Hoover Wizard

Dreadful app. Trying to setup the washer dryer with the app is so difficult. "You must be connected to the internet" over and over. I AM BLOODY CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET! Eventually if you turn your WiFi off and on again and keep trying it'll work. And another thing - it recognises my machine model via the serial number, but the steps that it shows to follow to pair the machine don't apply to my machine! It shows a photo of a totally different machine, with different settings on the dial!

The original app didn't work very well, but the latest version, so far, is easier and more reliable. Like the fact that you can check on screen that the machine matches temp and spin, so you know it will work on the wash you want. Loads of features and tips. Only thing that would make it the best, would be if you got notification on you phone when wash had finished, not a criticism, just a suggestion for the future?

Works somewhat better since the last update. The app still won't start a 'wash and dry' programme. I have to launch a dry once the wash has finished. Other than that most functions do work, there's sometimes a delay in whether the app recognises the washer is on but it does show up eventually. Would like to see some improvements

Disappointing app, loses connection and either says offline or updating when the dishwasher is in remote control mode. Why does the machine have to be put in a special mode why can't it always be connected. Have uninstalled app added and removed appliance and setup from scratch several times it connects then shortly goes back to offline or updating. Checked router and WiFi signal is strong to the dishwasher and 2.4ghz and not far from the machine so that is not the issue.

The recent update not good at all. The previous style and version of the app worked perfectly. Now no diagnostics. That just disappeared. Can't syn the washing machine to see the done cycle charts. I can start certain programs and that's about it. If it's changing in the future I will change my review too, but atm it would be 0 stars I gave 2 couse the previous was 4 at least.

Love the app, has programs that are not on the dial, allows you to change settings on some of the functions like the spin or temperature, sends an alert when the cycle is finished and offers to set a refresh cycle to keep the load fresh until you get home to dry it.... going to get the matching dryer which can be added to the app so both appliances are in one place

If I could give this zero stars I would. Trying to setup an oven, just says Appliance setup Complete' followed by 'You have xx:xx to complete the procedure'. When the timer expires it says the connection failed 'Oven Not Found'. Repeating causes same issue. Tried on each of my three wifi networks on 2.4GHz to no avail. Completely and utterly useless, will box up the oven and cart it back to the shop! I develop connected medical apps for a living. Connecting an oven should be seamless - Get some new programmers, your current lot are completely clueless!

Works well when you first setup or app. Do a wash the switch off and when you try and reconect door don't lock and won't connect to washer. You have to delete washer and setup again. It's quicker to just use buttons. Sort it out with another update so it can reconnect when selecting WiFi.

Absolutely diabolical. When it did work the nfc connection was very touch and go, often the position of the phone needing manipulating before starting a wash. Now the app has kicked me out and tells me I have no Internet connection to log back in. I guess there's a way for the t to work again but I've lost patience with it.

I've purchased the Wizard washer/dryer a few days ago and was a little sceptical about the WiFi ability, after all its just a washer/dryer right? Pleasantly, "no". My previous machine had a delay option so I could wash early in the morning (cheaper electricity), it also had specific washing options-bed, baby etc. SO DOES THIS ONE, but a lot easier to use. Instead of 'bed', it has cotton and pre-wash with a temp option and spin speed option as well as the dryer option. So far so good.

It does not work, who thinks putting WiFi on a tumble dryer is a good idea, btw its NOT, a 12 year old could code a better app, I get it seem like a good idea putting WiFi on things to make it easyer, but if you can't connect the tumble dryer to the app, to reset the dryer when it goes wrong what can you do then, and why no reset button In dryer no that would be to easy, and the sad thing is that I am not the only one looking online it a on going thing, with alot of people, thats my rant over.

This app is awful completly broken, every time I go and try and start a wash cycle using app. It errors and washing machine won't start. I have tried closing down app and re opening, switching off washing machine, clearing app storage and caches. But nothing works. The only way to get it to work in to uninstall and reinstall app. So every time To want to use washing machine I have to uninstall and reinstall app. Rediculous. App needs to completely re written.

