Thanks for the use of this app in Canada. Some additional apps for opening music would be nice. Like Amazon music and youtube music. Also the option to play downloaded offline music. Hound wont stop playing music when i ask it to. It says stopping but doesnt. Choice of maps for navigation would be nice. Like here we go and waze. Once hound opens maps to navigate, hound no longer reacts to my voice. Thanks for this.
well I like it a lot, however it seems to be missing Hound anytime, if you can bring back that feature so I can summon Hound from any screen and include the lock screen I will give it 5 stars. also so far the only feature I've seen it can't do is take a screenshot
Not as famous as "Alexa, Cortana, Siri" and "Google Assistant", but is better than "Alexa" just for not having a startup setup when it's 1st opened.
What good is sending a text hands-free if it can't read replies? I used the competition, but I hate supporting an overwhelming monopoly or duopoly. However, I can't remember the last time this did anything useful. Play music? Pull over and work through some permission settings, then fail anyway.
One of the more promising assistants but shows that it heard exactly what you said, then ignores that and gives you results based on something different. And when asking for hours of a business, which has them listed online, it says it doesn't have them. Also, can't configure search engine. Needs some serious work to be usable.
Its ok and simple enough to use to be user friendly. But its not as customizable as I would like it to be. I cant change the default search engine. I cant change the default map for directions. I cant make my own commands and connect it with other software. It also doesnt hold a conversation well enough. For 2020 Im expecting today's AI assistants to far surpass the ones from ten years ago and to be atleast as customizable as Saiy was. the UI is snappy and easy to use. Keep working on it.
It would be a great app, if it would allow for a dark/black theme and didn't attempt to steal all of your contacts' info. Would be one star, for the invasiveness, but the app isn't (completely) bad. I would recommend looking elsewhere until these features are incorporated/remedied, though.
I wish there was a way to make hound respond to any other name you might give it. Just go onto settings title the new name whatever you want and then you need to record yourself saying the name you would like to call it to make it respond. Being able to change the theme color would also be nice, like to change the blue in the app icon to black or green or red or any other color. My phone has a black and white theme that I am using all of the apps from simple mobile tools and total launcher to complete it. Giving the ability to change the theme color and the icon color would be much appreciated. An otherwise very good app.
I love that it has lyrics to the songs! I would totally give this a 5 star rating, but for some reason, every time I try to get into one of my Spotify playlists on it, the app quits working and all my playlists disappear.
It seems food so far. I would like to see it attempt to get to know the user better and memorize more things like maybe having the ability to tell it family members names and being able to make connections in contacts... but the main reason I'm probably not going to use it is the for awful voice. It has potential but I don't see it being anymore fun or useful than Google.
Excellent alternative to Google and Amazon assistants. Does the basics well. Sending texts/emails/weather. Searching for specific businesses and odd names is a little wonky. Not perfect but definitely the best I've found so far.
It only understands what I'm saying when I ask for the weather. Otherwise, it doesn't interpret words accurately at all. For example, "Open Zoom" was understood as "open soud." Also, it is not easy to find what they do with your data.
After searching, and searching for a half decent voice assistant-- Hound wasn't it. Hound is amazing. It's extremely smart, questions can get very detailed, and it replies with a great a answer. Love that it works so well with SoundHound, although I will say, I wish it didn't have SoundHound built in, I kinda just wish it would give a more dumbed down version for the built in aspect.
I had this app when you had to be invited to install. when this app was first introduced years ago, it seemed so advanced; but now it's not as good as Google assistant. The only 1-up is that you can ask hound multiple questions at once, but it doesn't work as well as it used to and its limited in what you can ask. it's just an app that clashes with my Google assistant now.
HOUND can set reminders, events, and answer a bunch of questions. My favorite has got to be the music playback option. If HOUND could have a notepad that'll be perfect. Overall a good app
Uninstalled because it only works when you open the app. Does not have the capacity to respond to voice commands when screen is locked. That ia the only feature i liked about assistant but it was tooo inconsistant!
You really going to lie to us and say that it is a built in feature? You literally have to go inside the settings and turn it on for yourself. Great job for lying. Edit: AND it is a beta feature while most apps don't say it as a beta feature!
it's awesome and all, understanding terms like d4, and d100, but why the hellcan it not recognize alpha bravo charlie delta echo foxtrot golf hotel india or juliet as the alphabet when playing battleship? I said D2 and got E2 and decided to try "delta 2" and it couldn't understand... even though I used the words for the exact reason they were made... FOR CLARIFICATION!
Its great! I would 100% recommend it. My Google Assistant doesn't work and annoys me and I can't use it properly. So, I use Hound. It really helps me and again, I would 100% recommend it for anyone, I hope this helps !
This is great for people who can't see well and for voice recognition. If someone wants to know it's really you you can let them hear your voice it's really great and a lot easier than texting.
Please get rid of the hound logo at the top of my task bar when I have "ok hound anytime" enabled! It's an eye soar Also, allow us to make to do lists and make notes! Other then that, awesome
It's greatly improved over the past few years, much more reliable. My one complaint is the voice, it's very irritating, and I wish they would give more options for changing the voice.
On my note 9, hound reduced the volume on the entire phone by 90%. Not adjustable. Had to uninstall to restore sound.
it's reminders are annoying and I can't turn them off. the voice is super plain and it's not very useful. some people may like it, but I'm not a fan.
I like it a lot. I wish I could connect it to my bluetooth headsets without the atrocious audio decay though
Had to uninstall. It kept popping up asking me if I was driving even though the push notifications were turned off. If I want to use it, I'll turn it on. I don't need it popping up all the time. Imagine if every app thought that it knew better than me of when it should be turned on. I hate when programmers think that their app is so important that they continuously bug you to use it. Three stars as it seems useful. Just let me use it when I want to instead of forcing on me.
