With my favourites films and series gone from this app, currently I don't think this app is good enough to garner more stars. Also, the rental movies "feature" is hideous, when you have a subscription-based model. You should (must) only choose one of the business model. To have both, just shows you how greedy you are. There is however some good point from this app, cable TV and some premium series is quite decent (at best)

nope, not worth the price at all. ok, it's because Netflix is your superior competitor, and i don't think it's really a smart decision to crank up the price offering us with what you call collection. you barely have anything in there. and maybe a small collection of films that i actually want to watch, but then i have to pay more for this thing you call tickets. which renders my VIP subscription useless. on the other hand, the app itself looks quite stable, and UI, UX are quite pleasing.

The app either on mobile phone or on TV was so unstable. It took ages to play a movie which sometime couldn't play and reported error. I don't think it is about internet connectuon because I rarely have the issue with the 'N' app. So I didn't bother to subscribe it anymore. Pro side: there are lots of Japanese animation to enjoy. For improvement: There should be 1. Trailer of each movie for us to consider if it's our interest 2. Functions to skip intro (and out-tro for next ep.)

Worst experience ever. The app screen goes blank / black with just the audio and the subtitles playing. This happens on the whims and fancy of the app. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesnt help at all. The customer support service is not prompt at all. Beware before putting the money in the subscription.

Download is not that fast, titles are very limited and all I am being offered are series instead of movies. Supergirl is great and my son loved it but download speed is not so we could no longer watch it. Uninstalling because one of my favorite shows, Lucifer, is no longer supported. Would consider subscribing again if I can access it again thru this platform, or if something equally interesting (i.e., another good series, very useful feature, etc) pops up in the future.

The director and actor names are showing the same. The progress is not synced when viewing between devices. The progress does not update when you exit what you're watching. You need to exit the app and relaunch it to refresh the progress. When changing to new devices, you need to email support so they can reset your device count when you reached the limit of 5. Why can't it be just a self-service feature with the account? Audio quality is not as good as when using other streaming services.

I really want to subscribe to hooq because hooq has more episodes of my favorite TV shows than Netflix. But the problem is, I can't subscribe because it when I press the subscription button, nothing happens, it just turns into a white screen and goes back. Also I always encounter the" Error 1039 Endpoint is deprecated" which I don't know what means so I really hope you fix the bug/issue so I can watch my Favorite TV shows without any problems so until this is fixed, it will stay as 1 star

Great. Good movies and drama selection. But need to improve on the movies and drama available for download. I subscribe, stream well mostly with occasional glitch "player error" but the availability of shows with download options need load of improvement. Download speed is very slow and needs to improve. Stability of the player for streaming can be improved.

If you can't decide whether to buy this service or not, or looking for an honest review, this one will be a huge help. Worst streaming service ever. You guys should be ashamed of swindling people like this. Already the available titles are pathetic and less, on top of which you can't even watch more than half of them, because these titles apparently have to be "rented additionally". What's the point of paying for subscription then, if you have to "additionally rent" half of the titles? I only downloaded the app to watch the big bang theory online hassle-free. (the fact that this app has big bang theory and friends among its titles is by far the only good thing about this app). But instead what I got was a sheer waste of time and money. First of all I can never watch anything on my desktop, even when the Internet connectivity on my desktop is flawless. After only 5 minutes of streaming it starts buffering and never reloads. The first two times it happened I thought maybe the connection must be faulty, since I have never had any problem streaming on my phone. But around the third time, I was streaming it on chrome, and it stopped playing, so I started working on something else on Firefox, and after 6 hours or so when I went to shut down my computer I realised I never closed that chrome tab and found that the screen was still buffering. Imagine my frustration. Secondly I don't know whether you know what the term 'downloading for offline viewing' means, but I really feel that everyone would be better off if you do away with that option altogether. If you have downloaded some titles on netflix or amazon prime video and you do not have internet on your phone, those services won't allow you to explore new titles but at least they'll revert you directly to the episodes or films that you have downloaded. And the most important thing - THEY'LL REMAIN ON YOUR PHONE UNTIL YOU DELETE THEM. but what your pathetic, not to mention sleazy app does, is first of all it never opens at all if there is no connection, so there is no point in opening it without connection, or downloading anything for that matter, and even if by some miracle I am able to open it (no miracle really, I have to ask someone with an internet connection to switch on their portable hotspot for like 10 seconds, so that I can get the damn app to open at least) I find that all of my downloads have vanished. Why? God knows... This is the worst part, because apart from having nothing to pass time with, I am also stuck with the realization that this app has wasted a large amount of data as well as my phone's battery charge, not to mention my own time. Not that downloading is the coolest option anyway but because, as it turns out, you can only have 10 downloads maximum at a time. (who's surprised?) Please don't say numerous bugs and errors improved. There is absolutely no improvement. The only change, not improvement, Change, that I saw is the button for viewing profile has been shifted from bottom right hand corner to upper left hand corner (with a smiley for an icon, is that what you mean by improvement? If it is, sorry to say, you are mistaken, its called UI change). Please explain this to me: why on earth will a sane person pay for your abysmal service, when there are literally 50 other options available on the Internet, and when I say 50, I'm only talking about PAID subscription. There are twice as many free options also. As far as the paid options go, they are cheaper too, you know. You are charging almost as much as Prime video, and they are far better service in every possible way. I'm extremely disappointed, angry and frustrated. I know its a long shot but I would like to be reimbursed. The amount was not much, only 90 bucks, and I don't really have any need for it, yet I am asking for a reimbursement to serve as an indicator of the amount of frustration that I have endured because of this app. And I am an extremely patient person, as you can probably judge from this long review that I have written. I am uninstalling this app now.

