything completely over again. I wish that I had bought this from a store so I could return this garbage but my garage door people installed it and they are long gone now.
I regret that zero stars for a rating is not an option. Home8 is a disgrace. Totally worthless. Now the app is requesting my phone number so that I can register with Home8 and accept their terms but their app constantly states that it "cannot connect.' So now I have no service at all. Totally worthless programmers at Home8.
Bought a used oplink shuttle and 2 cameras but app Doesn't work. Keeps saying reset opu, which still doesn't work. Annoyed paid for something I can't use
When it works, it works well but when it doesn't none of my cameras show up. Internet is fine and have other cameras that are working. So annoying!
After two years or so, the system and the Home8 phone app stopped communicating today. No video and no correct status. Phone app thinks it's armed even if I reboot the main station.
Good app. Only the current version does not allow you to delete multiple recordes videos using the select all option.
Recently the ability to link Google home to home 8 has become broken. The web certificate needs to be updated. It will not allow the Linking ability anymore until it's fixed
i followed the directions. app not working. support asked if i wanted them to email me instructions. if you request help via their contact page, they need up to 3 days to respond.
Great App for controlling my Home8 system and home devices. Very cool that it works with Google assistant and IFTTT SO you can create automation scripts
Recently started getting "cannot connect to server error" and can't even open the app
Not good at all.. Should have bought a better security system. This app alone or as a companion is horrendous.
App isn't working anymore. Unable to click on the stay mode or Arm or disarm mode. Need to do another update on this app.
Supposed to work with IFTTT, but stopped working weeks ago. Support never answers. Don't think the company is around anymore...
after update new version(3June19). I have found the problem when i armed system the system will emergency and alarm will turn on.
After new installation of my phone it was impossible to make any connection to home8 equipment....waste of money.
No longer working with IFTTT. And I was told they not going to be using it any more. I'm going to be looking for a new system, I think this company will go belly up soon.
Love it, but wish I could arm and disam with my galaxy s3 watch then it be a 5+ stars

Came with 2 camaras and 1 didnt work out if the box.

3 years now. For the price it's not bad the app works has lots of easy to use features and you can add on more devices fairly easy.Theres often a connection problem,but where it shines is that you don't have to pay for cloud storage.
This app locks up and shows nothing but a black screen at the drop of a hat. Can't even keep it working for 10 seconds, can't register the device. The whole home8 system is useless to me. The manual is ridiculous, many things are not explained (what to do with the USB stick & what is it even for? What do the lights on the main unit signify? Why is there a reset button on the main unit, is it for show only?). Waste of money.
