Course content is great, highly recommended. Sadly the app itself is a bit ... frustrating. The video player has issues that really shouldn't be there. Videos when played in full screen can't be controlled (minimised, paused, skipped etc), they don't force the device display to stay on, so the screen goes off half way through a video, and worst of all, when the video is finished you can't get to any other part of the app without closing and restarting. Please fix...
Just use the website. Like all the other reviews say, this app is not functional at the moment. I got logged in but the buttons are hard to press, they aren't responsive you have to tap them like 30 times. You can get videos to start playing, but then you aren't able to pause, play, rewind, cast to the tv or anything. Everything is very clunky and unresponsive. The app is just completely unusable which is too bad. I really enjoy the course, the content is great, but this app needs work.
4/4 Stars for the content. 0/1 Star for the app itself. While it provides everything in a clean and organized method, there are bugs still. When I click to expand the video to full-screen landscape mode, I lose the option to pause, resume, and skip forward/backward. When I navigated to login, I had a difficult time selecting the email field to input my email. It took a few tries but I finally was able to by lightly-but-rapidly tapping toward the left side. Otherwise this content is AMAZING!
Excellent content. When using it on a pc it works like a charm and is definitely worth the 20 bucks. The app however..... horrible. Pretty much useless. Don't even try playing the app in full screen mode it will be uncontrollable and eventually crash. I do expect them to fix this is the near future it's very dissapointing. Especially considering I watch these on my phone.
Great content, broken app. I love the way he explains everything, well worth the money! The downside, the app is very instable.. Enlarge the screen and that's it, don't press any other buttons because everything will freeze. The video will still play but you won't be able to play or go back to the menu. Would be nice if they can stabilise it.
The content is awsome and well done. The app itself is not the best. I have similar problems like other useres: while in landscape mode, the player can't be controlled and the app will crash if you try to push the back button, the screen will lock while you watch the video. I watch the episodes in the browser.
IN ORDER TO LOGIN, YOU NEED TO REPEATEDLY TAP ON THE USERNAME FIELD AS FAST AND ACCURATELY AS YOU CAN. KEEP YOUR TAPPING AS STEADY AS YOU CAN. That aside, the content is excellent. Very well worth the money... BUT... the app itself does have a few more flaws: 1 - Press your phone's back button causes you to exit the app. 2 - Fullscreen doesn't function properly. Once activated you will no longer be able to control the app/video (no video controls, unable to leave fullscreen)
Horrible app. Love the videos and even bought the full thing but this app is absolutely unusable. At least the android version is. Phone doesn't even recognize that a video is being played so it will time out and go dark after a minute which that can be overlooked and adjusted in the phone settings but then there's the fact that you can't go full screen. When you try to the menu buttons for the phone are still on the side and then you can't pause the video or anything without restarting the app
The whole project of explaining how a car works is new and understandable. I am active English learner and I really want to understand the basics of a car's working principles, so for me it's really useful, kinda 2 birds, 1 stone. I'd say the app is brand new, but at the same time kinda raw, so I just point out one really awful bug that really disappoints me. I'm talking about the malfunction of the 'Log in' button. I already have an account but somehow I cannot enter my email. Fix please!
I hear alot of people complaining about the app, specifically bugs and hang ups, shortcomings in its function. Sure it may nkt work as smoothly as what were used to, like youtube, but at the end of the day, nowhere else will you find complete and concise information about cars from top to bottom this well put together anywhere ever. And i think that time saving factor of many many hours is far worth the few glitches, hangups, and design flaws of the app. In short, the information is all there
The content is very good, but the video playing experience in the app is frustrating. Back button doesn't work, no control panel comes up when tapping the video. When click back button app exits. Please do fix. I purchased to support the videos, so expecting a nice android experience :) Keep up the good work
5 stars for the content, very detailed, clear videos, I'm enjoying every minute of them and I really look forward for more. But 3 stars for the video player and app. I liked the youtube videos because I could cast them to my tv and watch from the couch. Right now this app does not provide a way for me to do that. So I have to watch them on the computer or phone.
Like everyone else is saying, please fix this app! I'm so excited for the progression of this video course! I paid the $20 but it immediately stopped working and gives me that "video unavailable" error. I'm too excited to learn to quit now so please fix the bugs and I'll re-review this app!
