It works but there are 2 major issues in the process. The categories in the app do not match the official 311 categories on the city or houston website. (the official categories are more specific detailed). As a result almost all reports I have made have been closed immediately by the city with the comment that a follow up ticket to the correct department has been created. Unfortunately that follow up ticket won't show up in the app and so you have no clue when/if things get addressed.
The app works in that I'm able to create a ticket, however the city of Houston closes the ticket and marks it as 'complete' even when no action is taken. Each time I reopen the ticket, they close it again within 2 hours.....esch time marking it complete. I've emailed and left comments with no response. The city takes our tax dollars (some of the highest property taxes in the country) and then cheats us out of services... it's as bad as Houston roads
The app has been disconnected as part of the city's "upgrade" to its 311 system, yet no new app has been made available and this one is still available on the store. Typical City of Houston incompetence. Terrible.
A little buggy and hard to navigate, but it works. The most common use for me is to report that my trash was not picked up, and there is no category for reporting that.
you can't enter the street number on the address section for reporting potholes. Such a small amount of information required but it still won't work
You need to fix it to where you can actually make requests on the app.The app and the site don't match at all.
great easier than having to be on the phone waiting to bw helped
User friendly and informative! Love it
great for getting work done around the city that needs to be done
The most responsive department in to the City of Houston.
great app. love the reporting feature.
easy access and great ui
The app work perfect for me and my issues.
Much easier than calling.
It's A great app, very helpful and informative
Useful app that might be even better with more options.
Very convenient and gets things done!
Easy to use Easy to use
Water bill one app i like that,Cool,,,
great for reporting issues
easy to use
limited list of issues
Great app, was much needed
Kinda worthless. The new version just goes to their website, and it has so much trouble with addresses that it's easier to email or call in an issue than use the app. Our address is extremely easy, and there's only one cross street, but the site can't figure it out. Not like the city really wants to pick up our recycling anyway...
Okay, there are a lot of great things in this app. It's easy to report issues and see what's happening in your neighborhood, but it feels so much like government programming. Everything is A, B, C leaving nothing to intuition (and wasting space), and ridiculous "features." Why would you recenter the map every time you manually zoom? Why would you use a login through Chrome instead of embedding the authentication? Why can't you combine more than one filter (dumping OR land misuse). All in all, the app is a 5* for government, 3.5* for an app. It makes some entry level errors, but you can do what you need to.
Even if I try to report an issue anonymously, app forces opening a browser to login
Ditto to the comment below. Launcher links in the app are broken, including the main 311 functionality.
This new version is even easier to use.
No longer works! Every time I try to submit an issue on the app now it gives me the message "no services available in the area" and then only an option to post to my neighbors. The app used to be able to let you choose what service you wanted to report to 311. This is SUCH a waste of time now....the only way to get this submitted is by CALLING.
