HST Images Feed Widget

The Hubble Space Telescope represents some of the most remarkable scientific and engineering achievements of modern humanity. Orbiting in space, far above the effects of Earth's atmosphere, it has opened new windows into our Solar System and Universe that were previously unknown. Peering into the outermost reaches of our universe, it has inspired a myriad of new theories, experiments, proofs, and even more advanced instrumentation. It has collected beams of light from unimaginably distant places for much longer than it was originally designed for, thanks to the indomitable courage and skill of NASA astronauts. These facts and more lend to its immediately legendary status in the archives of Earth's history.
The HST Images Feed Widget provides a home screen widget that displays images from the Hubble Space Telescope. HST images are obtained from the Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes (MAST) web feed. There are three sizes of widget to choose from: small, medium, and large. HST Images Feed Widget collects images from the MAST web feed and stores them on the local filesystem for offline viewing and to save bandwidth. Click on an image to display in a full screen viewer with a full description.
