It's okay for minimal purposes. Will notify you if something moves, you get notification, you can see livestream, decent quality. BUT!!! EVEN ON LOWEST SENSIVITY MY PHONE RINGS EVERS FEW SECONDS IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!! I HAVE A MILLION SCREENSHOTS OF THE EXACT SAME PICTURE OF MY HALLWAY WITH NOTHING HAPPENING. PLEASE FIX THE SENSIVITY ISSUE I BEG YOU.
I should rank the Stars down to one star because finding this app for my mini cam which is a small circular device was one of the most difficult web searches I've been a part of. And idea is pretty stupid. The mini camera constantly has to be plugged in
V2.9.3 worked fine until 2.9.6. Now alarm notifications just stopped working. The app also self updates, despite explicitly disabling auto-update in Play Store. Pretty hopeless. Don't buy any camera that uses this app.
I've had this camera and app for a bit over a year. The camera has been very good. In the weather and no problems. The app controls what the camera can do and there lies the weakness. What I do not like is I cannot turn off the time/date overlay.. Also there is a very powerful led flood light that has three settings. None of the settings make much sense except "Turn on white light" which logically just stays on. The other setting is " Automatic Night Vision" which is the flood light stays off and it is infrared only. The Last setting is "Smart White Light " which is random on/off whereas On is far too often. At first I thought it was tied to motion but apparently not. "Smart Light = dumb light. Dumb programmers.
This application seems like it would work, but it does not. I am so displeased with it that there are not enough characters allowed here! You cannot fill in your own network info so that you can connect this hidden camera to a hidden network and that completely defeats the purpose! The thing constantly streams a wifi connection that anyone could connect to and then have access to your home internet! Very poorly designed application.
It actually works for my purpose. It isn't a great technology app device but it is sufficient..
Tried to install the camera. It went well until the app asked for the device ID nr. as on the label on the device, but no label there. No web link in the manual to use. One can contact them via the app. You can explain the problem in a text field of 300 characters. However, it blocks further input with less than half the characters used. One additional remark, why does it need to have the app need access to the location. Typical Chinese Big Brother ? Worthless, both the camera as the app.
Very difficult to set up......after trying 10+ times it surprisingly worked. App is not very intuitive to navigate, takes much playing with to get what you want. Bumped rating from 1 star to 3 after getting it set up and working.
Cam does not work at all. Probably not the apps fault. No picture, wifi won't connect. Can't get past the "enter 11 digit id" screen. Oh well, back to China it goes. Got pissed and threw it against the wall now it works perfect. No kidding. Sounds crazy but its true.
App's registration code feature is ack basswards. How would it know where to send the 6 digit sms if i haven't provided a # to call at that point. Does not allow registration to continue, absent the code that it cannot send. Back to the drawing board joe. And next time, make sure you've thoroughly worked out the bugs before you you call on friends to boost those ratings. Cool start up graphic though, who did the developing team import that from?
Liked it for a while, then realized the date and time stamps of cloud recording didn't match actual video times. I wrote to get help and now I'm getting a token error and can't access any of the recordings. 🤦🏻♂️ Please help/fix!!
This software has lots of features and they work really fine, for example you can define the area in the viewport that will trig the alarm. I didn't give 5 stars just because does not support Google Home.
I can not set up IP address for the camera althought in the menu this option is offerred. I enter the parameters, click NEXT but nothing happens. I would be happy to set up a Port No. as well.
App alerted you on mobile phone when alarm was activated for about 2 weeks then stopped alerting. Update didn't help and configuration remained the same. This renders the camera and app useless.
Keeps crashing but its only a message. Video not always sharp but maybe it's the button camera. Easy to use. Needs free link to personal cloud.
China virus spyware like covid19. The app request tons of permission to send your information to China. If I use Twiiter as the login method, they even require the post/delete tweet permission, that's absurd Edited: Yes, you have to require the permission, but the permission is too pervasive, if you just need Twitter for login verification, then you just need to request the basic information, why do you need the permission for posting and deleting? That's gone too far
can you change post trigger recording time to 3 mniutes? 10 secods now is not long enough
This app is not user friendly unable to get features to work that it claimed to have also camera color is way off it changed my black clothing to a shade of purple or something unable to use two cameras at once unable to connect to spectrum wifi at home
The only thing that BUGS me, is that some times a simp little moth will make the alarm go off. other than that it works perfectly and better than i ever imagined it would for a free app. THANKS HOPEWAY 😎
it works well at day time however terrible at nigh with night infrared if camera is at window facing outside due to light reflection on glass. Any way to turn the night IR mode off?
It takes too long to log into the camera, it rarely works at the first trial and to make things worse I cannot log in using facebook.
When I logged in and went to video it said mobile network already in use. Then later on the video was gone. So someone tapped into my camera. Can hopeway obtain any ip addresses that was on my camera?
terrible i purchased 2 cloud storage by accident and im out the money now and on top of it all its not working and i cant acces it from my phone to see whats going on it just keeps asking me to set it up.. awful
If you close the app the notification will not notify you on your phone so basically you have to keep the app running in the back ground of your phone in order to recieve a motion detection from the camra if your away from home.....
My device is consistently going offline on its own. I'm currently at work during an overnight and my app says network unconnected, what does that even mean?
Have used it with my cctv for almost 1 year nothings wrong but lately it can't login, I login using Facebook all this time but now it just won't let me login with Facebook and say login fail. Any help with it?
Instruction rubbish Camera wont register Customer service wont allow messages for support to submit from the website. Now requesting a return. Good luck if you have one of these..
Love the app but there doesn't seem to be a way to remove alarm event pictures after it takes them.
Nothing wrong with camera the app shuts down completely. And often it won't even pull the picture up
If you can help it, do NOT use. I have no choice with my camera, but the options are extremely limited in this app, so much so that you cannot even set days, just times. That is extremely inconvenient. Besides the fact that the app doesn't allow you to delete specific videos, it's either format all or nothing. So many other issues but I hope you get the point.
