The app is horrible and so are the other channels for ticket sales. They can't issue tickets over the phone in time for same day flights, the website is terribly buggy and this app keeps you stuck in perpetual loops. For the last 4 years, I've been flying Hong Kong airlines 2-3 times a month. I'll be switching over to other carriers that are more keen on doing business.
Utterly useless. I had already created an account online but couldn't pay by credit card online. I called my bank and they said they weren't declining it. I thought I could use the app to get around the payment issue. Made it all the way to the checkout screen and it gave me an error. Web page cannot be displayed. Wow! I guess you don't want my money!
I can't see any justification for the application to require permissions to make/receive phone calls and have access to photos and files on my phone. Uninstalled without bothering to use it. Will rather use the web version than let it have access to things it shouldn't need.
Doesn't catch up with the technology, not support Android 10. Pop a message to blame my phone is at low security level and not allow to use. But there is no clue to fix it!
Very unreliable app, always says the app has stop working. Don't get it and don't buy plane tickets from this airline. I always like trying new airlines but this will be My first and last!
I want to choose No Star in fact. Tried 10 times to check-in and after entering all info, it is just gone forever and asked again for enter info. No wonder the airline is going to close business.
can't even use my airpass tickets. website not letting me log in. app always gives error message at final confirmation. terrible. no wonder they have finnacial problems.

Somewhat useful but each time i turn on my phone i get a notice that the app has failed in the background.
useless as others describe. After inputting my data, always comes back with system in maintenance mode
Starts off in English and turns to Chinese. Unless you're bilingual this app won't be of much use
nothing works on this apps reward program. it has no problem taking your money but every other feature or fuction is broken
cant register cant check it cant seelct seat, havent used any app like this especially ita for flight, and u select country part is case sensitive.very not user friendly
Many of its functions require registration. Not so convenient for some travelers.
Dumbest app ever. I really don't understand how could an airline company run with such a poor booking app. You must fire all tech engineers.

to check in on app or on line if ur name is in caps use all caps if u have Mr or Miss on your name add that as middle name 851- add the dash or it will not work yes its very buggy took my 15 trys to check in one line
Flight fare is different from offical website. So misleading....

There's been bad reviews of this app so I wasn't really sure if I wanted to even install it. However, the website is really bad. Especially when you're trying to reset the password. Sends you in loops. I got much further on the app on resetting my password and its much faster than the website. The negative (both site and app); it takes an extremely long time to receive the verification code email or text message. Both website and app still need a lot of work, but at least I can do what I need.
