How To Play

Can't remember the rules? Don't know what game to play with 5 people? United States Playing Card Co. is proud to present How to Play
- USPC.
It's exactly what it sounds like: the complete rules to over 75 card games, new and old, step-by-step. Search our database for a game you know to eloquently explain the rules to others, or find a new game someone else suggests. Have an extra player? Search for games by the number of people who want to play. Have a variety of kids and adults eager to play together? You can search games that work for both age groups.

The possibilities are endless. Pull it up at your next poker night when a newbie isn't sure how to play Hold'Em. Find a game for eight when you pull out a deck of cards at a party. Clarify grandpa's rickety rules on gin rummy. Teach your parents to play Presidents. Finally get into the nuances of Bridge and start your own Bridge Group.

You ready to learn How to Play?

Features:
• Detailed rulesets of over 75 playing card games, conveniently at your fingertips.
• Quickly find games to accommodate your player group: search across size, type, and/or a custom search function.
• Fun, authentic shuffling sounds make page transitions a joy.
• Visual “trump key” accompany game explanations of the “poker” variety. A great reference for new or rusty players.

The app has good potential but falls short. It looks great, but the rules describing some games simply end abruptly in mid-sentence. It looks like they extend beyond the bottom of the "box" where they are displayed, but there is no option to scroll, or to expand the "box."

Great app and saves me from carrying my book! I have a few vintage editions of your guys' card game book (50s and 60s) and I like to try to keep them clean even with much use! This app saves me from taking them with me to my pals homes for a day of cards. Absolutely love this app! Although for some reason tonight I just had to uninstall/reinstall as it somehow wouldn't load anything. Only suggestion I could make or feature I am unaware of would be the ability to bookmark certain games offline.

Only instructions for those who already know how to play the games?!... favourites data can not be saved for offline, seems every system cleaner optimiser app just kills this data very soon , back to re-up data again!?? Oh yeah without any visual help on layouts etc these instructions are too hard to follow so I can't learn most of what's here.

There are a lot of different new games to find and there are detailed instructions...BUT, it's hard to learn a new card game off of written instructions. It'd be cool if there were short video clips showing layouts and sample plays.

Good quick reference for the most essential games and variants, but the given rules aren't always as precise as the should be.For example, the canasta rules don't mention that you need 2 full decks along with the 2 jokers in each deck, which may confuse some novices that rely solely on this app. Please review and fix the accuracy of the given rules. Thanks in advance!🤔

This app is pretty useful for up incoming card players. When I first looked at this, I instantly wanted to install it. It's not a game, it's an app. But at the same time, it's an app that helps and teaches you how to play different card games. This is very useful for me, it will give me instructions on how to play different card games. And you dont need specific cards, all you use is a 52 card deck of playing cards, and any kind of them. I reccomend bicycle cards. This is a great app.

• Please add a favorite button on the game details page. • A little more explained manual for some games would be more helpful. • A game finding filter will be helpful. (By age, number of players, popularity, region etc) It's a beautiful app.

I really love this app. The amount of games & also the link to the products is great. My only complaint is the text size. I downloaded this on my phone first, & then I downloaded it on my tablet for when I'm at home & the text size on my tablet is almost the same as my phone. I would much rather the text for the rules of the games scale to the size of the device. If I wanted to read text that small I'd just use the app on my phone.

I know how to play with cards , but I forgot some of the rules because I didn't play the for a long time. This app was very helpful reminded me of all of what I have forgotten and also I learned some new games throughout it😁. So yaaah five stars.

Lots of cut off text and some games the rules just stop scrolling so you can't actually learn "how to play" I guess its good for discovering new games but kinda pointless if you don't know how to play them.

I like this app because it tells you the rules about card games. There was so much card games that I never even heard of. Overall good app to use if you want to learn card games with your family/friends.

It is a great application that teaches you how to play cards. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5, is because if they included pictures in the instructions, it would be easier to understand.

it is nice and I believe it works offline so it's good just to see when you're camping what card games you can play with the one deck of cards you have and the options are expand when you have two decks

No pictures or visual guide on what the table is supposed to look like. It's an issue for the solitaire games. I had better luck on YouTube for most of the games listed here.

This app has no gameplay. It has instructions for card games. I feel like it doesn't explain nearly as many games as it could. Hundreds of games remain yet to be described. (To clarify: Mentioning that this app has no gameplay is not a criticism; I wrote that merely for an informative purpose.)

Needs pictures of the cards in play to aid in set-up, rules, etc. Text only is confusing.

Sha. T. Mar 7, 2021

The rules are written incomplete hard to follow and missing info. Also words get covered up by suggestions for other games and you cant read all the rules. I was pretty disappointed.

This is great offline. Download now, and use the rule book to play cards with your friends. We keep trying new card games.

This app requires an active data connection to show game rules. Who plays cards when they have internet? Don't download this prior to camping or travelling unless you'll have data the whole time.

Jus. M. Nov 19, 2018

Pretty good. Several games I wanted to look up are not in it yet. I'll keep it around to look up rules when offline.

I really love the app, I love the face I can easily browse a list of games I can play with playing cards!

Pat. E. Mar 6, 2022

Bots win more than they lose. Gin, you can be at 90 and the bot wins in 2 hands.

Dav. B. Apr 1, 2022

Wow, shows just a handful of games. Better to just Google it.

Jas. B. Mar 19, 2020

People play Spades the wrong by taking out the two of hearts. I kind of had a feeling that was wrong because The Queen of Hearts can not be a queen if her whole army is not there. We are supposed to be taking out the two of diamonds and the two of clubs. PLAY IT THE RIGHT WAY HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!!

The app was great. It lost two stars when I started saying "no games found".

very nice explanations but it would be good if you add images with each explanations thank you.

It's nice rules are correct but there should be tutorial videos and the age for understanding if way off
