Logging in is the worst experience. I have to perform 2FA at least twice a month. It never saves the biometric login for longer than a week. Since I always have to retype my password I've ended up changing it from a complex secure password to a dead simple one since I log into this app daily. You would think a bank based in a major tech city like Seattle would be more capable of making an Android app. Maybe discrimination against lower incomes that don't have iPhones.

Despite having the latest Android OS, the app is continuously unstable. I have to keep re-entering my username and password despite having set-up fingerprint ID. Their support folks are aware of this but it never gets fixed. :(

Very limited. Basically a bank statement. Can't really filter it or see any spending charts or any additional info. Just here's each transaction and here is the total. Bare bones.

Since my review of Homestreet Bank, and how much I enjoyed everything about them, gladly encouraging others to check it out, I must write an update! DISREGARD MY ORIGINAL REVIEW PLEASE. I'll not list reasons, as they are personal. However, from a general perspective, things at Homestreet have definitely taken a huge turn for the worst. To sum things up, I'm looking for a bank I can trust again, and hope to find something ASAP, so I can close my acct!

The frequent having to rente user names and password . Then verifying and frequent having to reset my fingerprint. Is absolutely ridiculous. That and your excessive fees that have came about in the last year. Along with the low limits to bank debit cards are making us move on to better banking. As a whole your service rates at a 1 I'm finally fed up and wo t take anymore.

The app is very minimalistic. It does a good job seeing your accounts and transactions. However it's not very convenient to get into or has many settings. I would like to see an update for fingerprint/biometric sign in so I don't have to type the password every time. Also would be nice set types of notifications (low balance, high transactions, deposits, etc) so you can have the important ones to you show.

Login extremely frustrating. Probably someone thinks they improve security. But on my Android phone it's virtually impossible for me to log in. The log in screen does not activate the Continue button. It's probably an interaction with the Google password manager. But it's like no one tested it in the real world. And I haven't been able to figure out a reliable workaround. Please fix this

Bug: Can't fill in password using LastPass or Google Password Manager. Also, takes multiple tries and taking shots at weird angles to recognize check deposit endorsement signature.

It was a little bit time consuming to set up what with having to call for some information (that I probably should have had myself anyway) and waiting a few businesses days, but this app is great. Really easy to transfer money from savings to checking or vice versa, to see when and where recent purchases were made, and some other stuff I haven't checked out yet. 5/5.

Used to be such a straightforward banking app, but it seems since they revamped it, it constantly asks me to re-enroll (feels like a weekly basis!) and doesn't seem to save my log-in name either (despite me checking the 'remember me' box upon sign-in). Such a hassle these days to get in and see my balance and latest transactions. I now dread when I need to 'quickly check my account info', as it's really no longer a quick process.

Better than before but still slow and limited. You can move to next process without being asked to authenticate again and again. Not a user friendly app.

Wow they took away the feature to scan the atm QR code and take money out. Now I have to put my card in the ATM. Wow! Then the fingerprint log in doesn't ever work. This app sucks now.

This app is awful, keep giving me error messages, there's no way to input current phone number. It says it needs updates but there are none

This app was extremely convenient until the fingerprint sign in stopped working. After uninstalling and redownloading, I can sign in with my fingerprint for about five times before receiving the prompt "authentication required" and having to manually enter my password. Hoping this will be fixed and this app will be convenient once again.

The app is fine, the biometric login won't work anymore so that's annoying but otherwise it does the bare minimum

This app is very glitchy. But when it works it's does it's job. You check your balance and make transfers.

Solid. Doesn't have some of the extra features of other bank apps, but I really appreciate some of Homestreet's card controls. Those in particular are really useful (and missing from Chase Bank's app). I can limit purchases by region, dollar amount, transaction type (atm, in store, E-commerce, etc), and merchant type (lots of choices here). This is VERY handy if you tend to use one card for things like gas and food, or you want to stop fraud when traveling.

I realized that I had to update my comments from last year. Wow finally fingerprint sign in is available. Thank you, HSB. Would be nice to have the option to view statements, transfer between all accounts vs linking a relationship, pending transactions, transfer comments and a budget software tool. These are the missong things but so far so good. I can't wait for the next update.

They've really improved the app over the years I've been using it. Homestreet is a relatively small bank, not a huge economy-destroying monster bank so it's ridiculous to expect them to have every feature that a multinational bank does. With fingerprint sign-on the app now has everything I need it to. If you want a budgeting app, go download one of the dozens of free apps for that purpose. Homestreet is a wonderful bank with great customer service and now they have an app to match!

Like all the functions, except I have had to Uninstall & reinstall app multiple times to use biometric unlock feature.

Very easy to use. Love the convenience of the online deposits and how all my banking info is right at my fingertips

The authentication is terrible and I keep getting stuck in a loop and having to reinstall the app

This app takes way too long to log in as it keeps switching numbers to letters whenever I tried input a number. I talked to the customer service and they are of no help. Also the system they use to deposit a check is very complicated and difficult to figure out especially compared to my other banking app

Very simple. Accurate. After sometime I've started having the app freeze at the check photo. I've just now made a deposit I've tried to make at least 10 times the last 2 days. Pretty frustrating. Uninstalling helped a little.

Terrible after latest update. Used to be a fantastic app with great functionality. Barely functional as of last update. Mobile deposit is the worst. Freezes up, takes forever to access camera for picture of check...terrible overall. Need to go back to previous design of app.

I love that this app has Zelle as an option within the app. It's also fantastic on giving accurate "day of" account info. One complaint is that it doesn't allow me to transfer funds to my other bank accounts outside of this bank. I'd like to be able to transfer money from HomeStreet into my BofA account as that's a feature I have with their online banking. Also gave it 4 star because the app only gives me alerts when MY card is used and I'm not able to register my husband's card on the same app

Can be frustrating. Lately, the app keeps opening blank and I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. About every 2 weeks. Great when it works, but not when it won't load... Bug? Please look into this if possible.

The app installed without any issues and was very easy to set up. The banking functions in the app cover almost all of my needs. I love the flexibility of the controls provided for debit card purchases.

HomeStreet just rocks in all possible ways! I can't believe that I had never heard of this bank until I was giving my home up and walking away and a friend suggested trying them. I had tried everywhere else and concluded it was a lost cause, so I was amazed when they said they would help. It nearly didn't get done, but their persistance and expertise pulled through. I was elated to say the least. What a great banking and financial system they have built and such great people. I love the App.

It's a pretty alright cash app but it doesn't work on Sundays at all for me. It also will sign you out after a certain time, at which point the app your on will switch to homestreet just to tell you it's signed off. homestreet will proceed to switch you from the app you were on to the homestreet app until you x out the sign out pop up. This is infuriating when I'm driving and using my GPS and presents obnoxious if not hazerdous results. Overall the speed of transactions and digitalchecks is fine