Incredibly frustrating app. Paid extra for the washing machine that included WiFi functionality. Set up is ridiculous, asking you to press buttons on the machine that aren't on it. Finally get it set up with the help of YouTube. App throws up problems every time you want to start a wash, today it said it was washing even though the machine was off. Takes a good 5 mins of messing before you can finally start a wash. App would be super & way more useful than I imagined if it was reliable & quicker

Awful. Seriously after paying £500 for a washer dryer at the very least I expect the app to be compatible with all phones. I have a very typical smartphone but this app requires third party Apps to be useable or I can not use my app to use any of the features. Dont bother. Total waste of time. Make your app useable to all not just some. Bad business.

Once connected, the app is extremely useful as there are further wash programs that can be used. I did have to remove the device and set up again initially, but I think that was more user error. Very happy with the app.

After all the process and showing me connected to the Internet, it says I have 5 minutes to finish the procedure and then freeze, the count down time finished, then it said the procedure is not completed. Is it some kind of jock! How do you expect me to go any further if nothing is shown on the app, just freeze! Rubbish

No standard drying cycles 🤷‍♀️ the dryer scorches my laundry even on gentle cycles, so I like to dry everything for 30min max or it shrinks and creases. The sensor buttons on my washer drier are so temperamental it takes me forever to cycle to 30min drying time and I always at least one accidentally press delay wash and have to start again. So I was hoping the app would at the very least make my life easier, but when I do go standard drying cycles the page is blank 😔

Downloaded app to use on hubby's phone and my new phone. With one account details. We are unable to see the tumble dryer on the account. It only shows up on my old phone. Since that phone is old it's no longer going to be used so looks like I won't be able to use the app anymore. Any suggestions please Hoover?

I previously reviewed this app very negatively but recently changed my tumble dryer and can say the app and functionality has improved dramatically. The dryer is now fully controlled by WiFi from the phone which gives full remote control & gives notifications etc when done! Setup was relatively easy but I deducted a star because you can't use special characters in your WiFi password which makes it a little less secure. I would also like to see additional reporting like energy used per cycle etc

Totally useless app since the upgrade. Won't link to phone and the clever performance feature has totally disappeared. Not only that it won't link to my Candy (Candy and Hoover are one and the same) tumble dryer either saying that the serial number isn't valid.

Honestly, Hoover should stick to making appliances and not apps. A UX nightmare from start to finish - e.g. QR reader doesn't work, instuctions didnt relate to my model making it almost impossible to set up, taking multiple attempts. A gimick at best.

My dishwasher is always connected to the wifi, but in the hoover wizard app its always offline. I have tried deleting the app and signing in from another phone. The maintenance technician said the problem might be from the app. Any suggestions???

The app will connect to my dishwasher, but all the status information is incorrect. It shows 8ncorrect duration (300hrs?!!) And wrong finish time, and not the program selected. Total rubbish.

It's very mixed.. The tumble dryer I have is good but the controls on the dryer are complicated. The app simplifies the process. The app is very strange as it doesn't sync properly with the dryer. It keeps on going into read only mode and every cycle I have to switch off the dryer then switch it on again just to get it working again. Also sometimes you press start and then it doesn't unless I switch off the dryer and close the app and start again with it all..

Have now been able to link to the washer, which didn't work originally. Having done that, it's a bit pointless as nothing you can really do with the machine, which I assume is more down to the machine having limited functionality eg can't sent notifications to the app when the wash is complete. The only useful thing appears to be to set an exact start or finish time for the program which is a bit more convenient than the delay on the machine which can only be done in hours.

Works well needs a little improvement, programs are easily made and saved but you can't change the name of your saved program. This is a shame as I would like to make the program then edit the name to match the temp, Spin and Stain levels so they are easily recognisable. Maybe a future improvement would be to make the customised program names editable.

The app does not work and does not deserve one star. I have registered and confirmation my email twice and still the same response. "Cannot connect to the internet". There is no option to exit the app except over ride it to close it down . The instructions provided by customer support bear no reference to the issue. The app surely can't be written and tested by a professional! If so, hotpoint should ask for a refund!!. My six year old grand daughter could do better. Very disappointed!!