Content is good, video player needs to be updated, it pauses at the same point on a video over and over again and you cannot select a certain time in the video to watch it might as well be a random time selector. After paying €20 subscription it would want to be better than what it is.
Impossible to use...moved to PC waching. The content is great, but watching videos is like this app was released few minutes ago (nothing...like really nothing works at all). When I press watch video controls dissapear for ever or everything freezes after 3-9secends of watching. Hope this will change over time cause the course is amazing. I'm using android (Xiaomi Max 2).
The content is really so great and detailed. But I am dissapointed with app. My internet connection isn't able to play those needle sharp high quality videos. I wish there was an option to adjust the quality. The price is really reasonable but right now its useless for me.
It pains me to give 3 stars as the content is exceptional but the app is a pain, I still haven't been able to log in! And my laptop is gone, I can watch it on my browser but I'd love if the app worked for me. Honestly though if you're interested in engines this is the best thing for you, the lad is a natural at getting info across, worth every penny of the ridiculously cheap price he's charging!
Fantastically presented information, clear, concise and easy to follow. Dropped a star because the app is buggy - hangs, video timer doesn't track correctly, will crash if you switch apps and switch back again. Better off watching via the website.
Dont buy the course through the app, use the website instead. I downloaded the app and was very impressed with the content so purchased the course. Unfortunately it turns out that I don't get a pdf that is included with the website purchased course. 😕 may not be a big deal to some but a pdf is easier to read on my phone than the articles via the app. 1 star rating is for the app only and not the course content (which is fantastic)
Guys, fantastic guide/course. Cannot be faulted. Well worth it's price. However do that a second look at the as it needs work. Having constant playback issues. Video keeps playing when minimized, vide freezes, doesn't let you to delete locally downloaded videos etc
Was excited to use this but the video malfunctions on samsung s9. Camt get back to main screen to select next video. Everytime you open app, it autoplays and 2 or more videos play a once. I fooled with it for five minutes because I really wanted to use this app. It looks nice like they invested to have it created. Should fix it. Would love to use it since I paid for the course.
This was a one-star review until I figured out how to log in. If you have Android, click as fast as you can on the username and password parts until it finally lets you type. Unfortunately, these fantastic videos are on a god-awful format. But this app totally has a chance to redeem itself to five-star status as soon as they figure out their bugs because the content is amazing.
I have been very excited and curious about your video course in how a car works. And i bought the whole course by payment. Now i am using the dedicated app in playstore. And it is annoying the videos are not playing. I tried it for a whole one day. I logged out for the time being and again tried to login. Now it says some server error 500. I have been too keen and enthusiastic about your videos and i got a worst experience. The amount that i paid is in vain. I hope you do something relevent.
App need to be update. There are lot of bugs like everybody commenting. While watching video on fullscreen i cannot control video like pause,forward and backward, no subtitles. And a problem with offline videos
One thin missing that is casting the video through the chrome cast. I love the way this guy explains and everything is 100/100 just the app needs improvements.
I use to use this daily great content however when I got a new phone and had to reinstall the app, I cannot log into the app at all. I contacted the owner and was advised to use the website instead. I don't like the website and prefer the app. When I go to enter in my email address to log into the app it does not bring a keyboard up to type anything. Can this be resolved so I can go back to getting use to what I have paid for otherwise I will be asking for a refund in time. Thank you
I cannot log into my account. It would be nice to be able to login and stream this on my TV. Love the material, but not the app. Have been waiting for an update to fix it, but nothing yet. Will change review when this happens.
In app videos do not hide the navigation bar or show pause play controls which are very frustrating. Content is simply brilliant. Please fix the in app video player.
Very very buggy. The content is not the issue, it's the broken app, which doesn't function. I don't think they tested their own app. It sucks cause I wanna watch the content on my phone, but I can't.
I pre-ordered the course and i love the content! I rate it 4 stars for the UI and the content itself,as i can't really use the app because of a problem i encounter when logging into my account on the app,i can't type my email adress in.So i have to watch the videos in a browser. Keep up the good work! EDIT:I did manage to log in thanks to a review in which it said to tap repeatedly the left side of the buttons (it seems you have to hit a very specific spot) Still needs to be fixed tho.
