It wasn't bad. I feel it could've went into more depth. Maybe give some optional side lessons. Maybe add some history of the game, explain why the rules are what they are, the names, etc. Also, the game kept calling combinations of cards as singular "card". Example: someone had a pair of aces, and the game would say "this is a good card" instead of "these are good cards" or "this is a good hand" That's just annoying, and makes me think someone doesn't know their grammar very well.
If you are just trying to understand what moves are possible and learn all the basic terminology this app will work great for you. After that you can look over and review all the hand type which should help you on your journey to getting good at the game.
i love it! has beautiful graphics and teaches very well! but... i think it could have more advanced stuff like know the positions(button,sb,bb,utg, utg+,hijack, cut off), because without that this app can be finished in less than a hour.
Starts really on the basics, but it was really nice and smooth experience. It could use a check for typos, but it was nothing too bad.
It didn't cover odds at all!! It gave a good overview! If it has the calculations for odd at each turn of the cards it would be a 5 * app
Really simple and easy to understand. Definitely reccomend if you need to know the basic rules and hands.
Great app , the pop up after every tutorial was a bit meh but it taught Texas hold em really well and with ease so it's ok and the pop up was for more apps of this game
It is enough to start, but finished the tutorial in less than 30 minutes and now I'm uninstalling to find a better app.
The first time played didn't give enough time to read tutoring, wouldn't bring page back to reread; & app didn't function after to start games
Good quick guide with clear simple lessons. Great entry point for this total newbie.
The game section allowed for checking before the flop, checking isn't allowed until after the flop
It was a good tutorial but now that I finish, where do I play..? Ohh, i have to get another app, so I guess I can delete this tutorial..
It's a great app to learn for a beginner. It would be nice if the word bubbles didn't get in the way of the view of the player's details, but that's understandable on a mobile screen. Maybe the action could "freeze" before the words appear, then press a button to get the explanation, etc. Also nice if there were a "go back to last screen" option. Point is, to be able to study the setting better w/o interference.
