In general the app and humidifier function well. However, there are a few things that really need some attention. In baby mode, the humidifier doesn't turn off when the set humidity is met. This is a major concern as the humidity got out of control without our knowing. Second, when the water tank is empty it constantly send notifications - only one is required. Don't want to have to disable notifications entirely since it's quite useful but it seems to be the only way to stop it.
Horrible experience! Going to uninstall the app and find a way to use the humidifier alone. Flaws of the app: 1. Poor choice of error messages to let you know what you are doing wrong 2. Connecting the app to a device via WiFi should be fairly straightforward. My experience was anything but straightforward.
Horrible!! I got this for the Bluetooth connection. What a waste of money, it doesn't work. The humidifier will not connect to the app. I could habe gotten one for less money and not wasted time trying to figure out how it works. And forget asking the company for help, all they did was send me another copy of the user manual via email. NOT helpful.
Still complete garbage after using it for 18 months. Every time I try to do something simple lime switch the light on remotely there is a long delay saying loading. I set it to notify when thres sound and I get nothing for ages despite there being plenty of noise then I get lots of notifications at once. The developers need to just start from scratch. There is clearly little to no testing performed with this app before release.
the dream machine keeps disconnecting from the app so I have to go through the set up again. half the time it takes ages before I get it set up because when it find my device it takes ages to connect or doesn't at all! I've even tried connecting it next to my router and it doesn't make a difference!! worked so much better on ios
Defaults to listening mode. Defaults to a song I have literally never chosen. Cannot turn the device on and off. Only got it because you cannot get songs without getting the app, but the app really has no custom settings. Disappointed in this all around.
This is the worst of the worst, never works, only managed to get it to sync once, then never again, it also requested crazy amount of permission, why in the world would this app need access to my contacts? Worst app ever, the scale is always 5lb under the doc office scale but it works Update, developer did send an email, uninstall app, reinstall, take batteries out of scale etc. Start over, lose all data. One of these days if I have time I might try it. Will stick with 1 to zero stars. Don't buy
Goes offline all the time now and also makes a high pitched sound that gives me a migraine. Plus they have been telling me that they are going to be putting out replacement filters for over three years now and still have not. They just gave up on doing udate to improve it also. So disappointed! I used to love this unit when I first got it, but hate it now Reply: this is a humidifier not a camera. Thats why I made the comment on the fact that there is still no filters being made after 3 years.
Just took Dream Machine out of box. App setup is a nightmare. Taking an excessivly long time to connect to device, and when it does it says internet unavailable on this device. App is so basic and obviously buggy, extremely frustrating . Ready to return it. Way too annoying to set up for a first time parent!
I m sick of having trouble with the scheduler. When added a new entry it fails. There are irrelevant entries appear suddenly. Last 4 days, it kept working in the afternoon, but there are no any schedule entries set. It became visible just today, and when i wanted to delete, it fails. I cant stop it. Scheduler was the only reason i picked this device amongst a hundred alternatives, which are half price even less. If i ve known i would have to take care of this everyday, things would be different
Trash. Installed once, it paired to my humidifier fine, wouldn't connect to wifi. Started over wouldn't even connect to the humidifier this time. Uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, now I can't even log in. The more I troubleshoot the worse it gets. Unsurprising that Motorola fairs far worse than other electronics companies. Garbage. Taking the whole humidifier back.
I have tried everything to get the humidifier going and it will not connect to the app. What a waste of money for the humidifier, it's not even possible to run it manually. I recommend you return it, trash the app and buy something that actually works.
i have tried for 4 months to connect the DREAM MACHINE to my wifi : Impossible! Therefore I just cannot use it! App is so basic that there is just no explanation or proper way to understand how to connect the device to wifi. i have rebooted and re-installed everything and tried all router configs.. nothing changed! It only connects on 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz, and has zero network security. Binatone customer support mentionned on the warranty just tells me after 3 tickets that its not their license.!
The app was working when i first installed it last year. I had the thermometer connected and the humidifier. Then the humidifier wouldn't work anymore so i removed it and couldn't add it again to the app. I just tried to uninstall and reinstall the app. Now i forgot the username and password and it won't let me reset it through email and everytime I click on setup it kicks me out. So i uninstalled it again.
Motorola did a really bad job with this app. They clearly outsourced it. You can tell from the awful English throughout ("...will be get effected"). They didn't even bother getting that right! Everything is non-intuitive and an effort. Simply turning off the incessant notifications is a chore. It took forever to connect to the device, but it finally did after about 20 tries. That's the only reason I give this a "2"'.
