I had always had positive experiences with this app. However, seeing the current situation, I'll have to agree with most comments I've seen here lately! Want an app for finding deals or any updates on flights you are looking for? Cool app. But don't buy with them! I realized so with this whole COVID19 situation. I've been trying to refund my tickets with the airline for over a month, but they say my agency must do it, not me. When I reach out to Hopper, their help service states it's up to my airline to do it. Keeps going back and forth until today, when my flight was cancelled. All the while I have been trying to get in contact with someone, to no avail. They don't have a customer service line or mailbox, apparently. All they have is a robotic chat room that does not work at all. What now?

The service itself is great, I was able to book a deal on a flight, but as many have said before the app is broken. I have been trying for the past several days, on multiple devices and after several uninstalling and reinstalling sessions and several cache cleanings, to book a rental car through the app and each time I try to book one the app goes wonky and redirects me to the main page. Even as a deal is going on for booking rental cars that part of the site still does not work for me.

Edit-There isn't room for an edit! Epic fail! I'd rate it zero if available. I tried using this app once and it failed to communicate with the hotel. I was forced to pay for the room at walk-in rates and lost my deposit for the price freeze. I have attempted to find a customer service option to rectify the situation and only find FAQ options and redirection in circles. This app seems more like a scam than others I've used. I will not use this again.

Yeah you can get some great deals. But it's impossible to get in touch with support staff unless you have an active trip planned, otherwise you're stuck reading useless unhelpful FAQs. Hopper basically stole $40 from me when I tried to have a flexible ticket refunded, and it has been impossible to get in touch with support due to their broken app. My messages to support do not go through despite having excellent wifi/cell service.

My first time using this app and my reservation never got confirmed yet the money had been taken from my account. Theres no way of contacting customer service bc they have yet to set it up concerning hotel bookings. There are no details of the reservation at all in the app. So, i am stuck in my car in the incredibly humid Arkansas heat, hoping for a miracle. They took what little money i had for a place to stay and gave me nothing in return. Zero stars!! What the hell, Hopper? Ugh.

I've had downloaded this app twice already it is just another catch. There's no deal at all and prices there are just the same or more expensive than others or Google. Never found good deals on this app. Tried different places different dates but nothing. Just false advertising hotels here are more expensive than Expedia or booking. Going to remove this app from my phone. I'm done with them just waist of time.

Hopper used to be good but now I can't even use the app. I missed their most recent sale because the screen is just blank (I can only see the user icon, carrot with credit and the chat icon...none of those buttons even work). So I thought I needed an update, but there isn't one. I still get all of the notifications for fare reduction but can't access the information in the app to book. Very frustrating and poor management of the app.

I have downloaded this app on and off over the years and it always fails to do what it promises. I always hope to find a flight that can beat the rates I see on Google but they are virtually the same rates. This app promotes itself as an app that can seek out discounted flights, but it's literally the same flights you see on Google or the airliner's website. Just another gimmick to collect your data and sell it to advertisers. Will be my last time downloading this app.

This app used to be awesome, simple to use and really helped keeping you updated when flights dropped to a low price so you can jump on it. They were doing one thing really well. But now it has turned into a wannabe all-in-one for travel, selling hotels and cars, and a bunch of unnecessary add-ons to your trip, oh I don't want to forget to mention that's what they try to offer as discount on those "offer" days, the "add-ons"... It's basically become not focused on finding cheap flights.

Word to the wise! Read the reviews! I did not and downloaded the app to book a one night stay at a hotel in Seattle. Got to the very end of the process, confirmed the reservation and then almost immediately the screen goes pink and a split second message pops up saying the reservation could not be guaranteed for that price. Yet they still charged me for the room. It has been days and still no refund and no reservation.

I had an issue with my price freeze disappearing, although I couldn't get ahold of customer service because they don't have a phone number to reach them, after a review they reached out to me via email and worked very hard to get my flight back up. Even though they were unable to give me the flight that I had frozen, they refunded me the freeze price of 84.00 that I put down. I think this app has potential, it just needs some tweaks and an actual customer service phone number.

I think the UI is really cool, with a lot of customizable features. But talking with customer service is a little weird - it's through email which is fine but a different customer representative responds each time, which is a little confusing. It's nice that it's easy to book and cancel flights. I don't love the rebooking process - instead of being able to choose a flight yourself, you have to email back and forth with a representative and they only provide one flight option at a time.

I chose a hotel because it was refundable. The day before my trip I found I did need to change my plans. I went on the app to cancel and even though it was clearly stated I could the "button" for cancelling was not available. Of course any attempts to contact anyone was met with failure. Thankfully, the hotel was quite nice about cancelling but the app was worthless.

My original flight was cancelled (covid). Hopper took hours to reply about how to use the credit. I spoke with 4 different people and each one gave me more requirements and things to do, still have not booked a flight. Because the prices were climbing I booked the flight in hopes they would retroactively apply the credit. I was told this was impossible. Two more people joined the conversation, only able to cancel the flights. Left me with paying a ridiculous amount or not going at all. #DDARFL

Definitely use this travel agency to book your next hotel! I had booked a hotel through them. Unfortunately, when I got there the hotel claimed that they could not find my reservation. I got in touch with Hopper and found another hotel. Hopper had not only successfully canceled my stay at the original hotel and refunded it, but they also paid the full difference in price in money- not like a credit on their app which was what I was expecting. It was just such a relief. So yeah, use Hopper!

