Let's get things straight once and for all: (although I successfully configured my APs after hours of trial and error) 1 - the lack of a web interface to configure the APs is a HUGE mistake. 2 - the user should not be forced to use only the app for the configuration. 3 - the APs are running HOT from the bottom I don'y know, I don't think they'll last very long. 4 - HP Support should help IT freelancer like myself, who works for several other businesses, to open a support case, I should not be forced to have a business to open a case. 5 - HP should have done better job on these APs, I did not expect this to happens from a well known company. 6 - Why should allow a lot of permissions to use the app? PLZ EXPLAIN 7 - IMPORTANT: When upgrading these APs will not be considered at all.
Doesn't work, spent hours in endless upgrade loop. Never picks up the ball to run. Ready to return unit.
I feel like I just wasted a lot of money buying 3 aps after using this junk software, I cannot activate any sites nor does it create an account for me - tried contacting support only to be told I have to contact the distributor who sold the product for support...
Absolute rubbish. From what i can tell the hardware seems to be decent but this software is complete junk. Folks. Stick with Ubiquiti
Cant' find the words to describe such frustrating way to set up this PIECE OF... Equipment. I got rid of it in the recycling area. X
it take forever to activate portal and job never done??? please fix that, i will edit review when you fix the issue
Nice and easy to use, proper plug and play access point and AP partnership.
Very easy to use. No technical expertise needed.
i west my whole day but i cant configure my hpe ap sc20
Works okay, but has no advanced features. Would love the ability to give friendly names to attached devices and some other features, such as additional networks with VLAN tags, etc.
Only basic controls over settings and no real way of knowing what is happening in the background. One glaring missing feature is not being able to give friendly names to attached devices for easy recognition. Added to this no method to hide access point. Please update to include these features.
Need to have more control feature like able to configure ur WiFi for just one band if desired ...also having issue with airprint this is most likely due to to "broadcast filter" been on just like Aruba ap..no setting to turn this feature off..this may be OK for certain user but not for everyone ..prefer paying a little more and getting the ap with aruba os which I can customize any setting I want
Great Application and easy to configure a wireless network
Garbage setup application on Android - would connect to the OfficeConnect SSID but then not configure the Access Point. Downloaded the App on my work iPhone and worked first time.
Requires unneeded permission & mandatory account registration, but still can't get the WiFi activated in a simple DHCP LAN. Called the customer support but nothing can be manually set up without app activation. Worst device ever.
Great little app. Easy to setup and do the job. I am used to the enterprise kit and this does not have the extra functions but that is the reason for the discounted price. if you want VLAN and multiple SSID other the main one and guest buy the full unit.
