HopUp

Decent enough app, have not had any bad seller experiences so far but I feel the app is lacking in some features. It would be nice to filter postings by gear/weapon/accessories/parts, and to either block posts from certain users or filter out posts by certain users. Half the app is filled with power sellers spamming AliExpress products and it gets old. I also had to email customer service to get my credit card information unlinked from my account because the feature has not been developed yet.

Works great so far, just wish they had a PC/Mac version. I'm mostly interested in getting a bunch of gear I don't use anymore out the door, so I'm not adamant about maximizing a profit, here. My biggest gripe is that having to enter everything through a smartphone is absolutely MISERABLE if you have a lot of stuff to sell. Other than that, I'm fine that they want to take a cut of sales. Cost money to run things.

I think it is an amazing app for beginners or people who have been playing airsoft to find new and used weapons. Personally I see nothing wrong with the app except I wish it had more settings of where to find the weapon but in all I think it is a great app and would recommend to any person that plays airsoft. No one should overlook or underestimate it in my opinion

Its an okay app. Met some friendly people, bought and sold things, but they take an even more egregious cut than even eBay. You try and list an item and it gets approved. Do it the next day same thing and suddenly the "admin" team says it isn't allowed even though the same thing was approved the day before in a separate listing.

So far a pretty good app. A little slow at times and there are lots of posts from years ago still listed but if you pay attention you'll find some good deals.

Was great, now it's Terrible. Can't put "paypal" or any other form of payment on posts. Requires a card on file due to payment going through company.

Barely functional app. It works as intended, just archaic controls. Example: when creating a new post with pictures it won't allow you to choose where to pull pictures from, you can't choose/browse your folders. It just continues from there, but you can use the app to sell/buy it just is not intuitive. Overall: It takes a while to do a little.

Decent, but needs work definatly. I even had the paid version and its still a low quality app. Can't send videos, gotta get lucky to send pictures (crucial for sales). And thier customer service leaves much to be asked for. For what it's worth, it's a good place to find used equipment and guns ect. Edit: They have changed it so if you try to do the transaction outside hopup (avoid 10% fee which is insane) you get banned from the app completely. Would NOT reccomend.

This app use to be good. I was a long time user, use to pay the $10 monthly fee for this app. Now? Well 10% fee for selling, punished for canceling transactions, punished for saying "contact me" in your description. Charged for canceling transactions. Keeps comparing themselves to eBay, they are not eBay. This app use to be awesome but it's become a nightmare. Oh you need your money to ship the product? Don't count on it. Your funds are held until the product is delivered and reviewed.

Runs obscenely slow and tends to freeze up often, requiring a hard restart. It also does not always notify you of new private messages. They could clean up a lot of the listings and free up space by just automatically removing ads that are older than 6 months. Should also have an auto-kill feature that prohibits someone from listing any ad that starts with "just testing the waters" :P

Its a good app but something is off when i verify my phone amt put my number it said invalid hey dev can you fix the problem please.

NOT READY FOR BUSINESS!!!!! I tried to purchase the different items. One was cancelled with no explanation. The second, the item was not as described, returned item to seller, it has been a few days and I have no refund from HopUp even after contacting support. The third one, the seller created a shipping label but never shipped, it has been several days and nothing has been done to make things right. I'm out a few hundred dollars from multiple transactions and very poor support from HopUp.

It is nice to have a place specifically to buy trade and sell scary airsoft guns. But the app is a bit rough and could use some work. Needs statuses for item sellers. For sale, pending, sold. It would make it easier to keep track for sellers with large quantities of listings. Also perhaps being able to see the zipcode of the items so people know what shipping might cost. Most items are way over priced and if you do post a deal up expect kids to still try to low ball you.

Dont expect to do well as a seller. They take their sweet time listing your items. Hold your money for days after a sale and want to take a cut of the money OR charge you just to list it. I wouldn't mind them getting a % of the profits if I received my money INSTANTLY!! Instead they hold the money until the buyer receives the item or makes a review. So you have to pay out of pocket to ship the item then wait for the buyer to receive before your get paid. Then gotta wait for a bank transfer.

