Game looks good but is flawed. Played several hands today - in two, the game did not detect my win. In another, it displayed 5 red dragons and 5 nine dots!? I uninstall it - I don't trust it. Update: Developer may be right about level - if that was the case the game should have said that as other mahjong games do - but I saw the extra tiles that I mentioned and that's a deal breaker for me. I saw in a previous review that another player had the same concern about too many tiles.

Too much effort spent on useless graphics such as a "virtual" mahjong table and chairs, etc. Also, in an actual game the discarded tiles are never arranged neatly in front of each player, making it too easy to guess that player's overall strategy! Randomly placed (discarded) tiles will increase the degree of difficulty for defensive games (to prevent the holder of strong hands from winning). The artificial intelligence of this game needs to be upgraded to a much higher level.

Fun. exactly how we play in "real life." only thing i would say, is if it was possible to move the tiles around once it was automatically dealt. sometimes a bit hard (for me, at least) to picture how i want it rearranged in my head. In "real life" you can move tiles around to try different combos before discarding a tile (instead of eyeballing in your head, if that makes sense). other then that, its the real deal, one i've been looking for instead of the ridiculous matching tile mahjong games.

EXCELLENT!! 5 Stars - however could do with some more features. I downloaded a few apps. This one is close to perfect. The graphics are alright, but wish tiles were larger (need a tablet). Play 3 rounds to understand the game well enough Really disappointed that I had to go to the effort to return to play store, find app, just to make this review. It was worth the effort to help others know it is an excellent app. Please add undo feature or reduce sensitivity in case accidentally tap card.

Good usually, but there are some issues/bugs with the Advanced Game, especially for self drawn tiles. Unable to win, when it's a clear win. Have to close app and open it again to resume game to win, gets quite annoying sometimes. Hopefully someone can fix it. Nice to play otherwise.

I love this app for learning Chinese style mahjong. There are however some small AI issues. I have not been awarded chows at times. I have also not been awarded special hand wins like Beijing Garden, and All Terminal wins. It is frustrating to miss out on a special hand win but I still play this app everyday. So easy to use. Just fix the AI issues and it will be my favourite Mahjong app.

I learned how to play Hong Kong Style Mahjong thru this app. It is my FAVORITE game! And I love the sound effects of the tiles, subtle clicks - very calming. I think I may just be ready to join the Mahjong Monday group at the library! (Yes, its a thing!) Thank you so much for this game. UPDATE: VERY buggy lately!!!!! Had to lower my rating from 5 to 3. Update: problem fixed. But they let me win too much. Would be more challenging if I lost big sometimes.

It's fun but a bit messed up. For example there were 8 of one tile at the end of the game and there should only be 4 of each tile. Sometimes does not allow you to Chow even though you clearly should be able to. Please fix and it will be more authentic.

The controls are poor. I ended up throwing away the wrong tile more than half the time, because I couldn't "unselect" a given tile prior to it being discarded.

Sometimes cannot pong a tile. I've had a case where two of the same tile came one after the other, it was the tile I needed to pong, but somehow I could only pong the second. There was another case where the player right before me played a tile I could pong, and I couldn't take it. This isn't for all pongs, which work 99% of the time. This is a special case and a bug, which the dev needs to look into

there are a few problems that are consistent. on some hands when i know it qualifies for maj it won't credit as a win. wants me to pick and keep going. i have discovered thst if i go to help when i come back it defaults to win. there are a few other problems like when picking from wall skips my maj tile and i get dealt the next one. all i all i do enjoy game

Enjoyable eventhough Hong Kong style is new to me. I needed to review the rules...otherwise it seemed like the app was misbehaving. I have had some trouble with touch screen and tile movement, but "app may not be optimized" for my device". Ill be sharing this with my mahjongg group - it may be a while before we can play together again.

Not many options for real mahjong out there. This one is fun but glitchy. It is missing 4 tiles. Mahjong had 144 tiles. After dealing there should be 91 left but there are only 87. Ive had drawn games because of missing tiles. Sometimes it picks up but though can't see it hid behind another tile until you discard. Sometimes it doesn't acknowledge a pong, chow or even a mahjong. There are many other glitchy things. Please fix this cuz I play it all the time.

My phone constantly overheats from this game. There are ads after each round. It's very draining on the battery. The point system is pretty accurate, sometimes 1or 2 point off

Jac. S. Feb 20, 2020

mistakes in game can make a person lose. can't have a kong of white dragon, and have someone also discard another one. should not have game miss your selection of a tile discard you can use for your exposed hand and instead give it to the player after you...this happens too often. lose desire to continue when computer game is set up against you

Overall it's a good game and enjoyable. It has helped me learn Mahjong. This app often misses needed discarded tiles, so I have lost many times. The problem seems to be mostly with chow sets.

Been playing this for a while now and it's a great game. Closest to the real thing I've found. A few glitches with game play which it looks like the developer is working on (one I've not seen mentioned in previous comments is when it sometimes doesn't allow a Chow when it should). In general though it is excellent. Keep up the good work!

good general feel. different scoring rules than I'm used to. unfortunately some features seem to be bugged. can't actually enter names, despite the field to do so. Music may or may not actually play. otherwise seems good.

When I downloaded this app my phone screen went black and my desktop picture disappeared. Then I noticed some of my photos missing or deleted. Not sure if this app caused something to happen but it was the only thing active when this happened.

This is my fave mahjong game on Android. (Japanese mahjong is too crazy and chaotic for me.) It looks good, deals fairly, and the tiles click beautifully. It also teaches you how to play, though sometimes the suggested moves are bunk. I'd like to see better English, hear better voices, and be able to customize appearances more, but for now this is my go-to mahjong game.

oly. t. May 14, 2022

Very easy to play. Great ro have it. Thank you.

Amy. K. Apr 4, 2019

Great game with some faults. Some games haven't allowed me to win even though I've met the minimum required level. Needs looking at as happened a few times already. Other than that it's a really good and so addictive

Mic. W. Feb 7, 2020

Enjoyable game but have experienced many instances of not being able to chow. Also instances of opponents showing their hand for a second during the game. Had one instance of 5 lahm fong tiles in a game.
