I've downloaded and redownloaded this app several times, and all it shows me is an error page when i try to open it. apparently, from reading below, most users have the same issue. Unusable.
I have used this app to book hostels in Turkey for years. I am no techie but a pensioner in my 70s Researching my trip is part of the fun
App opens with beautiful blue screen error message, clicking on the links or hitting the back button results in refreshing the same screen
As mentioned by numerous other reviews, I just see the blue screen, nothing else.

Why do I have to login every time?...
We used to have such a good thing, just a year and a half ago, Hostelbookers app. Now you've changed, and you won't even talk to me. I am sorry that your rebranding has come between us, but this doesn't work anymore: I can't star you if you don't function. We used to search for good and cheap hostels together, remember? Remember those days? I'd type in "Paris", and you'd load me up a bunch of them. Even though St Christopher's was actually full and I gave up and got a metro ticket to catch the subway at half past eleven at night for another hostel in Montmartre. But now all I stare at is a completely white page, trying to input city search terms into the quiet void, and nothing happens. If you want to "rebrand" your stupid app, for crying out loud, don't *break it*.
What happened, I can't even load the main screen of the app. I get a message saying my internet isn't working, yet it is. Please fix.
Spinner just keeps spinning and everything is very slow. Trying to look at my bookings is either very slow or doesn't work
Does not remember login account. Searches constantly and randomly turn up blanks.
Update is complete disaster. Search doesn't work, everything else is very slow. Application unusable so, now uninstalled..
Search is not working . APP seems to be written in web view rather than native adndroid and ITS slow

Literally doesn't work. Preferred to use it over Hostel World often to check availability & prices as filters were better, but now just get blue error screens. Uninstalled.
Why build an app that doesn't even work!
Normally, I do not review apps! Although, couldnt resist horibble app! There are many good apps that actually does the job!
Unable to sign in, takes way too long to load anything

Try to type in destination but nothing comes up on the screen making it impossible to search ! hostelworld is better !

Why can I not post reviews of hostels? I've tried for months and I get the same loading sign and then nothing happened.
I really want to use HostelBookers because they don't screw you on exchange rates like HostelWorld does but this app is so bad that I never do. It basically just loads some horribly optimized mobile website that doesn't seem to cache anything so it has to reload from scratch every time you launch it including this dumb ferris wheel background image that I've gotten used to seeing load line by line on slow mobile connections all over the 3rd world.
The app doesn't find half the cities I type , and when it does many hostels are missing. Won't be using it again
Found hostel fine. Froze and crashed repeatedly when attempting to enter reservation data. Had to make reservation using my pc.
The app doesn't work properly. Reviews are impossible to submit. It asks you to sign in every time you restart the app. Why?? It disconnects constantly even though I'm on the same WiFi signal. Please fix your bugs. I'm happy with their services but i think I'll have to switch to another hostel booking app because of mentioned issues.
