I was so excited about Firstly because it is the only one that seems to offer ALL of what I needed. I have been purposely holding off on giving feedback because one issue is rendering the entire app useless. That coupled with practically begging for information from their response team has made using the app a complete waste of time. Firstly's team does NOT even answer all questions, provide actual ETA's and keep the user in the loop. No news is not good news, it's just bad customer service.
With so many things to love, the frustrating little bugs here and there are pretty easy to ignore. The devs are constantly updating, and while slow to respond right now, still do their utmost to fix every issue you may have. I've been using it for a year and a half and i don't have any plans of changing my budget planning app.
Great app, it has it's downsides but mostly nothing too bad. All of my notifications stopped working and that was the main reason I use this app. If those work again it would be 5 stars for sure.
glitches randomly..ill update some of the transactions (change their category, reoccuring payment, etc) and the next time i go on the app, the info ive updated will be changed back to the default, causing me to have to update all over again. also would love to see a section to pay off debt. love the ease of the app, but still needs work.
My husband and I started using this app in September. It has changed the way that we communicate about money. Now we talk and share a whole lot more! What I love about the app: -We each have our own login. No sharing passwords. -We see real time comments. When a transaction hits we can add notes. -Customer service is really responsive. They answer questions FAST! -Assigning categories is VERY easy. -Budgeting is easy and simple. We don't need a complex budgeting feature. -Emojis- I know it
I started using this app with my fiance a few years ago. We wanted to view our financial information while keeping our accounts separate until we became legally married. This app allows us to migrate all of our accounts into a single app.. We can see balances, upcoming bills, and track our spending. We developed budgets and adjusted accordingly. HoneyFi taught us how to eliminate $15k in credit card debt, saving us money! The team is helpful and we are grateful for finding this application!
I couldn't get past putting my bank info in. It said that it was accepted, and then it would go back to the bank search page and say I have to relog-in to complete the set up, which I did 3 more times. It just keeps going back to the page. I can't say it's a good or bad app, but for one you expect me to pay for I would like to think it actually works.
Very helpful app! Loving the constant improvements, especially the newly added customizable categories. We'd really been needing that feature to make our budget more accurate. Setting our own dates for budget cycle would be even better 😁 Worth the monthly fee but I'd love an option to pay yearly with a discount. Keep up the improvements!
Easy to use app that allows for seamless tracking of $$$ within a couples daily spending habits. Does require frequent attention and correcting of specific transactions into proper categories but once you get used to that you will be able to see where your $$$ is going exactly. Highly recommend.
I've tried several different budgeting apps over the last few years, and this one has worked the best for our needs. It keeps our account up to date with new purchases, which was lacking in the other apps I used. And, I had a great experience resolving an issue through customer service.
The app worked extremely well and helped my wife and I manage our budget in the few months we used it. However, sometime in the past 2 months, our bank account has stopped syncing with the app. The last update for us in the HoneyFi app was Friday, October 19th. We have since moved on to another app after realizing it wasn't updating properly anymore.
Brilliant app and great tool to share a budget. We switched from another "Honey" app because there were too many unfixed bugs, but this one has been great. There have been a few issues, but they've been very responsive.
I'm truly disappointed. I do wanted this to work. There have been various items that don't show up, throwing my entire budget off and it takes days to hear from anyone through help. If you don't respond when they reply, the message disappears and you're back at square one, waiting multiple days for someone to reply. Of course this problem didn't show up until after the trial period and Google wouldn't give me my money back. I would really love a refund.
Was really good but they started charging monthly, so it seems a little bait and switch to me. Sorry my husband and i are out. I would suggest a basic one for free and maybe with the newer stuff like savings and such maybe a price to upgrade.
Love this app ❤️ My husband and I have Individual accounts and joint accounts. I like seeing all the accounts roll up and create a joint budget. The customer support has been outstanding when I have questions and there's regular product updates (not just bug fixes).
Very good app. The only reason we didn't stick with it was that one of our banks wasn't supported otherwise we'd be using it still. Interface was mostly intuitive. Simple and good.
