I love the email alerts for new homes that match my terms. The app is smooth and easy to use. Homie sometimes doesn't have as many details or images available as other apps, but that can be simpler depending on the user.
Half the time the search functions don't work or the map won't load an area. I've tried restarting my phone, clearing the cache and changing my search parameters... This is my 4th time uninstalling and reinstalling in 3 months. That doesn't seem to fix the problem immediately...
Don't bother. They have "active listing" for houses that are sold.
Crashed once during first use. I dont like that you have to tell it that you want to see more pictures while scrolling through a home album - it's annoying. The quick information about a home is helpful at a glance.
Used to be a worthwhile app to use in my previous house hunt. Now every time I try and use it I get 0 results if I apply any filters. Sometimes even with zero filters I get zero results. I like their concept but implementation is bad. Much easier to use the Utah real estate app. I wish homie would fix their app. I think the last time that I used it and had it function properly was 2019.
I heard all the rave about home. I used to love using the app to get updates on homes for sale. Now I can no longer browse and the app is stuck on three screens. I also applied for financing and was approved but then they would never get back to me and set me up with an agent to help me buy. My experience was the opposite of all the positive reviews. Since I can no longer browse I Uninstaller the app
I love the new homie app. The new architecture is fast. The new user interface is intuitive and easy to use. Flipping through homes, saving your searches, faving houses and requesting tours is better than ever.
App doesn't really work. Pictures stop loading after using it for a short amount of time. I tried to create a log in, and it just said session expired before I could complete the process.
The app sucks. Constantly signs me out. Hardly works. Not user friendly. Notifications work but you can't click on them to view the darn search results and what not. Homie has an awesome service but their android app is awful.
The searching function is awful. I keep setting my price range and it will only show me multi million dollar houses. I say no HOA and get nothing but HOA. What a poor app for a company that spends so much on advertising. Also scrolling though pictures was really annoying I would like to scroll through all of the pictures not 5 of them and ask to continue looking. What a joke...
I am looking at areas and prices to buy in the future. The app is great at seeing, tons of filters make it easy for what u are looking for.
App = 3 stars Company = 0 stars The app works alright. A little janky and non- responsive, especially compared to other apps like Redfin and Zillow. Missing some pretty important features. The business on the other hand is just awful. We probably spent about 5k more just buying through them with their buying fee and lies about covering appraisal costs etc. They lied to us about the interest rate through Homie Loans (.7% higher than average). Too many other problems to list here.
Filters never work, duplicate listings, riddled with shameless self-promoting ads. Doesn't crash that often, so I guess that warrants two stars.
App is SO SLOW and doesn't save searches properly.
Love this app. I love checking the houses moving around me and this app is so easy. You can search by location, or specific home details. I have worked with Homie agents in the past and they are so friendly and knowledgeable.
This app would be great if you could collapse the little list of home at the bottom half of the screen. Really annoying.
The filters in this app doesn't work and it loads the static thumbnail picture before the actual picture and sometimes it gets stuck there.
When I logged in with my google account, I immediately was sent security emails saying new sign in on unknown OS. I have not seen this before when I use google to log on, and my phone is not a new device. IDK, It did not feel right.
It seems that the only purpose of this app is to get you to use their pre qualification for home loans. They contact you for that. Setting up a tour or requesting information on a specific home - no response
As much as I liked this for looking at homes in utah it seemed like if I went outside of Utah to any other place like Nevada or Oregon it would say that there were no listings. Meanwhile on other real estate apps I could go to almost any place in the US to figure out the pricing outside of Utah... so.... I'm sorry. I loved this app but I need more freedom of choice here.
At first I was able to look at the home with the your picture, 2 days later I can't. I love looking at home that I can't afford and seeing the beautiful structures. However now I'm unable, not so sure if I like this able now.
Filters STILL not working! at least it shows up on my Facebook from time to time since it won't ON MY PHONE. What's the point of having an app then?
I dealt with two people, one named Kurt, he was super ego driven, rambled on for almost 30 minutes about nothing, I couldn't get a word in at all, he made a lot of assumptions... I would not recommend homie at all, the app, the people, none of it.
The app is totally useless on my phone. It crashes when your try to do anything. I have a Samsung S10. It also does the same thing for by husband who has a Nexus. Please fix your app
The app is so convenient! It doesn't show ALL the homes in an area, but it's pretty darn close. Love working with our Homie agents.
App is very easy to use. User friendly. With the real estate market being tough right now, the Homie app makes searching and researching easy to do. Thanks Homie!
I haven't actually bought a house through homie, but the app functionality is great! User Friendly and easy to find what I want.
We don't have enough money to buy a house on homey, apparently. The only houses they have available are way out of our price range. (Arizona, 150k max)
I put in the information of what I'm looking for and it says there are no listings at all anywhere but when I put the exact same information in the Zillow it comes up with a whole bunch of different listings
This app is poorly designed and difficult to use. It's slow to load, has a hard time transitioning between properties (click on a different property and the image doesn't change), shared links to friends come up with nothing when they click on it. Lots of frustrating things about this app, but unfortunately, there are still some properties only on Homie, so it's debatably worth the occasional hassle.