I have been using HOOQ for nearly a week and switched from Amazon Prime specifically to watch latest episodes of The CW Network Series and TBBT. After a few days of usage, I am unhappy with Experience of the app for the following reasons, 1) The App interface is very Slow and the buffering also takes time in spite of having high speed internet. 2) Have to click multiple times on the App Icons for Video Playback to open the Video. (It show loading after each click and does not play) 3) After downloading the Video Playback doesn't play (Tried once, so deleted the video and continued watching on Internet Streaming) @HOOQ Team - Kindly, improve your interface to provide a better Streaming experience and App usage experience. As I have 3 months package, post 3 months my continuation with HOOQ will purely depend on the App and Streaming Experience. Thank you

why is your website too slow to load? i usually watch movies on my laptop and i never had this kind of experience with Netflix or iflix. my internet connection is fine. it's really hard to select titles on your website when it doesn't show them all bec it's too slow. please fix. this is too basic, it's ridiculous!

I don't know of a more disastrous app experience. The downloads are a joke, and the app apparently is designed to keep the users out. The download time and data consumed for all qualities apparently is considerable and I doubt if they even care to properly compress the content - it's data intensive and gets occasionally distorted. Making a video offline is a herculean task, making sure it gets offline multiple times and starting again if it just ignored the process midway. I doubt if the service is anywhere worth the low pricing point.

this app won't just play the videos! whenever i click on some video, it just says an error occurred, please try again later. this happened before some times, but now any video that I've played, this message is shown! even the offline content doesn't play. content of app is very good, but not satisfied with this error. please fix this as soon as possible.

I can't believed latest update give some bugs for example till i download 1 video and i have been waiting so long approximate almost 1 day that's video doesn't completely downloaded it's just stuck 75%, going check on my internet data stable on 4G. And last things are about trying 1 day subscribe, i think have latency notifications to displayed in apps menu. Ow gosh that's trouble gave me curious in headaches! would you fix it asap! Thanks for your effort to us. Cheers!!!

At my first month it was good, but then in my second the download feature slows down and im watching and downloading series in 50mbps wifi and it gives low quality videos. Please fix this. I think there's a bug crawling in the app. Also the download doesnt work on background not like iflix and netflix..it allows you to download and see the progress in your dropdown..

This app's collections of movies and series are great. Grey's Anatomy is the best series i've seen so far and thanks to HOOQ for hooking me up with it. However, I've noticed during my use of this app, it frequently crashed and it is frustrating when you're in the middle of watching a nerve wrecking scene. So I would very much appreciate it if HOOQ could do something to make the app go smoother and more flawlessly. I believe it would very much enhance the user's experience. Thankyou.

Update: This is already fixed. Thank you so much! This app crashes everytime I open something about downloading. When I open it again, and I go to the same show, it then crashes, even if I don't tap on the download button. I can't download nor watch offline. It's been a month. Can't watch on an ipad without wearing a headset. Can't get any sound without it.

I appreciate the quality and choices of movies/shows provided here but the downloading of shows are often slow and inefficient. Furthermore, I don't think HOOQ is user friendly, there are things we have to manually remove or do to get things going smoothly. As a user, I would rather opt for Netflix.

Although there are many selection of movies and tv shows, i am disappointed because even though i paid for a subscription, ads keeps on popping while watching movies, you cannot even skip them. You have to wait for the ad to finish. Kindly fix this problem, i didnt pay for ads, i paid for uninterrupted streaming.

App needs a lot of improvement. Whenever you watch a video and try to watch the next it will stop ypu have to go back again and then select again for it to continue. It's ok bec there's a lot to choose from, however, there's a lot bugs. Also i wanted to pay to subscribe it won't let me just a white screen.

I really enjoy using Hooq App. But at times due to low memory I was forced a to do factory reset on all of my devices multiple times. Because of it I'm not able to access the App. It says "You have reached maximum number of linked devices. You will need to log out of your devices to add a new device [2203]" Kindly fix this issue as soon as possible.

if you watch the tv channel, even if you are subscribed, you'll get ads. and there's no moderation for the ads whatsoever. ads EVERY SINGLE TIME you switch channels. guess what happens when you got dc or error and the channel refresh? MORE ADS! it's like a flood of the same ads over and over. i get it that you need money to maintain all that channels and shows, but please show some moderation. 1 ad every hour or so, or maybe even two. it isn't hard to code that. i feel like i waste my money here

This was so much better when it was in our laptop cause' there were a lot of free and good movies and series but now that I downloaded this in my mobile phone, everything has to be paid. I can't even found any of the free movies and series I watched back then. It's draining our wifi and I don't get to watch good shows. Please improve this. Thank you.

When I tried to open the app it says "cannot connecting to hooq please try again later" it's kinda annoying and an inconvenience when you want to watch a movie and don't get me started on the loading, it takes forever. And in hooq you can create your own watchlist, that's a plus for me.

Despite being a paid subscription based service this app does not have a stable enough streaming rate even though the ISP I used is Telkomsel which usually has no problem with Youtube videos. Picks for shows is relatively small too, and isn't as up to date as its competitors in the market. Subtitles are often not showing up or not synced/timed well enough. If it weren't for Telkomsel splitting my data to this service I wouldn't have wanted to install this. Big disappointment so far.
