HTC Car

On htc one m8, the car app is the most useful app I ever used on any phone . In the cradle worked instantly and switched off when removed from cradle. Doesn't need access to everything in your life like many apps ask for. No ads. No updates needed My car has no Bluetooth so any new phones and some of the other car apps are hopeless as I don't see why we should have to buy other accessories apart from a phone holder when this app does great. thanks htc but you should keep supporting this this. still works well 5years on. Voice control for sms and phone call reply and Music player

This is by far the best Car app ever. No idea why anyone would want to discontinue this. Sadly, HTC dropped support for this in 2016. Shame, super great UI with great features you want and no other BS. Also had a good privacy policy compared to Android Auto's "Privacy" policy. I'm going to keep sideloading this on my newer phones until it won't work anymore.

Hurricane Chaser is RIGHT! Why did HTC stop maintaining this app? It's beautiful! I'm going to try to install it on my Oreo machine now. It works better with MirrorLink than RockScout does!

Why can't we change the music player app. Must be an integration with spotify ie.

My HTC desire 626 keeps acting up and everytime I notice the car app keeps launching by itself. At time I can't even use the phone since it exits out of any app I use at times I can't even successfully make a call because it launches the speaker and turns it off multiple times it is the worst app please fix your mistake HTC .

Still keep coming back to this for its easy access to my other need it now' apps, where others fail. I wish it could have a setting that will open the app on connection to Bluetooth, rather than only the HTC car holder .. Other than that I'm happy with it 😊

Battery now won't charge at all with the latest update of this app. The app keeps launching by itself, won't detect USB lead being connected and I now have to uninstall the updates and turn off the auto launch feature to get it to charge!

As of the update before the recent one this app has made me hate the entirety of your company, I can't even watch YouTube anymore, car mode opens on it's own, be it on charge, off charge, with or without headphones, no magnets anywhere near it, and no water damage, all this is is bloat wear, honestly you guys are making Apple not look quiet that bad right now, please tell me there's a way to un install this garbage. Edit. Also this is not a smooth interface, is annoying and fidgety

This app randomly starts on its own frequently. I've now seen this with the stock cable, and other high-quality cables. Regardless, one of the best things about Android is the large amount of peripheral standardization, like USB and Bluetooth. One shouldn't require a proprietary USB cable. If the hardware is really THAT fragile (as I suspect given the number of reports of this issue), you should have either fixed the port, or just released a proprietary cable..

The best apps so far for my htc 628. I purchased htc phone just for this apps. Therefor i could connect with my honda hrv. Love it. But lately, there is one apps interfere and disturb the function which is android auto. When i want to click home, android auto will block it. I dont know how android auto appeared suddenly. Please htc... hope u could vanish android auto from our htc. Hate it

I used to have an HTC Desire 816 and a car holder, and I used this app every time I plugged in my phone and went somewhere. It was awesome. But now I'm using an HTC Desire 626, and it doesn't work at all. It keeps crashing the app and sometimes even crashing my phone. Very frustrating.

I tried to connect my phone HTC desire 820 dual sim phone with maruti Suzuki baleno 2017 model car , HTC car / mirror link doesn't connect properly / not working. Both phone and car slda supports mirror link functionality Developers need to fix this issue

Before the last update it used to find the gps in less than 5 seconds, now it takes around 15 mins to detect. why you screwed up all the good work. Now i can't use the application.

I get thrown out of the maps app back to the menu. Often response is very sluggish. Voice recognition is useless

Use it on almost every car trip. Wish that latest car and OK google would play nice like before. OK google while driving disabled on HTC problem apparently. Car voice very slow start, less recognizing, somewhat less capable.

Htc one m9 + Toyota Avensis + Mirror Link. I can open app from car's multimedia player when car is not moving. But when car moves car's multimedia player says that this apo cannot be used. With some Mirror Link apps this doesn't happen. Car app which cannot be used while car is moving => useless.

Uninstalled and then reinstalled the application because it was not reading incoming voicemail messages. Using HTC speak with this program makes it a little Annoying. HTC speak does not easily work with car mode. I may have to find another application.

I really enjoyed using this app when I had to travel by car using my older devices (HTC M7 and M8). It is very comfortable and easy to use. Unfortunately, this app is not compatible with my new device, HTC 10, which has Android Nougat operative system. Could HTC release an update that is compatible with Android Nougat? I would really appreciate that, so I could continue using this app on my new device.

HTC car app was working fine on my HTC M9 before android system upgraded to 6.0. I cannot control music app which is HTC default one and showing 'this app is not available while car is in motion'. Shouldn't upgrade mean better performance rather than downgraded on functions? I purchased HTC M9 just because ppl said it is the best compatible phone to my car but now it is useless after android system upgarde. Make it fixed HTC! very disappointed!!! Or refund the money!!
