HTC Transfer Tool

Does not pair!!. As many have pointed out, the program fails at the very first step - i.e. devices identifying each other. Wonder how HTC could create a piece of software that has its basics wrong at a time its struggling for survival. After all, HTC phones were once so popular for their quality of Software and ease of use.

I used this in 2019 and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately I can't use it to transfer my mobile phone data to my new android phone (brand). HTC U11 deteriorates every yr. 1st yr, SMS had problems. 2nd, back cam stops working. 3rd (now), can't connect to internet/mobile network. Ah well...

Asks illogical questions such wants PIN entered on both phones whilst it provides it at none. There is no going one step back, app will close. Can't select wifi/nfc/hotspot/??! Fails connecting !!! Vague, bad, and simply missing instructions all over app. It gave me no chance to determine the from/old and to/new device as I intend it but seems to solemnly want to base this on version and/or type of phone? You can REALLY not imagine any other situation or reason for different order HTC?! Rubbish!!

How to make it work: Wi-Fi on new phone may shut down when trying to transfer and transfer will fail. Try this. On old phone make it a hotspot with SIM card installed. On new phone search on Wi-Fi for old phone as hotspot. New phone will save password address but will not connect. That's okay. Then go through transfer process but opening HTC Transfer app on old phone and on new phone going to settings and tap on transfer from old phone to new phone. Let the phones touch each other. Works well.

Nothing transfers. Doesn't even offer to transfer apps, but that's fine because it doesn't transfer anything it says it will either. Uses a wifi hotspot to connect from htc to samsung. Either Samsung blocks this on purpose, HTC is just that bad or, more likely, a healthy dose of both greed (Samsung lockout) & incompetence (HTC).

Useless app. Tried transferring from htc desire 19 to new htc desire 21 and nothing. Phones establish same pass codes but when transfer is inititated, phones off their connections and in a min report failure. Whoever designed it, didn't test it thoroughly. Perhaps next time I switch to other phone company as HTC started to disappoint.

Worked great when switching from a Nexus 4 to a U12+. Super fast, and everything transferred over properly. Pairing is automatic and easy. Recommended.

My old phone, a Pixel is running Android 9 and my HTC U Ultra which I really love by the way is running Android 8. After i did some reading I found out that you can't copy from a higher system to a lower system number. Disappointing but reasonable.

Why doesn't this app allow the phone it is downloaded to, to act as the "New phone" & receive data from an old phone? My HTC phone doesn't even have an option for, "Send content to new to new phone," which would solve my current problem. It just says, "Get content from an old phone."

Works great, little bit confusing, the confirm pin No is tucked away down the bottom of screen, transferred everything from my previous phone to new phone.

The app is flawed and broken. From the get-go I became stuck with the inabilty to enter the pin code it wants 1 min after startup and already failing. Trash coding in action I say.

Perfect for HTC transfers. The app had trouble at first, so I uninstalled & reinstalled. Then follow instructions it worked for me perfectly.

I used this app before, now i can't find ( get content from another phone) on either my HTC Desire 650, or HTC 12, so i tried using HTC Sense app, but also the phone i want to transfer files to Desire 650 is not connecting.

Works perfectly with transfers and restoration of "lost" info. HTC looks after its loyal HTC users.

So far, it has taken my pc about 6 months to recognize my phone. I had given up & one day it appeared. Strange?? I'm going to give it anouther try! Still have confidence in GOOGLE.

Total garbage. Can't even transfer content between two HTC phones because they never "find" each other.

Used to work like a charm (between HTC M9 and U11). Sadly it's just useless now (between U11 and Desire Pro 20).

We really miss the good old days of HTC, those flagships...

Back to front. I'm trying to copy FROM the old HTC to a New Oppo but the app can't do that.

Worse transfer method ever whoever came up with using this instead of normal wifi direct like most phones was probably drunk

transfer videos and pictures from m8 to u12+ successfully. However, screenshot will not be transfer.

App does not work at all, keeps turning off Wi-Fi..

super easy, worked on my really old phone, no issues.

Does not work with all htc to htc. You have to try several versions.

Good services for all conditions,l think HTC made for a better quality.

Didnt work lost half my pictures couldnt get google whole thing was a failure

Worked last time I moved my HTC to another phone, however this time didn't seem to work at all.

It asks for money to remove adds and asks for more to access certain features
