My heat pump intaller wanted to apply on/off actuators, which sounded dumb to me, so I was happy to stumble upon the proportional system of Homematic IP. The app should be more user friendly though: - possibility to change the order of the rooms on the main page (now it's alphabetical) - when manually adjusting the temperature on the dial, the room should be put on manual mode iso keeping it on Standard profile (which is misleading) - the BOOST button is not working If fixed, 5 starts. 😉
At first, it never worked well - very unstable connection to Access Point. AP never seems to recover once connection was interrupted. My other smarthome solutions all work well. I got a new access point and now it works but the app design is average at best. Overall, not a great experience.
End of November 2019 - where the hell is the manual profile? I don't want to have the temperature changing, I want it to be one setting until I change it myself. Correct the app. Control of the thermostats mostly does not work. Trying to reconnect works sometimes, then fails later on. The whole product is basically garbage. I'm sorry I paid you for it
Pretty good app and devices, I've never really had any problems with it. However sometimes there are slight connect issues. Also there seems to be a present when switching into manual mode for heating, which is sometimes problematic.
10.12.2021: The app should have boost button for each entry in home screen. 02.01.2022: Boost duration shouldn't limit to minimum of 5 minutes. In small room, we usually want to boost only 2 minutes. Long press on boost button should allow to change adhoc boost duration. For example, default boost duration is 5 minutes, long press should open a dialog to boost 10 minutes once and keep default settings 5 minutes.
A good range of functions available though more complex to configure than some other IOT home automation apps I use. The Timer function is too simplistic and should include the ability to have yearly events so actions over days/weeks/months. An example would be for a light to be on for a set time only during winter though many more possibilities exist if timer functions had a yearly cycle option.
the best system available in my opinion. But it is missing very easy to implement features for the Automation section in the App. Would love to see the following triggers: - Webhook - Geofence for a specific phone and the following actions: - Webhook - App notification This alone would make the system outstanding. could be used together with services as IFTTT for example 😊
Not the best experience, but promising. Would be nice to see more features like historical data, especially for temperature and humidity. But also about the performance of different systems.
How is this app built? The termostat turns on automatically all the time. Its set at 16C, it turn on and heats like hell! When I set the temp on 19, it starts heating even though the romm temp is 22. What kind of app and smart home is this? Not only that is not smart, its pretty silly, expensive, anmoying and makes no sense at all. I want someone to contact me, like really a person with a knowledge and explains me. Customer service with zero answers- no need to contact me.
Awful. The application is Okayyy, but that doesn't help when the forced firmware updates (I have disabled auto update) just straight up brick your device into an infinite bootloop of failed update install attempts. Just stay 10 miles away from homematic and their garbage, take your money somewhere else!
Easy to operate
Complete garbage. Both the app and product. From top to bottom, a water of money. Why must this be so complicated. Horrible instructions and no useful videos on youtube to help.
Simple to use. Only issue that I don't understand is why the HMIP-PSM cannot be setup as a power plug, but only as a light (or heating or alarm siren).
They sell heizkörperthermostat without saying that you can't connect it to alexa or their official app without homematic access point. I feel I've been ripped off.
IFTTT Support should be a must but is still missing! Also Google Assistant does not work für Shutters!
Does what it's supposed to. No problems so far. Direct IFTTT support is missing tho.
Good App, but why can't give us the possibility to read the temperature of each room?
No widgets for thermostat?
Blinds not working with Google Home
Great app. I love it.
It works
Bidirectional radio communication with state push. Really cool. App looks can be better, but is being actively developed.
Don't expect long-term support. Their other apps haven't been updated in years. Apparently once you go with this company, you can't update your phone's software otherwise their apps will stop working. Return while you can!
Takes a lot of time to connect to the server. Have this issue for a few days now
App is OK but I was expecting much more in terms of access to data and reporting. I hope it will be developed further.
The app is good however there seems to be no way to change the temperature for the whole house at once (i.e. for a group of rooms). Using holiday mode or eco mode for this is not ideal. You should be able to click the house icon and this should bring you to a overall house temperature set screen that allows you to also select a common house profile. This seems to be a basic function that is missing.
The app is mostly doing what it is supposed to do, but it crashes from time to time. Looks like the English translation is not completely implemented yet, “Raum löschen” isn’t quite fitting,... Also the apps language should be able to change within the app, I think that’s a necessary feature, the missing feature brings down my 4 star rating down to 2. UPDATE 02.12.15: "Raum löschen" translation bug fixed, changing to 3 star rating
Very easy to operate app, with big potential for further development. I would suggest that in the automation the developer can add active notifications - for example if you forget the windows open for more then predefined time. Also it will be good to see the status of the thermostat - if it is open (%) or closed, what is the measured temperature. Another featurr I really miss is the option to increase the temperature for specific time and after it returns to normal profile.
