Top3 in the range. There are some potential to improve. 1: Save,re-edit and delete widgets. Currently the old ones are not able to be re-used but still showing in the app. 2: Text under icon widget is more like shortcuts. Currently only text inside the button or icon only which are not nice looking. Thanks for the effort.
I'm using this to operate smart things like wifi light switches and plugs. it does a great job. it would be worth paying for it it could also do mqtt pubs. I could also benefit from being able to send more than one http request with the same widget.
Loved this widget. But it stopped working after upgrading to Android 10. It shows 'Loading' forever. Can you please check ? EDIT: I noticed that it takes forever to timeout when url is not reachable. When URL is reachable it works fine. So maybe something to do with timeout.
Nice simple app. The only thing I really miss (or don't know how to) is the ability to give different responses for the button text and toast, for example by allowing a toast message to be read from a simple 'X-Toast-Text' header or something.
How to make a POST request with form-data key value pairs? I am using postman in my system for API testing; and it will be nice, if the app contains an option to specify form-data key value pairs with a user friendly UI for GET and POST requests. Anyway is it available with custom headers?
Works like a charm but what to do if the widgets are gone from your screen somehow when your home screen crashes? I can still edit them but cannot restore the widgets. Must i recreate them?
serves the purpose as described. dont know why people are complaining about this app. small and nice app just what i needed, saved my time or else had to built one for myself.
Works fine, Copy function of widget would be really nice. Thx so much for this work.
Works great!! Do you have an iPhone version as well?
Widget does not work after first addition crashes again and again...
Downloaded this app to avoid the pain of making my own Android widget app to turn my bedroom lights on/off for my IoT project. Works great so far!
There no available functionality at least in free version
This is not free app does not clear for payment information while downloading
Is there a way to have one button do multiple HTTP Requests at one button press?
Worked only once. So uninstalling
Thanks, the app works.
Great and fast
Opened the app to a blank "Edit Widget" page with no button or instructions to add a widget Figured out after a few minutes that you have to add a widget manually through your Android launcher. No way to specify raw text body for HTTP POST request; only allows key/value pairs. Uninstalled and found a different app that has a "Add" button for widgets and allows specifying a text body for POST requests.
Nice app. It would be sweet to have an Android Wear version of this so you could trigger from you watch.
All it says is edit widget... and then you have no widgets to edit.
Nothing shows up after the.button is clicked !!!!
Happy with this widget. Simple and clean. I would like to had an option for auto refresh every n seconds/minutes.
Would be great if you could kindly include the instruction in order for "Parse Text" to work. What server response is it expecting?
Very good! Allows me to instantly fire a request to switch my lights on/off. The only thing I'm missing is the ability to create a 1x1 size widget. It seems the smallest one you can get is 1x2...
Works great. Making all kinds of wifi gadgets for my plane hangar. Starting with the hangar door. Lights and engine preheater are next on the list
App is nice. I am able to control IOT devices. However, I wish it allows users to specify a POST data (content). There is a facility to specify HTTP headers and key/value pair, but there are certain IOT devices that require a particular POST data/content to work.
Opens to a blank "edit widget" screen, with no means to create one
Good for WiFi projects
Best app ever
Very useful to me as it is light and runs well on an old but still functional Samsung Tab 10.1. - android 4.0.4 with no further official updates available. I decided to try and convert this for use mainly as a universal remote. But most smart home apps and IFTTT won't work on an OS of this vintage. So very glad I found "HTTP Widget" which proved a good work-around in these circumstances. It in effect enables the creation of bespoke virtual desktop remotes, each widget button sending the required url to IFTTT in the cloud, thus operating its linked app and the smart gadget which sits behind it. All of which I set up in advance on a more modern android device. Successfully giving the old tablet a new lease of life! Just one thing, it would be good to be able to back up the widget settings as I understand that I would have to recreate a whole lot of widgets if my set-up ever became corrupted.
