Way too many glitches, not enough mobile/on the go options. Would be better if the program functioned the same on mobile devices as it does on a laptop. For plumbing service, our technicians are on the go. They can't carry a laptop around with them. I would give 5 stars if the program was more accessible on mobile devices and if the glitches were fixed. As the owner and dispatch, I dislike the dispatch options. I need to assign jobs to my technicians without assigning a time of arrival, etc.
Was working great until the last update. I click on one thing and the entire app closes out. I use this for work and I can't view the information needed because it keeps closing out. It was working great until about a week ago ☹️
They constantly change the platform and it's never for the good. Connection issues are the worse when you are in the field especially in front of a customer and the app doesn't load. The final straw was when they were trying to sell me additional features and I declined. Their salesman repeatedly called me several times, back to back to back including sending unprofessional emails and that was it. I complained to them and said I was canceling due to their salesman and they didn't care. Adios!
This is a great app. My complaints are minor and are probably something they've already heard, but I'll share them anyway: when using my housecall app from a mobile device, I dont have an option for the month calendar; only as large as '3-day' I assume because that's what fits in the screen, but that doesn't need to be that way..it should be easy to get the months view And be able to zoom. Also, could use a newer template for the work order, as the template only lets you use so many lines🤔
It works for us but buyer beware!! We have built our infrastructure over a few years (billing, estimates, customer history, etc..) using this platform...and today they emailed us and raised our price from $69/MO to $169/MO. Hey, housecall... You guys have built a useful product, and I understand inflation, but taking advantage of your customers dependency on your platform will only make us look elsewhere. I don't recommend new customers to get involved because housecall is becoming unethical
Housecall keeps crashing over and over and the team won't help. They refuse to call and want you to sit and agree with a blue bubble just for them to tell you the same thing over and over. Update, clear cookies, uninstall, reinstall and make sure I have the latest web browser. NOTHING WORKS AND THEY WONT HELP.
This app is VERY impressive!! It covers EVERY AREA one needs for their business!! ! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend it to anyone starting a business !!! This app is great for the customers , employees & employer as well !!! It is a business's go to app if you want everything needed in on place to run your business efficiently & smoothly!!! YOU MUST CHECK IT OUT !!!!
Whenever I try to make a change on a checklist it moves all the values around. And I have to go through and change one field at a time back out of the checklist let it save then go back in to add the next field otherwise it will mix all the fields up. I have to use this everyday for work it has added upwards of 20 min to some calls trying to fix a checklist please fix as soon as possible. Otherwise its a great app.
Recently, whenever I need to use a checklist, the information I type in either doesn't save or shuffles around to a different part of the checklist. It's become so frustrating that I have to manually type up a checklist in my phone's note app and then copy and paste it into the ticket notes section. Hoping this can be fixed soon. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3
Great app. Has a few issues. Currently its asking me to setup my bank account after I send an invoice. My bank account has been set up for months
Was working well my only problem was that it did not refresh jobs when someone made a change unless you restart the app. Now the problem is there's some stupid beta version that gives you added pop-ups when you're trying to navigate to a job and there is no way to revert to the non-beta version.
The app was working great till it wasn't. Customer service is a nightmare to work with. So many unannounced changes. Useful services have been removed and are either no longer available, or available for an upcharge fee. Not a very ethical company to do business with. This app was very useful in the beginning to grow my company, now I'm not so sure anymore.
Ugly and messy UI. Really hard to understand schedule, no calendar or some kind of organization. Worst work app I've seen ever.
Outstanding app for scheduling and keeping customers informed. Beats paying $5k plus for a custom pos system. Not perfect but well worth the savings!
I would love to give 5 stars but unfortunately I can't, this is why I have had to deal with jobs/appointments get erased by the office I work for..I recommend a history report of sorts so one can see if something was erased..
What a Must have for any new service Business. This app is a business saver! It helps with everything related to running the business. Worth every bit of the expense. Customers are always commenting about loving the interface with their services. The service is always being upgraded and improved. We love this app.
You never know what your going to get with this app when it updates. My newest surprise is that I can't click on the pay button to receive payment types from my customers so yay
Why does this latest update removed the option to directly text clients. At present I must clumsily initiate a phone call, then cancel to text the client. In our newish world of teleworking, texting is critical tool for both client & contractor & saying such feels ridiculous. This is a silly omission without any ROI other than what I presume to one of many such remarks.
Checklist...same as joel mentioned. It just doesnt enter properly and moves them around from where they entered. May be time to find another app if you dont address this.
The only thing this app needs is user settings for the contractor side. Custom notifications. Update: I'm now using HCP as a technician and as a business owner. I love all the features that this app offers. It's making everything easy for me and my clients.
Using them for 2 years now. Huge company making $$$$$ but can't make app or website working normally. I have been asking few times to fix some minor ( for them but major for me) issues, and i has been more that 1 year now and still not fixed. Prices they charge are cosmics. And BTW - theirs website says review is 4.6 out of 5 - but i see here on playmarket is 3.6 . What a scam. Shame on you!
New update has ups and downs. The performance is phenomally better, no more having to reload the calendar every time I exit an appointment and the UI is way better. But the organization of the calendar is horrendous, when I'm looking at all the appointments for the whole company it is a mess! Everything is squeezed together and I can hardly read anything. Wish I could give a better rating but there are more cons than pros at this point
I have been using HouseCall Pro for about a year now. It's pretty damn good. It solves alot of problems in my HVAC co. I dont have the capacity to even use the software to its full potential. With that said some of the features are not very robust. For example the email and print marketing is crude at best. The service agreements add on lacks some functionality and polish. Sometimes asking a question to the blue chat bubble you feel like they're on surfer time. otherwise B+
Don't receive notifications from the app. And now invoice sending options are automatically set to text message instead of email. There still exists no settings to try and adjust from inside the app. And customer service is unreliable at best. If I wasn't forced to use this app by my company I wouldn't at this point. Used to be good, but I've seen dumpster fires more useful.
This app is beyond broken. With full bars, it says I have no internet connection constantly. Not only that, but to get to the job that you're on, and to be able to edit it, you have to go through like 4+ pages, and it constantly fails through every step. Or every item you add on. We add on 3+ things per job, and it takes me 10+ minutes to do something that should easily take 1-2 minutes. Invest in a different app, I could go on and on and on about complaints with this app.
Does the job well. Needs to store the current call data on the phone. If you are in a poor reception area, you are waiting on the app. Also no options for what notifications my phone will get. My phone notifys me too often. I don't need a reminder for a call in an hour.
