New facial analysis tool How Old Do I Look has sent self-esteem levels spiralling down across the world.
In a machine learning experiment that's taken social vanity to new heights, Microsoft has created a website that tells you how old you look just by analyzing your photo or picture.
Sometimes it's dead on. Other times it's hilariously, outrageously wrong.
It's simple: Upload a selfie, wait a few seconds -
- then the machine gives you a number.
And since it can analyze anyone's photo (pictures) , you can compare yourself to your friends, family, and foes.
But guessing someone's age is a dangerous game, even for a robot.
Predictably, is an algorithm-based project that invited users to upload photos of themselves so the site could guess their age. How Old Do I Look? Camera Age went viral quickly, and thousands posted their results on Twitter, some feeling confident and others questioning what exactly made them appear older. Many even uploaded photos of celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner ecc..
The app is simple – you upload a picture and it predicts your age.

I took a picture of a 10 year old me, it said I look like a 2 year old. I'm not a frikin toddler. I'm now 15, it said I look like a 9 year old. That app should've been 0 stars. Get rid of that app

This app is horrible. Despite clear photo after clear photo of my entire face, it continued to appear as, "no faces detected." A waste of time. Don't download it.
