First of all, it took a huge amount of time to configure it for the first time. Secondly, I do not understand why do I need to add any beneficiary IN ADVANCE everytime when I want to make a payment. I use several other mobile payment apps and the interface is much more intuitive on those and they are much more friendly than this one. Thinking twice, I will downgrade this vote to 1 star, as it just does 20% of what I would expect.

App is alright, but have a few things missing. Such as the option to edit scheduled payment details, as well as edit beneficiary details. Also not sure why it takes a million years for the money to go off of my account. It's very difficult to budget if, all at once, all your transactional orders of the past week goes off on one random day.

You should rebuild the whole app. The UX is outdated, features are too many clicks away, it's slow. Please do something you guys can do it 🙏

Poorly configured, highly confusing and essentially useless as important functions such as transfers don't even work. They promise you can make transfers with this app, but this is actually impossible. After trying several times to make a simple transfer, the app tells you it has been made - but then the next day they will send you a text saying the transfer wasn't made for an unexplained 'technical reason'. When asked for explanations, their 'customer service' is silent.

Since I use this new app I cannot access to my account, as apparently, it does not accept my password or secure key. I have blocked twice my account. It seems like a problem of the app itself. I can access without any problem from the Web. I contacted HSBC via email, and they told me that I have to call by phone. And I am afraid not... I can access to my account through the Web, but the app does not work. So you need to verify the app, and not me. Since you do not solve the problem, I will keep one star. The previous one worked well always. Regards.

Badly designed app that can't manage password changes. Changing your password doesn't seem to get into the database immediately, meaning you end up locking yourself out of your own account after typing a recently changed password. I've seen better.

Total disaster. While I strongly appreciate that HSBC tries to keep my account secure, they could learn a lot from Dutch or Polish banking apps. Something as simple as making a transfer is made terribly complex and a complete waste of time. App and online banking site need to be completely rethought.

HsbcFrance are terrible in general, not just the app. For example, bought something on line 24/12, nothing appears on the account for a week, then today...3rd Jan....it comes up debited on the 30/12 for a transactions the 24th. Also, the debit card limits 3000€ per month, starting on the 28th(?) yet it can't show you your balance remaining, but does block you if you reach it. Pretty useless for a firm relying on numbers as a business!

What is the point to announce a new function on Play store and send us am email too when it is actually not working!!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app (2.13.0) today 15 June 2020 and the new statement menu doesn't show. The old RIB menu is still displaying. Plus the message sent in the app enclose the same 2 attached documents with different titles. What is wrong with HSBC France???

The app is relatively slow and there is no biometric access (e.g. fingerprint). Compared to other banks apps I am currently using the only advantage I see is that you can see multiple accounts in the same app, for the rest there is no match. It would be nice to have access to the investment in the same app. Why do I need different apps?

De pire en pire, processus de login impossiblent compliqué, a lui seul mérite de changer de banque ! Everytime they do a major upgrade of the app it kicks you out of your account, and you have to dredge out obscure passwords and hope to get back in. And as the app is used for secure key, you effectively also get locked out of your accounts even online!

The app is terrible. It is buggy will log me out while using it, will close my account window and the description for line items will not always show. The HSBC customer service support in the app is terrible. The only saving grace is the actual customer support staff. Calling into them is the only way to get things done. They are 5/5 stars.

Secured. Easy. Simple. Saves time. Thanks HSBC for a good app. Especially I am more benefited as a foreigner. Good customer service. Secure messaging is very helpful and we receive fast replies. Suggestion: If we could have online connects or WhatsApp connects for quick discussions, it will be more helpful. Instead of waiting for right service over calls.

Nice to see fingerprint recognition and new interface. Setup process is still really painful due to the multiple codes. Stil very limited in options for investment, stocks, loans and facility bills payment. Notifications for payments and cash limit alert would be appreciable to have.

Up till recently it was good but now HSBC has reverted to type. The app now stalls on start up with a never ending circling authentication. Cleaning the cache and data gets it working again but you need to enter your membership number each time meaning it's become extremely awkward to use. Update. Now working but I cannot open the attachments that the app has invited me to look at.

The English version is full of French. There is no Forex rates information and international transfers are limited to a few currencies. Certain features of the app have improved since I started using it such as the fingerprint login function.

Changed phone to Pixel 3a XL, now when I open the app it prompts me with the numerical keypad (the one with numbers and the letters grouped in each number button), can't enter my password cuz I can't type letters. Also, fingerprint recognition is lost in this version. Impossible to use and I needed it urgently. What happened? What do I do?

Very bad. Payment codes can't be received on foreign phone number for at least the past 18 months and HSBC doesn't care. They even ask you to deactivate the security in order to pay online!!! Extremely worrying display of contempt for clients and security (probably compliance and even regulation as well).

I am using this app since 2017. Unfortunately it has stopped working after recent update; showing black screen. Tried to solve the problem by reinstalling the app, even formatting the mobile...but could not solve. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

App does not work if not updated. Update is required every few months, using space and system resource. It implies to use updated OS (you cannot update the app on older OS) which means you need to own a quite recent smartphone (OS update is really a hassle on older phones)

Incredibly difficult to use trying to remember difference between user id/secure key passwords etc. Calling customer service regarding those sets you back about 20 mins. Just the simple task of sending someone money is time consuming as you first have to make an account for them. In other banking apps I can pay scanning a QR code, i can send payment requests over WhatsApp, i can set my own limits on the amount of money I can shift without extra security code. None of this at HSBC.

Making banking as difficult as possible... Security is very important. As a customer of HSBC, you'll find out that the bank goes out of its way to make login so complicated and obstructive, with multiple passwords and codes, that you're likely to not be able to connect when you need to. I have bank accounts in multiple countries, HSBC is the only one I never know if I'll be able to log into. Avoid if you can.

It took me 6 months to get back my money on a life insurance contract I regretfully opened with HSBC France. I called you at least 100 times, from abroad so at a cost, never the same person/solution. You really get the award of the all-industry, all-country, all-time worst service ever. Just close down the shop, put the key under the door and go home. Oh, but don't forget to give the money back!
