How can I get rid of ads?
Ads may be removed through an in-app purchase which may be found from the cogwheel menu in the top right corner.
Why can't I add a certain SoundCloud song/playlist/artist to my playlist?
There is a number of possible reasons. Sometimes the content uploader may turn off streaming. Sometimes SoundCloud may have trouble sending the file data, etc...
My lights start to lag or get unresponsive. Sometimes they continue flashing even after I turn off the music. What's happening?
The Hue system has very real limitations as described here: https://developers.meethue.com/documentation/hue-system-performance#systemThroughput (requires a registered account to view)
The Hue bridge can only handle so many requests a second before it starts to queue any additional, incoming requests to be run at a later time. Try lowering the beat sensitivity if you notice this happening to you.
It is also recommended to not run several Hue applications at once as they may clog your system and cause performance degradation.
For best performance, it's recommended to use v2 of the Hue bridge.
Is Huegasm available on any other platforms?
Huegasm is also available as a iOS app and a Chrome browser extension.
The extension may listen for music straight from your browser tab, microphone or even your entire computer system.

When app is not on screen and the screen is on lights slow waayyy down. Put back up on screen and full speed... Make it run full speed lights in background.
Terrible app. Can't stream my music from anywhere else besides what you download or what's in the app already. Tried getting link from SoundCloud, doesn't work. Don't waste your money.
App no longer plays music from SoundCloud, you get error that url can't be resolved.. or no url when you try from the SoundCloud app.
This used to be the best app. Now it's suttering, making my speakers crackle and won't import from most URLs. What happened?
It was less of a huegasm using Android with the malformed UI and more of an edgeing.

Hue bulbs work well and accurately. Best app for syncing music to Hue bulbs. Unfortunately after last update lost 99% of the music playlists and songs added through Soundcloud however it kept a few. Otherwise absolutely love it. Awesome job developer. Is it possible to add export/import playlist to file?
Where is the Spotify Music choice if theres any?
Not enough customization for the music visualizer. The sensitivity slider just seems to change a preset interval in which it changes the lights, never matches the music. Wish it could use audio from sources other than soundcloud directly in the app.
If your web version is 'legacy', are you planning to support other browsers? -- Reply: Thanks for getting back to me. My reasoning is that you are excluding people that use other browsers. I appreciate that this isn't the normal way to make such comments.
Does its job, probably the best music sync app
Great app except for some limitations. Love it! Effect is on point and very engaging. Plus the options of how to visualize the beat are awesome. Well done guys.
The Chrome extension is amazing. My only wishlist item for this app is that it also incorporates Spotify (much like iLightShow).
App is not working on Samsung Note 8 for the first installation. Work properly after re-install

Giving it 3 stars only because it won't work with Google play music.
Makes the Hue lights flash -sort of- in rhythm to the music, but ONLY to local music on the phone or from THEIR cloud, BUT NOT from Pandora on the phone, Google Music, etc or other external music in the room using the phone's mic.
Works amazingly when it decides to work. But it doesn't work most of the time, sadly.
It stops music every 5 seconds and fails to play half the music
The light reactions to the audio aren't bad, but this app (and website through chrome) have real problems when connecting to a Google Home via Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth is connected before opening the app then the music doesn't play. If the Bluetooth is connected after opening the app then the music will play, but it will be choppy and skip a small but very noticeable amount while playing (kind of like interference, but it's definitely app related. I've tried many other apps with no issues at all)

I love the response and fluidity of the lights with this app. I paid for no ads to support. However, does it support songs from google play music?? I don't really use SoundCloud or Spotify.

I want to play music on my phone and have it sync to the hue light bulbs. If I try to play music on my S9+ it defaults to the calling voice setting, you know when someone calls you and they sound muffled and you can adjust caller volume? That's what I have for the music it sounds like waiting music for phone lines. So I went to use microphone setting and play music normally, But of course the sensitivity at 99% barely registers and sensitivity at 100% spasms like mad. So I can't win here unfortunately. I hope whatever it is, is fixed. Thanks.
