This app is not official and is not affiliated with NASA, all images and detail information comes from hubblesite.org which is run by the Space Telescope Science Institute's Office of Public Outreach (STScI). Still nothing. removed and reinstalled app thinking maybe it was a bad install. wrong. apparently the author has abandoned this app because in reading more of these reviews, it seems this is an issue that's pretty common. what a waste of my time I'm uninstalling this.
Hubble telescope was one of the best things humans have ever created. The pictures from it will never grow old or boring. Neither will this app.
doesn't work. no images render. it has been this way ever since I got the app a month ago, across all my devices
Developer appears to have abandoned the app as images are no longer available.
It worked fine at first - Has not been updated since 2016. It hasn't fallen into a black hole, has it?
It is a very nice app. It shows me all the space images. I love this app.

Love the app and haven't experienced any problems with it yet. Only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is because I know there are HD images available online for many of these. I'd pay money for an upgrade that would allow zoom with increased clarity. If not links to higher definition images online would be an easy addition to the app.
This app is one of just three that get an inarguable five star rating from me. That said, of late, no informational text is appearing to accompany the astrophotographs. For myself, I know a lot of the images quite well, so it's not a deal-breaker; but nonetheless it does need some attention. I won't alter my rating, because this is very unlikely to be the developer's fault: it's much more probable that the source site has been tinkered with again.
UPDATE: So sad - this was a great spp before it stopped working, and I haven't found anything else like it. Hope the developer finds time soon to fix it. I would happily pay for this app. OLD: Beautiful - great app to get you into a relaxed state at bedtime, or any other time you need to put the petty irritations of daily life into perspective. It's like having your own pocket-size IMAX theater :)
Everything is great with this app, only thing I want the Developer to add into this would be options for Filtering images, like date wise, popularity wise, etc, it is a great app. To those who are wondering if they could get a better image clarity? the answers is, click on an image you like, then click the menu icon and press open in browser option, it will open the official page of that image, download the image in super HD, no problem! Cheers!
The app looks awesome but i can't see any description. 3 stars for now will give it 5 as soon as i see description. Please fix it now.
It says "no internet connection" when I tap a tile. I was hoping it would work because it has no ads and its interface is good.
The app is really good. But there is one problem. It takes really much time in loading images.
I uninstalled because it told me that I wasn't connected to the internet when I was! I was looking at the "supposed" entire collection when I wanted to look at a brown dwarf star. I went to the side menu and clicked on Stars then the brown dwarf listing then that's when I was told I wasn't connected! Shoddy!!!
Absolutely gorgeous content with just the right amount of info. This application is almost a match made in heaven for people curious about stars and the universe. From imagery choice to loading animations, the experience has all been great.
When I first downloaded and opened the app, everything was fine it worked great, and I thought, What a great app this was.. Tried opening it recently, and like most other reviews, it keeps telling me there's no internet connection, what's happened to it??. Please fix the problem urgently, working properly, it's a fabulous 5 star app!!. At the moment I'm struggling to give it 3 stars on the hope it'll be fixed. Then I'll give it the 5 stars it deserves!!. I've noticed there are no replys from the programmer "derekcsm" to all the reviews, both good and bad ones, which is not a good sign!. If it's not sorted soon, it's getting uninstalled!!. It's back up and running again for now from 29/12/16. So as promised, up to 5 stars!!..
Wonderful wallpaper app. I use it for my home screen and for my lock screen image needs. Massive collection of beautiful images to choose from.
It is always very interesting viewing the images, but since they are up-dating the Hubble site and the alternative site is listed you can see the latest images. At the last video (Deep Space), gives you a look at how vast our universe is. It is 29 minutes long, but worth watching. It's very good.