The best finance management app I've found when you need to manage a household (2 or more people). The support is super awesome and they've even gone out of their way to add feature requests that I've made. 5 stars all the way!
Honeyfi has a great UI and experience! I love that it easily keeps all of my accounts up-to-date so I can view them in one place. I'd like to see more financial styles represented here: for example, my fiance and I want to see our balances so we can pay bills and whatnot, but we do not have joint accounts and therefore we want to be able to see our individual balances in addition to the combined total of all accounts. Regardless, I'm happy with Honeyfi so far and looking forward to updates.
Minimum connections with online only banks or payment accounts. Too many issues with Plaid not connecting with SoFi, Varo, Azlo, PayPal (debit/cash card), Chime, Current, CreditOne, IndigoCard, CashApp, Walmart Money Card/Go Bank/Greendot, etc... Unfortunately, there are persistent issues with connectivity with banks overall from tests - especially online only banks (that's if your bank is available for connection...many popular ones are not). I like this but needs refinement & UX upgrades.
I have been using my Honeyfi app to keep track of my bank accounts and 1 credit card. It turns out my credit card was no longer connected, and the app didn't alert me of the fact. My husband and I have different family matters divided between us, because there are so many moving parts. This app is one of the ways I thought I was keeping myself in the loop. This app not alerting me to that fact has caused serious financial damage that will take years to unravel. Lost this customer today guys.
There are a few bugs with account link up (saying incorrect login, when it definitely isn't is one I run into a lot, and JCPenney not being the correct login web address) several unsupported or even incorrect institutions (Ulta Credit, Wesbanco, Lendkey). I love the concept. I love the categories and budget, the design is beautiful and easy to utilize.
I heard about how good this app was so I thought I'd give it a try. I started to sign up but then right away it asked for my bank information. It would be nice to be able to sign up check out the app and see how it works without being asked to enter back info. I did more research and found out it was $60 a year. I read they offer a 30 day free trial but again it doesn't mention that in the beginning of signing up. An instructional video or pictures with way more information would be great.
Have been looking for the right budget app for a long time! This is it! Perfect for couples to communicate. Built in savings, intuitive. Highly recommend this app!
Definitely worth it for the fact that my partner and i can see everything fpr all the accounts we have paired. Can see all purchases, account balances, debts and even your net worth.
This app is the best couples finance app I've used. It is probably as good as or better than Mint and is pretty easy to use. That being said, I'm not sure it's worth $60 a year when Mint and other individual finance apps are free, but I will see as I start to use the couple's functions of the app more.
Upon signung up, it required me to link my bank before anything else. After I did that it said it was linked successfully and I need to log in again to continue. So I did. Then it asked to search for my bank again. I linked my bank FOUR times and decided it's apparently not an app I want to rely on if I can't even get signed in without problems.
I wish it would distribute your budget according to the settings of each transaction. For example, a joint credit card can be assigned the people responsible for each transaction. If a transaction is not assigned to me, I don't want that to be counted towards my expense and my budget.
This is a great app even for singles. It's just easy to use and you can really see where your money is going in real time. I would recommend this to anyone who uses many accounts because you can see all the transactions in one place
Originally gave a negative review because of an unexpected issue within the app. New review: Customer service is incredible. One of the co-founders continued a conversation with me after my review, appreciated my opinion, and sought a solution to my issue. Much appreciated. The only reason I'm giving a 4 vs 5 star review is that I'm not utilizing all of their services to have a full opinion. But, customer service means everything to me and Honeyfi has it!
Exactly what my husband & I've been looking for. It can be a little buggy nothing that ruins its purpose. Not 5 stars cuz some of my listed financial institutions won't sync, manual entry works but if the transaction doesn't show up it can be easy to miss something. Transcations update a little slow. If you edit a bill amount in calendar it edits all the other ones for that bill, no fluctuating options. Can't add a subcategory to income, which is wild to me. That's all I can think of for now.
