This app is terrible. I'm trying to use it on an Android system as part of my analysis for a Biomechanics unit at college. I can't export videos onto my laptop which means I won't be able to use them for my presentation. The version I have on my Samsung tablet doesn't open and the features are basic at best. This is a shame as the app itself has so much potential to be amazing but falls short in so many ways. Just seems that they put so much effort into the apple version and not this one. Pity.
Excellent core functionality let down a little by the difficulty of backup - e.g. for transferring to a new phone. - you can export the videos (individually only) but you can't export the breakdowns, presumably the only way is either to find the folder manually and hope that works, or import again manually each video in turn.
App works OK, only things that let it down are the fact that I cannot delete all the videos at once, I can take 100+ videos a day when busy and deleting them individually is very frustrating. Camera is a bit rubbish in lower light situations, on the tablet camera it's OK but through the app quite a bit of resolution is lost.
the app is great except it doesnt show as an available app on my phone. i can open it by going to playstore where the app shows as installed. Click it and it opens. Its nowhere on the phone, not recent apps, not new apps, cant be found with search. that makes it useless as its too hard to get too. An update - Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app. same problem. too bad, i otherwise like the app but when i need it, i need it now, not arter going through several convuluted steps to open it.
Have an option to un-download videos. I'll download my videos but then it takes up my space but i can't get my storage back without completely deleting the video. It would be a great option to have.
Doesn't seem to play videos on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The video sound is there and I can use the time slider to move through it manually, but it just won't play the video.
Loved this app when I had an iPhone. But with android, there is no option to trim video. And video won't play when I export to Camera gallery to share outside of Hudl.
Nice for reviewing, ability to zoom in is handy. Unfortunately, it only records to phone's internal memory. Moving to memory chip is a hassle
recently upgraded to S9.. app no longer plays more than 2 seconds. I've tried downsizing videos in case it's a buffering issue but no luck.
Poor paid app, it's like 10% done app as compared to IOS version... Importing video take donkey years and cant playback videos if its recorded from other devices
This app is useless for Android users. I can't share videos to other Hudl users. I can't tag any techniques. I see no point in having this app on my phone.
Excellent quality of playback and slow motion options.
Wont play videos, only able to scroll manually. Cant edit videos or trim
apps freezes the videos and im am unable to view them properly
It has low speed to import video when i saved from web or another ipad
Does not work offline - useless in the field
can't send video on android
Will not let me log in or use anymore. It's a shame, I used to use this in all my lessons
you can use for any sports it is good
Great for getting lifters to see their faults immediately
Very easy to use it
Does not play at all on android
Great coaching tool
Doesnt install like the instructions
Worked better before Hudl took it over.
No way to share videos outside of the Hudl community. Can't share with coaches or send via email to potential coaches or post on social media at all. Good for taking video which my phones native app does better. What a waste!!! Horrible, needs tons of improvements. You would think Hudl would want to allow sharing with a Hudl watermark for advertising but no they suck. Oh and last update deleted all of my videos, what a crappy app. Don't waste your time.
Compared to the iPhone app this app is horrendous. My phone captures 240 fps and this app can barely do 25fps. I literally have to restart the app every time I use it.
In comparison to the iOS app, it's pretty bare bones. Unacceptably so, in all honesty. No resolution or frame rate settings, and the default setting has a frame rate so low that it is not at all useful for looking at a golf swing. The jump from frame to frame is huge. I'll have to hope someone else has a useful Android alternative.
