First time using both the service and the app. The login interface, is different, not very intuitive (sign in link vs. password). Then when I attempted to open the project details, it started to open, I see a map and some details, then the app crashes. I hit retry and the same issue happens again and again. I tried wifi and also mobile data, no difference. Keeps failing.

Not a good experience at all. Booked service for a small electrical project. Pro never showed up on the first scheduled appointment day, then I had to reschedule. Pro never showed up for the second appointment as well. Had to call them 4 times just today and they have no clue on what's going on. I am sure there are better handyman services around compared to this experience I had.

It's nice to have a generated list done for you. However, it's frustrating if you are looking to do multiple projects. It leads you to believe that you can pick who you think sounds good & then contact them. You can, but you also get bombarded with phone calls & emails from multiple companies. You can end up not knowing what project someone is responding to. Also, initially when I signed up I didn't go through the app. The app & paying to be a member are the only way you get discounted prices.

What a waste of time. I downloaded the app so I could "see" messages and then realized they were just the text messages the contractor had sent me to reschedule. Wading through numerous constant phone calls from "Angi" so that they could "better understand" my need was redundant as I'd already filled out all the information online. I used to use Angie's list frequently. Now it's pretty much useless. Too bad.

The whole app and website is a disaster after they changed their business model. Many people just want a trusted directory and reviews. We do not want to enter our phone number so that it can be given out to random contractors. But the app basically makes this impossible. It is so disappointing.

Stupid app. There's no way to cancel a project, so they keep matching me with pros for no reason. Then they scheduled me with a pro that never showed up and sent me an invoice for the job. When I talked to their booking dept. it took forever for them to understand that their contractor never showed up and the job was not started. I joined for the discount and the ease of finding a vetted contractor. Got neither. Also, read the fine print- they don't really vet anyone!

Lot of spam email once you install it. Even after unsubscribing seems to have little effect. To developer response: the "More" option at the bottom of the screen has no "Messaging Notifications" option under it in the app. Besides, when unsubscribing to a particular topic through email link, should expect to not see any more spam on that topic regardless and still get emails after unsubscribing to all topics!

Not at all what I expected. Can't cancel anything through the app, I keep getting dropped calls from people the app gave my number to when creating a project. Very counterintuitive application and service

No show by pro, if you try to message the pro, there's an oops something went wrong message. Not even sure if the pro knew he was booked as he never reached out prior. Received a text to rate my service but can only give 1-5 reply and then it says sorry your 'cleaning' didn't go well contact support??? What cleaning, this was for AC service. Definite holes using this app/service.

While the app is pretty straightforward, my satisfaction with the execution is very, very low. Trying to find a contractor for a bath remodel, Angi could only locate two in my (major) area. Of those two, only one called, and he refused the job without even seeing it. Later, got endless messages and calls from Angi. Never again!

This app manages to replicate the exact feeling of getting scammed while still sometimes getting what you wanted. If the contractor decides to show up anyway. Phone reps ask for your account password and credit card info over the phone for some reason. And whatever system they're using to disguise the phone number of the people you hire doesn't support sending images so you'd better know how to perfectly describe whatever you need fixed.

Haven't been able to get the app to open after several attempts. I have closed a d re-opened, reinstalled. The app just isn't working AT ALL. I get to the screen where "Angi" appears in the center and it never moves beyond that.

I doubt anyone uses this site/service anymore. Reached out to a few "pros" for a job and got nothing back. I suspect everyone graduated to more modern apps. I get that the industry is short-staffed generally now, but other apps at least help keep the dialogue going.

A waste of time. I spent several hours waiting on their contractors who either didn't show up at all or were hours late. They solicit feedback but when it is submitted you get an automated response asking for information which is already contained in your email. Install this app and your inbox will never be empty. They constantly send emails trying to get you to start other projects.

The old angies list was so much better. I just want to be able to search for a business and contact them when I am ready to. This app forces you to enter a phone number before it will even show you the search results. Then Angi calls you and the professionals call you. Never using this again. I dont want anyone calling me! I just want a list of professionals and theur reviews. Thats it.

Stay away from this app. The rating system is meaningless as a 'bad' review is 4 stars and so everyone has above 4. Then if you don't want the hassle of signing up to get deluged by calls you pay for the pro service so you can schedule a call through the site. I suppose if I were to do it again with the free app i would RFQ from one provider at a time.

Poor company. Just wants a yearly $ubscription to get you 20% off. If you try to hire a referral they can't do work because they don't provide parts (electrical) so you have to be the expert. Most referrals would re schedule but never show up. Sometimes multiple times until you don't hear from the. Had to cancel one booked job. Angi just keeps calling you to try to find new jobs. They just want to sell a useless yearly subscription. The phone book works better. Just get referrals and hire direct

Absolutely the most annoying app I have ever installed. This app badgers you from start to finish if you put in an order for service. I kept getting calls long after I closed the service call. Save yourself a lot of grief and spam messages and calls and ask your neighbors on NextDoor for references. Never again will I book through Angi.

Can't delete projects that are created by mistake. They pile up and cluttter the screen. App is buggy and slow to respond. Not able to message contractors before sending a quote to explain what you want done. Would be nice to describe what you want before asking for quotes.

Stay away from this app and service! Angi looks good on the surface but never gets anything done. They convinced me into paying a yearly $30 fee to get a discount. Sent someone who had no idea what he was doing. He did not have the right tools and I finally had to tell him to leave. So I am out $30 and a lot of wasted time. Do yourself a favor and never sign up! As for the app itself it is buggy, login can take 10 tries or more, never lets you set a password. Then spams you every way they can.

I used to a dedicated user in the Old days when it was Angi's List. I even paid for the service for awhile. I could browse service providers, read reviews and select two or three to call. Now I am forced to fill out details about my project and then get calls from businesses that I don't want to talk to, sometimes from people that don't provide the service. And I can't even find the reviews that I need. This just wastes my time. Bring back the old Angi's list. I'm uninstaling my app.

Angi staff totally unprofessionally, can not a straight answer to anything. Work done, electrician was professional, solved the problem, very satisfied. Was informed that someone would text me about billing, next thing I get is a alert from American Express about a charge to my account, I didn't recognize the name or amount, I called Angie's for help they were about as helpful as a box of rocks, I'm sure it has to do with work performed, but without confirmation, I'm denied claims.

It's impossible to cancel your membership without calling someone on the phone. Also, they will constantly keep texting you about picking a professional for your job, after you've already done that in the app.

Something is wrong with their app and it's been this way for a while. I can't see my projects tab and have to try to use their website instead, which often kicks me back into the app. Angi is essentially unusable right now because I can't create projects and then try and follow up.

It's an okay app I suppose. It really just streamlines googling local or regional businesses. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because the Angi words things as if they will give you an estimate of competitors or have price ranges for projects available. However, all they do is tell companies you're interested in doing something and you immediately get bombarded with calls, texts and emails. It'd be nice if I could use the app to get an idea for how much I should start saving up for a project.

The service is great, the app experience is horrible. Everytime I open the app to access one of my booked jobs I get nothing but error messages. It is extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed asap.

Not a fan of this one. They don't let you see their companies; you can only request phone calls from companies you have no idea who they are so there's no way to see their work or reviews ahead of the call. I am going back to the good contractors list at least they have a list of the companies with a link to their websites so I can check them out. Though Angi has more categories when I put in requests for work they sent a message each time saying they couldn't verify my info and I should call.

Crashes frequently, ignores that I'm logged in and then requires me to receive an email ink to "log in" - after filling out all of this information, then loses it and i have to start iver. Easier to open up a Yellow Pages.
