HT200

I have never been able to use this thing. When I plug it in it will let me connect to Bluetooth (bind it). The light will turn blue indicating it is connected. It will say it was successfully binded on my app. However, it will not go past that point. I have only seen the app itself in pics on here because I cannot go any further than the pairing process.

The app and device are slow. Instead of remembering codes when going between menu options it has to read again. Once vin is detected it should go straight to the menu (with an option to modify later) but instead wants you to confirm it multiple times. You also have to have multiple apps instead of everything all in one place. No support for Android 12 either.

Waste of time & money. The only thing that works is the Bluetooth connection. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, 64bit phone. I CAN NOT download the software! Without software it will not work. When trying to download the software it says "Refreshing", & will until hell freezes over! Contacted support, more time wasted. I was told my phone connection was the problem, even though I had downloaded an app that they wanted me to use & we were talking on the phone while doing it. Buyer beware. DON'T BUY.

Always stalls after downloading vehicle and now it restarts or freezes up on home page immediatelyafter selecting a diagnostic option. Doesn't matter if it demo, EOBD, or vehicle. Please fix this issue. It does the same on Hyper Tough app and Autel apps. Would also like to know if the device can work with other than Hyper Tough and Autel. Sorry guys but for $60, you should be doing alot better on design, options, support, additional features such as comparability or plug and play features.

Does what it claims, most of the time. Worked well at first, then it claimed I need to "bind" my VCI, months later. I couldn't find the original packaging so it just didn't work for a long time then suddenly did again. If an update comes out you can do NOTHING until you update. New firmware causes the same issue. Does not function at all if the host device doesn't have an internet connection to advertise more Autel products. Works otherwise as advertised.

I run a Google Pixel 2 with the latest software in the newest version of the HT200 application. I open the app and it crashes immediately. I want 100% cannot use this product. I have cleared the cash deleted the application reinstalled the application ran the application in safe mode as well as restarting my device. It is not functional. I have tried this on a second Android device, a Samsung Galaxy s2e with the same error.

This is a joke. First it will not connect, after - it will tell you to update firmware, after it will disconnect during update and will die. Red light . Hardware or firmware that comes in this device is a 🤣. Taking it back to Walmart. And sounds that app makes every 5 to 10 seconds is annoying. But since it was born dead - it doesn't matter.

worst automotive app you can get. $15 per manufacturer and you constantly have to re download the manufacturer's subscription to your device or it wont scan codes or do anything?! I had this happen to me while experiencing a problem roadside. long story short, this app proved useless when i needed it most. the bluetooth vci scanner ONLY works with autel apps. im going to get a cheap bluetooth scanner on amazon for $10 that works with torque pro, because this one is an expensive disappointment.

May I suggest an option to save what data gets logged during live data view? Meaning if I only want data from sensor x, y, and z, and I close the app, I want those settings to continue for the next time I open the app. Most users only have one license for one make, and they likely just use this product on their personal vehicle, so we don't need settings reset after each app close.

This use to be the best thing I had for my own personal truck along with anyone else who needed some help but now I can't get the damn thing to connect with the VCI. It doesn't even find it at all and nothing is working to fix it. I have Android 12 on Galaxy S10. Please fix this bullish before I go insane and buy a different one with a different company

Used to be really good, I used the app frequently to diagnose and get detailed stats about my vehicle. Upon updating, the app no longer will even open, rendering a $50 electronic device useless currently, as the ODB2 reader doesn't work with any other apps.

This thing is awesome. It's more than a code reader. You can scan every module and read real usable data pids. Some bidirectional controls. Like a mid level shop scan tool. Year subscription for every make and you get every year after '96 model for that brand. Only downside is no data log recording playback for yourself and must be connected to a WiFi or data to launch program. But we'll worth the investment.

How do I get this to work with Android 10? My phone updated today. HT200 wouldn't start. I uninstalled it. Restarted my phone. Reinstalled it and it's still not working. Keeps saying app is closing. I emailed support twice over the past 2 weeks and no reply. I guess if your phone is Android 10 or about to get the update which most Android 9 phones are, then don't buy it because it won't work, or will stop working as soon as your carrier updates your phone to Android 10. They are doing it now.

Only used it a few times a few months back worked ok... have to buy modules for each vehicle at $ 15 each. Not sure how long they are good for. . now my check light just came on today. App keeps stopping. Not worth the money have over $80 invested and it does not work when I need it. It's a money grab that worked a few time in the first week I had it. Would not recommend

Filled with ads, stuck in a pairing loop and won't pair. Literally can't even use the tool. Forces you to download multiple apps. Wants your location. No advertising that each manufacturer you want to diagnose costs $22. I've wasted an hour trying to pair this thing and $50 buying it from Walmart. Plus the apps are massive for what they are. Wish it worked. Huge scam!

