How to write Chinese character - Stroke order

This app is absolutely lovely! It is easy to use and contains a lot of useful information. It has great features and has a nice design as well. I recommend this app as a tool to everyone who want to learn how to read/write in Chinese Cantonese or Mandarin . ♡♡♡ (Thank you for the character, it was such a nice to do:))

I think this app is really good. Just pay attention to the words that you write. Because sometimes I see a chinese character only simplified and then I see the same character again but with both simplified and traditional version of it.

A very good app on the whole. As someone mentioned it would be nice to have the option to search using English keywords. Here's a bug in Putonghua pronunciation search function: If I search for ài, I will also get results for hài and zhài. Perhaps this can be seen as a feature for someone unsure what initial the word contains, but then I'd like it be an option. Also, I use a dark theme on my phone. So the animated character stroke order is a bit hard to see, as are some of the variant characters; they'd need a lighter background. I don't mind the ads, but I would like to donate.

Very helpful for learning to write traditional Chinese!Thanks I have a few suggestions to make it easier to find characters. First, include the option to search by English meaning. Also allow the user to refine the search when searching by pronunciation, so they can get search results for Cantonese or Manadrin pronuciation. Finally, allow the user to save a list of favorites. Good app. User interface needs more optimization. Besides that, it's an overall great experience

It would be great to be able to categorize the characters in HSK (exam words) and TOCFL levels, and to add colour to the tones. Overall, it is a great app, but it is very uncomfortable not to have different categories. Also, the sound takes a lot of time to play.

The software has been useful for me to learn traditional chinese. The animated strokes are a blessing when I don't know how to write a word. Hopefully more words will be added in the future ^ ^ However, the ads are permanent, there is no way to remove them as there is no paid option. Its hard to concentrate as a result.

would have been go but you have to look through ALL the characters in Hope's of finding the one you want. You can not enter pinying or English to search for the character most people who are learning don't know the character so they need to look it up by drawing it, pinying or English for the character. Then see chart step by step stroke order chart & an animation of how to write the correct stroke order.

I hope there is a basic strokes introduction or something that can help beginners to learn basic building blocks first before moving to characters. It would also be great if we can practice on the app as well.

Very easy to find a word even if you don't know how to write it. Just write a word in english, it shows you all hanzes with same pinyin. Click it, you got all need - how to write a character, pronuncation etc. Like it.

its good that there are a lot of characters to practice, but they are all in tradional and though the simplified is shown, it doesnt show how to write them. please improve.

Although the app description says: "for learners at initial stage of learning Chinese", - - 1) the app menus are in Chinese! - - 2) it shows the stroke order but does NOT show the stroke direction! - - 3) it does NOT let you practice writing the characters!

It would be nice to be able to mark the ones I learned. It's basically just a huge list and if I actually keep using it for a while it's going to get very annoying to find the word I was working on every time.

This app is just what I need! Love it that this app also teaches Cantonese side by side with Mandarin. Will happily share with my daughter who is trying to be proficient in Hong Kong Cantonese as she is not a native in the city.

very bad UX... It's hard to differentiate which is supposed to be clicked; hencd, I clicked everywhere yet nothing happened. and the loading screen took forever to load. Uninstalled

It seems ok, although there's no actual writing practice function like other apps have. Also, it doesn't seem to have some very basic suffixes such as 见。

Found this app to be really useful. One one feature needed: ability to search using English words. So that we can learn a particular word easily

This is just a good application, I can recommend it and if you are able to learn chinese , you are in the best app related to this awesome language.

Help my kids in learning. Chinese language, need included simplified Chinese writing step also... Then it should be very excellent.

Easy to use, well explained. If you write directly in pinyin you can find the symbols very easy.

Could use simplified, but this is most comprehensive, free character stroke dictionary I've seen.

Wonderful app especially good for beginners to learn the stroke and proper pronunciation.
