Hue Thunder
Hue Thunder provides an unique thunder simulation in various settings. Every time you start one of the ambiances it will be different and unpredictable. Al light effects have been precisely created and synced with thunder sound to create and impressive simulation with your Philips Hue setup. It will impress everyone.
Hue thunder can also be used to train pets to get used to thunder sounds and light.
Choose from the following thunder presets and themes:
Thunder presets:
- Light drizzle.
- On a rainy day.
- Heavy rain pours down.
- Light thunder storm.
- Inside the thunder storm.
- Heavy thunder storm.
- Tornado Alley.
- Hurricane mayhem.
Thunder Ambient presets:
- A damp rain forest.
- At the beach after a warm day.
- Staring out the window in a busy city.
- A walk in the city under the umbrella.
- Bad weather camping at the lake.
The following elements can be altered during playback:
- Sky brightness.
- Thunder brightness.
- Thunder occurrence.
- Environment volume.
- Thunder volume.
Other features:
- Sleep timer to safely fall asleep with a stormy background.

works great, till app freezes up after approximately 15 minutes. happens over and over. i was hoping this app would be better than the hue Halloween app but they both refuse to play longer than 30 minutes tops. why this hasn't been addressed by the developer I have no idea. expected alot better performance. it's a shame. great idea but terrible execution
I bought the app after reading a developer comment on a review that said it was compatable with Chromecasting the audio but I can't seem to figure that part out. aside from the Chromecast audio issue I've enjoyed the concept and it works well with all of my 10 lights throughout my home.
I have been using many apps for Phillips hue and this is one the most quality apps generally and the best for thunder. Very user friendly, with easy but much customization. In previous versions sometimes a light could stay in full brightness between thunders but NOT anymore. Now it's perfect. Way better than the other thunder apps which have high ratings because this one is not boring.
works generally well, only complaint is allot of times after the lightning, 1 light will remain on full white. allot more effective when they flash with the lightning, then turn off until the next time ...
Okay... The app has stopped working. It says it's downloading additional files but it never does. And it never opens. Please update.
Great app, or at least it was. I have great internet, Pixel 4XL. No problems on my end. But the app stopped working completely. Really unfortunate because the app cost Money.... Please fix
Nice app, but it's should have chromecast on sounds built in. Then you got all sound over Google minis in the hole house. So 3 star, because it don't have chromecast built in.
It works with the lights but in cannot find a way to manipulate/route the audio on android device like I used to on my iphone. Using samsung galaxy note 10
Nice gimmick, but 200 MB is a lot of space for a small and simple gadget and no integration with Google Home or Alexa in a paid smart home app is embarrassing...
I can get philips hue lights to go with sound on phone tho can't get sonos speaker to play sound using samsung phone. It gives you this option on iphone through app
found the lights would stick on a very strange color (pink or green) for any of the options during playback
Yeah but locks up and won't stop I have to kill process and I already sent you a bug report from the Google Play store so yeah please fix it I paid for this
Sleep timer function is gone since the app revamped.
Best app imo with hue lights
Really great app. Love the effects and sound. Would be great to now add a timer. And to be able to cast audio to Google Home with one button in the app would be great. Other than that's. It's a really great app. Well worth the money. The UI interface looks great too, I won't get other apps, like the Halloween one because I dislike the UI. But yeah this app is perfect looking.
Great app, only critique I would give, to have the lights turn off after the sleep timer. Also the white light that stays on for longer than what a lightning flash would be. For added realism, make a delay for sound, as in lightning flash then thunder sound, like real life.
Great app but I would love if you can set the type of flash not a big fan of the flash that stays on for several seconds.
This is a great app for as long as I have used it. Enjoy using blue tooth speaker to help create a relaxing atmosphere.
This is a great app. A really useful feature (for all the apps in your suite honestly) is to set some lights to flash only, and some to do ambient only. It would also be REALLY cool to force synchronized flash with multiple bulbs
I like it but the white for the lighting sometimes stays at full brightness instead of flashing light lighting.
Adding Chromecast support would make this app perfect

Awesome at night sent through a sound bar
This is so close to being the perfect rain app for Hue with one flaw others have already noted. Periodically during a bright flash a light will get stuck and it really breaks the ambience, especially at night. Aside from that, I love the variety, use of color and that individual lights will flash rather than all as a group making it feel more realistic than other similar apps out there. If the app is ever updated to fix the sticking issue I wouldn't hesitate to change my review to five stars.
