When the app 1st came out I absolutely adored it. I still do however however I'm having major issues with getting notifications when people message me so I'm missing contacts with my clients. It's very slow to load.
I've changed realtors and can't get on because my old realtor retired. Even with my new realtor's invitation. Unessesarily bad ease of access and rediculous requirement.
Works ok. It works fine, and let's you send houses to your realtor easily. Which is nice. But, for me, it keeps getting stuck in saved properties mode. Then I can't make it go back to just a normal search. I uninstalled and reinstalled, which fixed it. But it's back to it again. So over all it's fine, until it breaks.
Works ok. Doesn't always launch &/or hangs up during use.
Most of the home are not available, but yet HomeSpotter still list it as active or new when they not....
The user interface is hopelessly counterintuitive. Functions that should only take a button press are buried in menus. For example: if you'd like to switch quickly and easily between seeing your saved homes and new homes you can do that by pressing the 'back' button, finding the Homespotter app icon, and dragging it into the trash. Because it's always bugged. Also, why in God's name is 7 days the shortest amount of time I can narrow a search by "new"? 7 days is useless in a sellers market.
Awesome yet infuriating. We have been house hunting for over a year. Using this app, I usually see more listings and the coming soon listings before Realtor and Zillow which is great. My one problem is sometimes when I click on my favorite listings I get stuck and can't reset so I'm stuck looking at only my saved listings no matter what I do. I have to uninstall and reinstall in order to fix this.
The old filter terms always left something to be desired, and the most recent update doesn't allow any filter terms at all. It is also only showing me "sold" houses in my search, which is decidedly unhelpful for *buying* a house. I've had to resort to using Zillow for searching, then sharing the address/MLS number with my agent through Homespotter's messaging feature. On top of that, I have to redo the two-factor authentication just about every time I open the app. The good news is that it doesn't take long, but it still got irritating after the 8th or 9th time. Devs really need to test their builds better than this.
The way Ms Penny Lauricella demonstrated how this app works...!!!! It helped Me to narrow down My List of Homes so I could Buy just the Right One!!! Thanks Ms Penny and HomeSpotter!!
App gets stuck on a message with homespotter screen. Can't even search
Always getting stuck on the saved properties when I look at them .
There are alot of bugs with log in and resetting searches
Compared to the MLS App. I find this one alot more user friendly. It's easier to locate properties, and works much like the Google maps app. Unlike the MLS you don't have to be exact in your spelling. It populates the correct address just like Google maps does.
Looked at my saved properties now when I go to search properties and reset map the filter button is greyed out I can't see any properties besides my saved properties.
Not sure what this app is but obviously doesn't work. Just installed it for the first time and all I get is message with homespotter and ...
This app does not work 99% of the time. It constantly crashes forcing you to reinstall the app just so it would work for a few mins before it starts crashing again and you have to repeat the process. Possibly the worst app I am yet to "use". And why are these reported bugs not being fixed?
My service provider overcharged me because of this app. There's no warning that there's going to be an extra charge for messages. 👎
Glad this app is available. Great tool to see what homes are on the market. Easy to use, although sometimes the filters get stuck and doesn't give you the results it offers. I also wish it would do group texting not just between you and your realtor... overall, greatful for this ap.
it work great for me on android. My partner has an iPhone and it constantly crashes on her. She has to sign back in every so often. A really cool feature is that you can message your realtor on the app and have group conversations with other people on the app, my partner in my case.
Every single day I have trouble with this app. Crashes, freezes, won't save homes for contacts, you name it there's always something wrong with this app. One star seems appropriate for the amount of times this app fails me when I need it most.
Slow loading up the app, slow at loading or updating the area and details of the homes, sometimes it takes a long time before it can load homes when you search for them, and/or when you select a home it takes so long to load the seller's note. Very annoying!
Searching active listings works well on this app. Thou when I need to find older closed properties it tends to be inaccurate and I've had many attempts where it just doesn't display any sold comps for areas when I know there are multiple ones that should display.
I wish there was a way to either set a bottom to the price, or just rule out rentals. It's annoying how a third of the listings I see are for rentals when I'm looking to buy. Otherwise works well, and it's possible I just haven't figured out how to exclude rentals
Nothing but trouble! Will not open. It keeps saying, Homespotter has stopped! Frustrating to say the least! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice to no avail. I have emailed and sent messages....still waiting for help from techs!
I love the details provided for each property...HOA amounts, map views, property details, payment calculator, save option, etc. Unfortunately, the last update caused a problem with hiding properties in the saved searches. I recommend this app.
The other reviews are spot on. They need to scrap this app and go back to the drawing board. It is very slow and the filters weren't working for me. I think the intended concept was good, but completely failed on execution.
This app is archaic: There's no option when looking for condos, when I searched ALL of the city of Seattle for anything, I got zero results, and I don't see a way to save searches either. And goodness sakes, when you open the app for the first time, you get a text message screen - that's it - no homepage, doesn't say Homespotter, and the drop-down menu is the only other place on that screen to find what miniscule options there are. Was this app developed in 1998 and never updated?
