I use this more than any other app. But one star withheld because, having recently had to revert to factory settings and reinstall all apps, I have just lost two hours work when the battery cut out. Because the auto-save for named files is not activated by default. I really cannot imagine anyone who would not want autosave activated. It should be the default setting on installation.
Very nice and useful! However, please allow us to customize the icons (logo, toolbar, settings icon, resize icon, everything) & make it smaller. It takes up too much space for me. Or perhaps you can add a minimalist theme where all the icons are smaller & simple. Also, add a feature where we can just drag a note and a trashcan appears to close the app. Thank you!
Liked this app and was going to start bragging on and sharing it... Then it started refusing to save. I've cleared cache, data, uninstalled/reinstalled, cleaned my phone and deleted the text files in case of corruption, and restarted my phone. It won't even save new text documents to new folders on SD or Device. I've switched to Floating Note. The icon has three sticky notes of orange yellow and blue with a white paperclip silhouette.
I love it. It's useful when I'm using other apps and I need things to jot down fast. The fact that there is auto save feature for easy jot down notes and then close the note app is the best. Also because sometimes I accidentally click close button instead of minimize button (≧▽≦). And this app is free with no ads. (◠‿・)—☆
Hovernote has been a very wonderful app to me. It's always among my top ten installed apps anytime I get a new device. From the days of Kitkat to Nougat, its been serving me. However, I just got a Pie device and Hovernote has refused to open after installation. Please, check the compatibility of your app with Android Pie. Regards. Edit: July 2021 I'm on Android 10 and my Hovernote is working great. I just needed to set some permissions.
Nice and very useful app. There is one issue, the Edit toolbar should be visible while selecting text, but it is just toggling, that is, one time text is selected, the toolbar is appears, but the next time while selecting text, it disappears. Other things are absolutely OK.
A Nᴇᴄᴇssᴀʀʏ Cᴀᴛᴀʟʏsᴛ (!) to good and efficient note-taking in the office. The practice of note-taking, writing down tasks, and even annotating can make or break a career. I use it to have a clearer perspective of the task, or activity on screen. With all due respect, the POTUS, who uses an "old, unsecured Android phone" should be using this app.
Very good for editing text as the font size can be set to large. Text selection, copy and paste is also easy. Good option for creating short text for apps in which text editing is tricky. Would be nice if edit toolbar can be set to always visible.
A great app. None other available with same function & usability. Please, just update it for all the people who love it but still cannot give you 5 stars. Just ask for permission to draw over other apps, because this permission is required to be put on there to make it work on mi phones for example.
I will give 5 soon...this is a very good apps, only I have some requests: 1) to be able to select multiple notes at one time 2) able to re-arrange the notes 3) notes keep hovering on the screen and not auto close like the current one...Developer, please consider these, else this apps so great! many thanks!
It's great! Period. I find there are times when I want to create a short note, while browsing the web, without losing where I am in my browser -- hovernote is *perfect* for that.
Exactly what i was looking for! Ad free & suits my taste! minimal design & themable.. - feature request, if you may.. it would be awesome if the notes can be sorted into categories.. please keep up the great work & kudos for making this free 😉
Nice concept but hated the saving option. Everytime I need manually save a txt file. Just give us the option to save the notes in the app! I don't care about creating a txt file to save a quick jot down!!
Amazing experience Simple & effective note taking. Best part is auto save & ability to export.
crucial when you want to copy a phone number from facebook or other apps that dont allow you to press copy and paste.thats where it comes in handy.please link it with the phone app so we just call any number from it.
Hovernote is fantastic. It is simple and elegant. Yet it still has great features making it a highly functional notepad. I am very impressed.
I used to love this until I changed to dark theme and my work changed their app so that if I copy and paste it then looks blank because the text is white on your app. Can it just have normal text like before because it won't change back.
Sooo useful. Onscreen hovering overan open app. Copy-paste and select are a bit wierd though.
I LOVE this app. I use it often. It is so useful for composing messages while looking at what you are replying to. It's quick, simple, and has all the features you want. I would pay for this app if it cost money.
Working on my previous phone with kitkat (galaxy note 3). Change my phone to xiaomi pocophone with android 8.1. I press icon hover note. But nothing happen. I love this app. Please make it working again. Thanks dev
Amazing floating note app.. able to keep it in a minimised icon view or dismiss the note. Consistent note history maintenance.
You really need an external keyboard to take full advantage of this, but it's without doubt the cleverest and best notepad for Android . . . Bravo sir!
This is the best floating note i have ever known so far. It is now working perfectly on my Android 11 devices to serve my daily work. Thanks a lot to the developer for sharing such great app.
Used to work perfectly but now not so much. The notepad keeps disappearing which is exactly what I need it to not do. Needs an update.
This app does what it's supposed to, but doesn't save to SD on later versions of android. Desperately needs update.
Used to use Floating Notes (Lite), but after it conflicts with my Note 9 I found this app. This is so much feature rich. Great app!
I love that it has no ads but the UI isn't very user friendly n I don't think it's actually usable for me the way it is now😭
PLEASE UPDATE! I love this app and have used it constantly for years but it's not working at all on my newest devices (Galaxy Tab S7, Poco X3). It was a fantastic app. I've used loads of alternatives but its always hovernote that I reverted to most - I've found nothing else that has just the functionality and UI that I find as useful and easy as hovernote, try as I might to get used to anything else
