Great tool to assist the driver (me) of our Honda Odyssey. It is so nice having my wife control Audio & Video entertainment as well as heat, etc. which allows me to focus on driving as safely as possible. One star short of a 5 star rating because it does not do volume control - please, please, please build that in so that the driver does not have to constantly adjust volume up and down to deal with high and low volume peaks and dips that almost every DVD seems to have.
App gets an F. I can't for the life of me figure out the point of this app. Apparently you have to be in the vehicle to use the app. Why would I open an app on my phone while I'm sitting in the vehicle and have controls for literally everything at my fingertips??? The app barely has any usable features. How about an app that includes remote start, ACTUAL climate control settings for the front AND back, turn on/off heated seats & heated steering wheel, and actual entertainment system controls!?!?
Locked out. I cant use it when I am a passenger because I selected driver when I first configured it and it won't let me change it. The remote start does not work which was the only reason I selected driver in the first place. Why there is not a option to tell it I am a passenger when I open it is beyond me. It also has trouble linking and does not even connect more than half the time.
Scary privacy terms and conditions, and access requests. Why would you need to collect "your search content, including navigation destinations and search terms", and "your use of the Application and the application environment", where "application environment" would be the phone OS, meaning everything we do on our phone. Why do you request access to contacts without indicating any contact-related feature?
Sending routes to the navigation system, switching XM stations from a rear seat...very cool. Would like to be able to adjust the volume though.
Wish you could do more with it what is the point of adjusting the rear climate control, your already in the car...
I feel like this app should provide a little bit more options that can give the ability to control car functions i.e. light settings, a/c & heat, etc.
It's nice being able to control climate, gps, and the entertainment system in my parents car. GPS can be slow sometimes.
This app needs the ability to disable the lockout. Why would the owner of the vehicle be locked out of the app when the vehicle is moving? So as a passenger, I am unable to use this app.
Works sometimes, but notoriously slow and buggy AF. Honda should stop hyping this rubbish. Pay $$$ for a top line trim new car and they infotainment apps don't even work properly.
Not the best app available for today's technology. Honda is wayyy behind technology when it comes to cars which is the only thing that they are good about it

Does not work with my Galaxy S8+. I connect to the car's network and all of the songs I add are stuck on "buffering". I would really like to use this app so if anyone knows a solution to this problem I would really appreciate it.
It works with my samsung s8+ really well. But the songs that are in Korean come out in broken Korean and do not play.
Useful and convenient for sharing music
Why does it say that I cannot use the app when my wife is the one driving? It says that the device is the driver's mobile. How do I fix this?
It connects to vehicle wifi and then says app needs update. Anyone know how to fix?
It works spot on! Remember that the phone or phones have to be connected to the same network as the Odyssey. If they are, the devices will be aware of each other and of the rear entertainment system. Only one phone can control the audio at a time. Only one phone can control the climate control at a time. Social Playlist is just like a jukebox. Mom may collect quarter$ if she chooses. Everyone can put songs in as long as the songs are on their phones. If streaming is your thing, then embedded Spotify and i💙radio will get you covered. Both are in the RES but controllable from the CabinControl app. @Honda, how is the "drivers phone" determined? (That limits functionality while moving)

Honda really missed the mark on this app. This review is primarily focused on the CLIMATE CONTROLS. First, what the app DOES do when the vehicle is started normally (non-remote). 1. Allows control of the REAR climate controls, and the main fan speed. 2. Allows selection of source for the entertainment system, as well as track/radio station selection. What the app does NOT do: 1. After remote start, you cannot control ANY of the climate controls or the radio controls with the app until you get in the vehicle and press START while foot is on the brake. *****The problem with this is that it gets really cold in Indiana during the winter, and very hot in the summer. After remote start, you cannot turn the air conditioning or heater/defroster on, or adjust any climate controls. You can't even preset the controls when you get out of the vehicle and shut it off. Upon remote start, the fan runs at a low speed and the temp setting is not known, as the entire climate control on the dash is blacked out and it does not "remember" the actual settings you had when the vehicle was shut off. You literally have to get in the vehicle, press the START button while holding the brake (just like regular starting procedure) before you can change ANY climate settings, period. 2. There is NO VOLUME CONTROL on the app. *****I did not explore other entertainment system functions, primarily because those are not useful to me (2020 Pilot EX and 2020 CR-V EX-L w/NO 2nd row entertainment system) and I can't for the life of me imagine a situation that I need remote control of the front entertainment system. What would make this app/system better: 1. Allow remote app control of the following: a) All climate controls including defrosters, mirror heaters and seat heaters. b) Volume control on entertainment system. c). Adjust the driver seat to the settings of the fob that remote started the vehicle (this applies to my wife's 2020 CR-V EX-l). I currently have to wait for the seat to adjust AFTER I open the door, while standing in the pouring rain. In it's current form, I really have no use for the app. Remote start is nice, but without climate control even that serves no purpose to me. Sure the vehicle engine is warmed up, but I still have to get in, restart the vehicle, then turn on the air conditioning or heater/defroster. My wife and I love our new 2020 Pilot EX and 2020 CR-V EX-L. The build quality and features on both are excellent. The app has so much potential, but falls very short of what it could be. Very disappointed in the app and unless you have the rear entertainment system (neither of us do) I can't recommend this app. Honda, you can do way better than this. If I have made any mistakes or misrepresentations, I will gladly edit this review upon receipt of corrected information.
