HueHello 2- Smart App For Philips Hue Smart Lights

A little slow/clumsy at times, but I don't mind. Would love an option to default lights selection to one room/group. I share the same bridge with other family members but would not like or need to have any control of their lights. It's a constant extra step for me as I only really have one light at the moment.

Unfortunate that the old version was taken down. The developers are super helpful with getting this going in the new app. Nice and convenient to have the widget on my home screen. Also great having the tasker app so that I can have more control over my lights than the simple automation in the Philips app.

Excellent feature set, great support from the developers. I was a pro user on the first iteration, and they granted me a "loyalty" license for the v2 app. The app has all sorts of neat tricks, and works great as a way to make automation of the Hue system easier.

Free version showed promise, so I bought the pro version. I regret it. When turning rooms or groups on or off, it sometimes misses one or more lights. Custom scene shows wrong colors if it is started from the smart notification. Unreliable.

This has been the best app to control my Phillips hue lights. You can set a scene or combination of colors light twilight for a romantic evening or set a party combination. The lights are grouped together for a room. It is time consuming to set up 50 lights but this application does the best job of organizing all of them . Thanks!!!

If you're looking for more control over your Hue lights this app is for you. Very easy to set up and has a lot of options for customization including animated lights. A couple of taps can get a disco going in no time.

Unable to install on my phone (Samsung J2), very strange behavior during install attempt. This app is clearly doing something during install that Android doesn't like. Android not behaving correctly after install failed. I'm a pro user of original app which is stellar, this new version is clearly not up to that standard yet. Never had an app so unstable and behave so oddly.

Update: Developer contacted me and made everything right. Haven't tried app yet, but based on devs help and response I know it will be great. Can't even install the app. Tried for two days in a row. Powered off phone to restart and cleared cache per the troubleshooting tips in play store. Please fix or advise and I will update. Other apps download fine.

Fantastic, but it's not fool proof. I think in several months this will be a mastered app and tool. Right now it's a little complex and takes solid effort to really use well and get the best out of. We all know that most of us just don't have the time and the patience much less the understanding with these things. I do, I'm prepared to spend hours figuring it out but most will not. I've tried about 6 apps to control my hue lights and I like this one the most. It's ready to do the basic things but also has functions that no other app has like animating through all of your scenes. It's been updated often too.

Keeps dimming! This would be my absolute favorite light app if it wasn't for the fact that I can't set my lights brightness. Every time I set a brightness it dims my lights significantly shortly after. It is VERY frustrating.

Great way to control hue lights. There is more variety and control options than with just using the Hue app alone. I have had this app for a long time and was upset when I could not install the updated version. Devs were helpful in helping me resolve my situation while maintaining my Pro status.

There's really no other Hue app that has Quick Access tiles that work this reliably and this well. I almost exclusively use Hue Hello to control my lights. The developers are really responsive as well.

Have been trying to download the app for a few days. Apparently problems with their site. No response from developers despite multiple emails. Downloaded Hue Dynamic instead, very happy with it.

Used to be more reliable. I get some funky rooms/groups (e.g.without proper name). Also,remote login does not work. I might return to stock since that's improved quite a bit... This app has been of more value for me in the past, no regrets.

This is a fabulous app for my Hue light set up of 12 lights it's easy to use simple to get started and the app is constantly being updated and improved Well worth the Pro User update cost Keep up the great work guys and thank you for bringing that little extra colour into our lives !!!!

I love the fact that it has the lights control on the notification bar. It has even a disco effect and automation routines.

This app gives you a nice widget and notification tile. Perfect for when you don't want to talk to Google home or have to open the Hue app. Just very convenient.

Do not give these guys any money. I was a lifetime paid PRO user. I was forced to update to the new version with the promise that if I emailed them they would authorize on the new version. There has been no response. They are a fraud and should be removed from the Google Play Store for this reason

I really like it but feels like there has not been much in regards to updates. Like hue button is not supported. Setting up dimmer switch seems to be a bit clunky as of late. Maybe hue updated something and HelloHue2 didn't. Is this still worked on?

Excellent. Do yourself (and the devs) a favour and get pro (one-off payment obviously; seriously, devs, what is with the subscriptions?) for the animation. Very simple to use yet spot-on functionality. Great stuff, thanks.

LOVE free app...but cannot download paid app? I don't mind having paid for the app since I use the free features so often every single day. Not really missing any special features from the paid one, so I gave it 4 stars. They deserve my monies

Easily my favorite Hue app. Lots of options, well organized and Pro is very affordable compared to comparable services on other apps.

Excellent Hue App! This is perhaps the best Hue App for quick access via the notification shade. It's simple, intuitive and works perfectly!

Never stays connected or connects automatically. We went with a new system better, more lights, way easier! I won't say the name of that app

I just received my phillips hue bulbs(3) today. Very simple to install the app, connect to my google mini and get up and running. I am looking forward to installing more bulbs throughout my home. This is fantastic.!!

Don't pay for the app. I'm a lifetime Pro user. Paid a bunch for it But they haven't updated this app for almost 2yrs now. Still lots of room for improvements, but apparently they just take ur money and quit the project.

Had to buy this twice, as I was not honored my Hue Pro1 purchase. But these abilities of the app are too good to pass up. I will bump to 5 stars if I ever recieve that return email from the team.

I was a pro user of the original Hue Hello app and loved it. I attempted to contact the developer to get the subscription transfered to this new app but I haven't received a reply.

I love this app. They have good service. Changing my apartment to a disco in few seconds. Also nice waking up in bright apartment with timed lights.