App used to work with previous phone. Does not work with Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I had Android 11, HT200 would fail at sign-on, and the app wouldn't go beyond binding account with dongle.. I noticed developer notes for the latest build mentioned fixes for Android 12, so I updated to Android 12 and the app launches then closes itself. Clearing cache and uninstalling/reinstalling was attempted to no avail. Hopefully a timely resolution is on the horizon.

Thing is trash, using a bluetooth scanner and it dosn't want to show anything. Can login, connect device, and bind and then all it says is registered. Wouldn't waste your money on this I agree with the other saying to just buy a regular scanner.....so much for modern and easy to use!

Fantastic portable diagnostic tool. Very few times have I needed to grab my bigger Autel or Snap on scanners. I wish it defaulted to SAE measurements for US based people. Having to switch from Metric can be a hassle at times. Fantastic data streams, as well as programming/relearning functionalities. Highly recommend.

Great app and dongle, now i have a scanner in my pocket whenever i need one, no cords to carry around. Reads all makes and model for free, if you want to get into the dealer side of the modules you pay a subscription per vehicle manufacturer to access those, even my professional scanners have a subscription for manufacturer specific software and that was on top of $3000 you pay for the scanner. If you don't know what you're doing its because you don't know what you're doing. Great product Autel.

They recently made my phone compatible with this app=) This $30 bluetooth obd2 scanner does WAY more than my $100 Bluedriver scanner. The HT200 reads every module, sometimes in newer cars theres over 20 modules! PCM, TCM, TCS, ABS, TPMS, IMMOBILIZER, AIRBAG, HVAC, etc. It even cracked Dodge/Chryslers Immobilser. Which is remarkable. My 05 Durango came with a broken RKE key-fob. Shop wouldn't touch it, locksmith tried and failed. I tried the HT200, now my keyless entry works!

Very poor software. I downloaded the app as described in the instructions, registered my account and bound the dongle, but it doesn't let me use the app. All I can do is scan for the dongle , bind, and go back to the login screen. Even after pairing via bluetooth I won't throw good money after bad. Perhaps I can get a refund on the dongle before I waste any more of my time.

The package should state what phones this device only works if you have 64 bit phone /tablet. Completely useless and a HUGE waste of time and money. Still have receipt, package unopened... Unless Autel is releasing an update to make this app work with 32 bit devices within the next few days, this goes back and Autel is off my list of trusted brands. Bad bad bad Autel... I'm extremely disappointed.

If i could give this a zero star rating i would. I bought mine in NOVENBER and haven't been able to use it not even once!! Terrible !! Every time i try the app just crashes and kicks me out to my phones home screen. I've been on the phone for hours with support and have gotten absolutely nothing done. I literally paid this company$50 for a headache. Never once did i get to use the thing. Ya, I'm pissed.

Most of the special functions won't work, a message saying "vin decoding failed" pops every time , contacted customer support twice but they can't figure out the problem. I will give it 5 star if the problem gets fixed. Now is not working at all, vehicle brand files gone and no way to re download them, absolutely worthless

Purchase brand new doesn't seem to work at all try on a 2009 Ford Taurus I can somewhat get the device to connect to the app but none of the functions work every button I push just asking to reconnect to the device. Over and over and over. So far nothing about this has been simple.

Worst product I have ever purchased! Either the App or the Dongle needs work. It will not open after it connects to phone, it goes back to my home page where the app is located. All permissions are granted and it just clicks back to the beginning . Junk!!!

Not sure if it is the app or scanner but... Worked great for two weeks this time (made it a month on the first one) however the device has lost the ability to connect to my phone. This isn't a phone or reader specific issue since it has happened across multiple devices

Android 11 is not currently supported. If your app doesn't launch or work properly, you might check that. I was told there will be an update released at the end of the month adding coverage. It's well worth the $50. I've had mine for going on two years. There have been a few issues but customer service has always taken care of it.

🤢 yuck you have to buy separate licences for each model vehicle you want to read... Yeah you have the basic stuff for free, but the point of buying this OBD tool itself was so you can read other modules in the vehicles like the ABS. It's made worse that the licences are also only good for one year from date of purchase... What a ripoff. Buyer beware! Not one star because it does at least work. Just be ready to fork out $20+ for each Vehicle OEM IE Ford, Nissan, Chevy. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯

You can't get better OBD for the money. It served me very well. This inexpensive model is offering options you can find only in higher class readers. It saved many times on the road. But after the Mercedes modification on Sprinters it stopped working properly. Please update accordingly. Update: Autel responded to my email.
