How Are You Feeling?

Everybody feels, but everybody also forgets. Whether it's chronic illness or pain, depression or just normal moods, keeping track of how you feel can give you insight into when and why you feel the way you do. And besides, it feels good to tell someone how you feel, even if that someone is your phone.
How Are You Feeling? asks how you're feeling and logs your responses (for example, from "terrible" to "great") so you can refer back later or export the data to a file. When you enter your current feeling, you can also add a note to explain what or why, and you can hide the notes to prevent nosey interlopers from reading them over your shoulder.

If you haven't entered a feeling for a long time (the time is configurable), How Are You Feeling? can notify you to update it. You can also install it as a widget on your home screen, which makes it easy to make entries without opening the app.

Just started using and seems good. Only thing I found is that I have 2 profiles, one for my back pain and one for my moods, but they show all linked up together on the graph, I'd like to see the graphs together so I can see correlations, but not all even together in the same line as it is confusing. I'd also like to have two widgets ...one for each so I can access the one I want quicker and easier. At the moment, I have to to into settings to pick the profile I want. 5 star if changes made.

This seems very helpful, and almost perfect in its minimalistic and elegant design. The custom button sets feature leaves a few critical elements to be desired, though. Most importantly, if you use several different button sets simultaneously, all the entries will be connected in the same graph, even if they belong to completely different sets. This severely limits the usefulness of the otherwise very promising custom button sets feature. At least break up values from different sets into completely different graphs. Secondly, and as has already been pointed out, the app lacks the ability to add multiple widgets to the home screen, for different button sets. This feature would improve ease of use by a great deal. Being able to add notes directly from the widget would also be very useful.

Ive been using this for 2 years and then my phone broke. I didn't know how to extract the database so I emailed the developer directly. The *next day* I received a thorough email explaining what to do. Extremely professional. Props dude

This is simple and requires no account sign up or any BS. It allows you to record your mood at multiple stages through the day and has personally helped me identify triggers and assess my feelings. It's very very useful.

You can't display Morse than one type of feeling example; pain, emotions, energy levels etc. Don't upgrade if you were hoping to see more than one type of scale.

PLEASE UPDATE THIS TO GET RID OF THE MEMORY LEAK BUG WHICH SLOWS DOWN THE KEYBOARD INPUT AND FREEZES THE APP ON LARGE TEXT INPUT! Otherwise it's really good.

I would dearly like to be able to see percentages of the time I spend in a certain mood, maybe even the total of minutes, per day, week, month, year, overall. This way I can see which were my best times and which were my worst.. Knowing that would give me the ability to see connections between events, seasons, people and the moods they put me in. This could possibly help me improve my general mood by getting rid of the things that make me unhappy. Also, I would like to mark sleep so that won't be counted.

It's a great, simple, minimalist app that does what it's supposed to. My only problem with it is that recently, every so often it just stops notifying me, until I realize it hasn't popped up for hours/days & open the app to check. After that, though, it's fine again for a while.

Exactly what I was looking for in a mood journal without any complicated quizzes of difficult to define emotions. A simple scale that can be changed to your liking with colors that make the previous moods easy to navigate and see potential links.

As a s/w developer and a world-class complainer, I could find lots of nits to pick, but overall it does what I want. Most importantly, it's not bloated with a bunch of features I don't need.

I've been using this app for a little more than four months and honestly this is the farthest I've ever gotten with any diary-like habit.

I enjoy the app a lot. Straightforward, easy to use, and the widget doesn't take up a lot of room. I just wish there was more room for emotions that don't fall into a good/bad spectrum, like frustration or mixed feelings. I understand why it doesn't have that, but often I feel like my emotions are more complex than "bad/okay/good."

OK so I saw something about being able to create Your Own button sets in the settings couldn't find the settings at all, the last thing you need when you're depressed is a challenge. Deleted

I really like the widget, but I wish there were more options. like changing color scheme, reminders, a way to backup the data, a way to see which days you wrote notes on, maybe some statistics. otherwise very nice but very limited

Would be better if you were able to use multiple button sets at one time - eh a mood scale and pain scale simultaneously

This little app is simple and easy to use and showed me exactly what was going on with me, day to day, over weeks and even over months. Thanks!

It was easy to set up and start using it. The widget is efficient and clear. Very well designed, and works smoothly. Settings were clear, and the upgrade to customize an added value .. Requested feature: another widget and clear separation of multiple sets. Deserves 5 stars without it!

I love the simplicity of it, as well as the widget. The widget is what made me want to keep using it.