I had an issue with the hotel seeing a different type of room than what we booked on Hopper. Contacted Hopper's customer service and within the day they had not only fixed the issue, but also upgraded our stay at no cost to us! I will continue to is this app for great deals and great service. I would just call the hotel ahead of time to confirm reservations. If something is wrong, you'll have time to resolve it without ruining your vacation!

This app is great for finding flights, but terrible to actually book through. Customer service is completely email based, so it takes days for problems to get resolved. I'm having a dispute with them where I have credit to use due to a flight I canceled due to Covid. I was told that when I cancel I would have credit to use for the future, as long as I book the next flight within a year and with the same airline. Despite doing this, they are finding any excuse to not allow me to use this credit.

I need an actual phone number with a human to speak to. The app keeps crashing and getting stuck on the loading page with the bunny. My account doesn't show my booking suddenly and I'm trying to change my flight. With no human customer support outside of a crashing app it makes it impossible to do anything. I'm so frustrated and my anxiety is going through the roof. I need to change my flight asap.

App is not working after watching a flight for weeks. We get a notification to purchase now ... and the app won't work! The kicker: the only way to contact customer support is through the app, but guess what else won't load? I've been looking at a loading screen at every turn. Now I'm afraid we're going to end up paying $1400 more to buy our tickets elsewhere because we trusted Hopper. I've successfully used this app to buy flights twice. I'm beyond frustrated right now.

There's no way to access your chat messages once it's closed out by the agent or a reservation has been cancelled. If there's still unresolved issues it's extremely difficult to navigate to the agent chat help. Also, they should verify with the hotels what's due at check in. As of now it's pretty vague or contradictory to what is listed which is the result of the hotel not updating Hopper, apparently. Be active so there's no surprises at check in. This would help immensely. Otherwise it's solid.

This app is stressing me out, I am trying to reserve a rental car but step 2 for insurance is missing from the verification page which is preventing me from swiping to confirm the reservation. I updated the app and still the same issue. I deleted and redownload the app and still the same issue. I call customer service and it says the phone service is not set up. 😒😒😒😒

Hopper did reach out too me to process my request. I do not find it helpful that there is no customer service line available to assure there were no miscommunication. Also the pricings are wrapped in fine print. I would not even bother with using this app unless you plan to read all fine print. As a tip always go for the free cancelation if you do use this app.

A friend recommend this app. She showed me on her phone how you can put in your flight destination and then see rates for months to get an idea of the dates that would be cheapest. Just what I wanted! When I try to do it on my phone it only lets me put in specific dates and doesn't give me an overview so it's basically useless. I can't find any help and the only way to get customer support is if I already have a booking! I'm really disappointed.

I could have given 5 stars are the prices are really low, booking experience is great and watch feature is good. But I have given 3 because of below: 1. Watch feature doesn't remember or specific filters 2. Price freeze feature gives me Uh Oh Something went wrong 3. Multi city bookings are not possible Otherwise, great app. Must use! [Update after 6 months] Still using the app. Getting the lowest prices on Flights and Car Rentals only on this app. Updating to 4 stars.

Buggy mess! Tried several times to book a flight. It would always return an unspecified error when trying to confirm the booking. There is absolutely no way to contact support unless you have an already booked itinerary! Furthermore, the app sneakily throws a ton of optional fees at you throughout the booking process hoping you might inadvertently leave at least one of them activated.

WARNING, DO NOT USE THIS APP.. IT IS SHADY. I was curious to "look into" freezing a flight, there was no finalizing payment process. As soon as I clicked the only freeze flight button so as to see what it would actually freeze.. it charged my credit card $135 forcing me into a flight I did not want. There is no way of getting your money back. Horrible app. There should be a verification process for finalizing any payment unless the client has purposefully agreed to a quick payment method.

Absolute worst! Deleted my acct and the app. Paid extra to be able to change and cancel if necessary, tried to cancel within the first 24 hours and it was a nightmare. App says contact airline to cancel. Airline said contact app for refund, they paid the airline so I couldn't get a refund to my card from the airline. Tried to contact the app, can't contact because booking was canceled. Had to spend more and rebook the same flights or lose my money completely. I'd give zero stars if it let me.

Clunky app that almost works. No support options available no matter what website says. Ooops we charged you something you didn't select. Good luck getting a hold of someone to fix this! App feels like a WebView, not a real app. Horrible! Don't get it do you? There is no way in the app to get support. All it does is open a web browser to the hopper site. I've tried from the profile/picture and from the booking. Neither have any support options except pushing you to the website that has no options. Additionally, I am not able to use twitter. So that option is useless. Unable to contact them. I don't have twitter or facebook. They refuse to respond to email. They STILL haven't resolved my issue.
