Absolutely useless at stitching the two parts together, it never marries up at a single point along the seam, which is a spectacular achievement in itself. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, with this camera and App, I can follow the seam all the way around and never find a point where it is actually invisible. To think they removed the Google photosphere option from the camera to force people to buy this little add-one only for it to be this botched. This app better get improve quickly, or they can have the camera back.
App interface is a bit clunky and could have some cleaning. Filters aren't really useful, and there should be a timer button at the camera screen instead. But the 4 stars are because the photos are upside down and there's no setting to fix that. This means only the app shows the photo on the correct position if you don't turn the phone upside down when shooting; the default gallery always show it upside down, even if you rotate the photo. I also can't play the video inside the app.
Works fine with the Huawei 360 camera attachment. A few things to improve: - add geotag feature to photos and videos - the program doesn't recognise the camera after the phone was turned off and on with the camera in place and requires the attachment to be removed and plugged in again. Better detection prevents wear and tear of the connectors.
Not bad. But I'm having some issues with my app. Timer does not work. And some times my app will freeze. I have tried lots of ways to fix it. But I had to uninstall and reinstall the app again and again!!! And I really wish I get all these bugs fixed soon. And with this I want light pannel mode for video!!!! So I can save the 360° video in light pannel mode!!! Not only gif!!!! I use mi 8 lite device!!!
One of the most affordable solutions for people interested in 360 photography. Iam using it with my Huawei P30 Lite and am simply delighted. Images are a little low detail when viewed on my Samsung Odyssey + VR headset. However it's not bad for under $80. I would like to see a slightly higher resolution camera in future product releases from Huawei or a software upgrade to save uncompressed stitched images. They should integrate it with the native camera app.
Worked pretty good except for occasional stitching errors and random photos being in the wrong orientation. But then I updated my Pixel 3A XL to Android 11 beta, and now all photos are processed to just bands of bright colors. I tried the camera on a different phone to make sure it wasn't a hardware problem, and it worked fine.
Great app and relatively good control over the photo. What's missing is the ability to change brightness/contrast/gamma for the final photo. Also, could you please include an option to use my own watermark? Also, the gif is rather low fps. Could there be a future version where there's a higher frame gif and option of saving as mp4 instead of only gif? Is it possible to include a 3-step bracketing so that HDR photo could be created?
The app works. The timer function doesn't work on mi 5s, no manual exposure, iso or shutter controls as advertised on the camera, no time lapse function and It would be great to have a tiny planet and the oder modes in preview as you take the pictures. the camera is great, but the app is just awful
Good and fast app but when you click a photo, there is a white patch which comes at the bottom where the camera is attached to the phone! Is there going to be an update to remove that?! Also after you edit the photo, why can't we export it and save it in high resolution instead of saving it as a screenshot? Good product though!
The app works and generally does what it is supposed to do. However, it would REALLY help if there was an option to improve image quality (feels like it is being saved at 50% JPEG quality or something) or, ideally, have RAW or unstitched image support as well. Not to mention such basics as manual ISO and shutter settings. It is such a shame that the app and product in general appear abandoned. With better work on the app, it could easily be at the top of the cheap 360 gadgets. I really hope that a large company like Huawei can find some time and resources to polish this to its full potential.
Works great for videos. 100% No problems and good stiching. Select 'hide camera with watermark' to REMOVE "huawei" text-watermark (!) The software crashes often when taking still photos (samsung s8+ and note 4). Tried loads of things - sometimes it works fine, but mostly not. However video works without a hitch- which is why I got it. The SDcard save folder is: SD/ android/data/com.huawei.cvIntl60/DCIM/CV60 - this doesn't get indexed in gallery. Developer, please change to sd -DCIM ;-)
using with the huawei mate 20 pro. seems to work well but the facebook live part doesnt work. i go to the screen that starts facebook live share only to see that i am stuck with no button to continue the live video.. this feature should work with some of your flagship devices. but it doesnt right now. maybe i am missing something
Please add these features: 1. Wireless shutter control via bluetooth headset, which is available in the Mate 20 Series. 2. Option to take 180 degree photo/video (only 1 lens will work) This app otherwise does what its supposed to do. Nice.
Works great with the cv60 360 camera! Want more control over Exposure, or access to shutter / iso for professional HDR programs. If more manual control's or "auto exposure bracketing" was added it would become the perfect 360 camera!
Very disappointed. I've bought Huawei 360 cam last winter, I have been using it with Xiaomi phones since then with photos and videos being shot in landscape mode makes the photos/videos viewed rotated in other 360 apps and other phones. So, I have bought Huawei Nova 5T pbone thinking that buying Huawei phone can solve the problem, but it did not. Also, streaming to Facebook is not possible. Unfortunately, I will not trust any Huawei products any more. It is shame
App regularly stops working. Have to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall. Very frustrating. If this could be fixed it would make it a good app, but currently it's a big fail. P20 Pro.
If you want a no nonsense 360 camera, this is it. Saves automatically into the phone gallery which for me gets uploaded automatically into Google photos. Camera itself is small and compact, no need to charge. I wish more companies offer this.
Excellent, but options are very few, there should be more options in order to capture MORE professionally, add Pro mode please :) Unleash the true potential! Edit: Fix android 11 issues, it's showing blackscreen At start
Overall OK. There is no option to straighten the horizon which is quite a necessary feature (unless you always take photos with the phone perfectly leveled)
Going live on facebook doesn't work. Can't shoot video longer then 5 minutes. No advanced features like time-lapse or pivot point... Camera is unrecognizable b other apps.
It works with Samsung S10 phone for photos and video taking. However, both the live stream to Facebook or YouTube feature does not work. To developer: instead of direct live stream to Facebook or YouTube, could you add live streaming to generic RTMP server in your next app update ? Trust this will solve the streaming issue with user inputting the RTMP live stream URL.
My Poco F1 android phone does not detect the Huawei 360 camera, went to their service center but Huawei failed to solve it. So don't buy this camera without checking in the shop. They did not allow me to check it saying it was a sealed pack.
Worked well till android 9 update even after formatting phone. Plug it in and the led flashes red put it in a older phone and it works.bug fixes need to hsppem. Mate 10 Pro. Do it's even there own phone
It can only take photos and videos, nothing more. They should add- 1. HDR / exposer bracketing 2. Timelapse 3. Editing in full resolution
Used with Xiaomi but now the app is just a black screen and not functional in any way no matter if the cam is connected or not.
Only works for so long then won't start on my P20, having to uninstall then reinstall then it works for so long, then back to square one again, it's not a very stable app considering I'm using a Huawei phone, app and camera.
This app exists to be used with an attachment, which I have, in order to take 360 photos. However, it only works with the camera directly connected to the phone- extension cables are a no go. The stitching leaves much to be desired, though, and the branded watermark makes me absolutely hate both the app and camera. I would not wish this on anyone, and will be actively advocating against purchase to my friends and colleagues. Just get a ricoh theta.