Good app and large user base now. Image browser when uploading could use a sort/browse by folder option and can be a little buggy. Notifications aren't consistently displayed, so I often miss messages. Otherwise, app has been very useful for selling my extra stuff

Never had an issue with this app, until I got the premium version. Now I cant open the app without a verification screen popping up to enter 4 digit code sent to my email, but it was never sent! Support is useless, cant contact anyone for help, hugely disappointed in something that only cost 3 dollars a month.

Love the concept of this app and use it for my airsoft business, but it is super buggy. Messages dont always show up or load, cant view a post your looking at from the messages always says failed to load post. A lot of the time my posts wont upload. It could be a whole lot better and the development department should have really tried it on a variety of phones before releasing to the public. 5 star concept with 1 star function rating. So it get a 2.5 which rounds up to a 3.

I have scored some insane deals here, for example, I bought a VSR-10 for $180 with free shipping, and it turns out that all of the parts in the gun and the gun itself were worth $748 or so. Highly recommend if you don't mind fixing things sometimes. Beware of sketchy people though, I have yet to be scanned, but it happens

If I can only send videos I take using the app, make it so I don't have to record and send the video multiple times before it will send without error. Pretty sure that's basics. Update 6/21/2020 Still unable to send videos over the pm feature. Lazy programers.

Used to be great, then I left for a few months, and came back to a totally different thing. Now you're unable to buy/sell using paypal and are forced to use HopUp's payment method, which takes 10% of the price of the item and lines their pockets. Asside from that, low quality app that isn't good for people newer to airsoft and is screwing over people who are veterans of the sport. Also, notice that they only respond to good reviews & tech questions. Shame it had to be this way, I'm gone for good

This app used to be good. It used to be a great place where you can sell or trade your airsoft guns and gear to other people like you. Now there are companies putting all their products on there and they're kind of taking over. Also with their new update, I can't sort by location. If I'm buying a used gun, I want to meet up with the seller and inspect the product since it's used. But now it's pretty much shipping only. You can't sort by people in your area.

I've contacted plenty of people, I get messages, but the the problem with this app, is that the notifications of getting a message SUCK. Developers of this app, please, FIX the NOTIFICATIONS. Several things I've been interested in and get sold because the buyers don't see the messages. ADD a PING, put in SOMETHING that lets us know that there are messages like a blue dot. I like the app, dont get me wrong, but apparently if you want something, your eye need to be on the messages 24/7. FIX IT!!

Decent app don't like how you can only post 2 pics. That's pretty stupid. More of a window shopping app. Nobody really wants to buy. *Update* So they say as of 2/2/18 the "bugs are fixed" but now I am unable to post anything. When I try it says "we will review your post" like normal but never gets posted like it used to. I've tried several different ways and I've never not been "approved" on any of my posts. Now all of a sudden I can't post anything. Pretty lame. They lost a star Down to 2 now

The app is good, but they need to work on the messaging system and the functionality of it. It doesn't update quickly and the messaging feature is buggy and doesnt always work the best.

App keeps crashing, I've tried my data and wifi, I can barely see one or two posts before the app crashes. No other apps do this. I'll keep downloaded and hopefully this gets some bug patch.

I like the app have bought a couple sniper rifles on here..was easy,but in the last week or two I have no option to change country or distance at all..why is the option gone??would rate higher but I don't want to have to guess where listings are from.

So blessed for this app. As a new player I have saved a tremendous amount of money getting started! Gloves half off, mag pouches half off, a pistol with 2 free mags, etc. Just watch for scammers like anything else. Ask plenty of questions and only use PayPal and pay as a servive/product, not friend/family Edit: Changed from 5 stars to 4 stars due to the app being very buggy. The service has supported me saving plenty of money on gear, it just feels like the app is still in the development phase.

Quick and easy to use. UI isn't perfect but it does the job. Have to pay to boost posts or add more than two photos but It's okay cuz you can just send them in chat to anyone who's interested

Used to be able to browse items around me. I wouldnt look for anything specific. i could just hit the search button and set it for 40miles and just browse to see if anything caught my eye. Cant do it now. Have to type in the search bar what I may be lookin for. Wasnt like this 2 months ago.

The improvement this app could make is tracking scammer activity. I have been scared 2 times on this app and I'm sure I'm not the only one and I understand that most of it is my fault. If you review items prices before they are listed then you should review the prices in the discription as well.. a thorough review team could make this app a nicer place for newer player like me who want to buy affordable gear. Maybe have a list that the team can review to compare prices, to check for scammers
