Party mode doesn't sybc to music well at all and the strobing effect is annoying at best. Manic is definitely the right term for this app.

Every single time I have to connect to the Hue bridge. I connect once, then after a few days when I open the app, again it says 'Bridge not found'. Starting to hate this app cos of this!!! 🤬😡

The party lights feature of this app is great. It makes your Hue lights flash multi colored to music much like at a bar or club with loud music. It doesn't have to be loud tho and not bar/club music. They react to sounds as simple as a cough. I haven't explored a lot of the rest, but it seems to be a lot of light themes like the original Hue app. Some, maybe all, with audio enhancements.

I was hoping for a party lights option that's not dependent on audio, but couldn't get it to work without music playing. I went pro to try out the Halloween setting, which is closer to what I'm looking for, but the lights are off for really long stretches on this setting (like color flash flash fade flash dark.......). Also seems like there may be some colors left off of this setting, I haven't seen green included in the cycle at all.

Amazing colors and options! I love the variety of colors that the app has. My only gripe is that some of the blue/green colors are too low, and theres no way to turn up the brightness (this includes brightness all the way up in settings). Thats the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Almost everything except the actual Halloween routine is a part of PRO, which of course costs money. Not only that, even with this version you only get 20 minutes without paying. The initial setup is buggy as hell, couldn't even press back without the screen just instantly refreshing and doing the same thing over again. Quickly pressing back a few times got me one screen back for about 3 nanoseconds and then it was on to "select a bridge" again. Two stars for the wildcard light selection though.

Works great. The free version gives enough capabilities showcase the possibilities. Additional, after years of using it, it still works great. When I want to party hue maniac is there. I ❤️ it.

When leaving app to run in background and returning, the actual light animation stops. The app still reports it as running with the timer continuing, but the actual lights freeze and stop changing. (Latest bridge/bulb firmware to date).... otherwise it has the potential to be a good app for Android.

thank you for this app! It makes you want to convert to full purchase. got a hue system and put on some dirty bass beats. ive been chilling for the last hour re-experiencing all the good music thats on my phone. As that euphoric drop builds the lights react perfectly. I recommend turning off mic for more synchronicity. subwoofer is recommended as it helps bring out that true dance floor experience. This app is a must for any hue owner/future owner, and all those mind bending psychonauts.

Great app that works well. Would like an option longer than 20 mins and a few new themes would be good as it's been nearly a year since the last update. EDIT... New theme added as if by magic. Thanks. Edit - Found out longer duration is possibly by scrolling down. Perfect app now, but new themes always welcome. Thanks.

I mean this app has the potential to be really cool. The only issues I see with it are that while you have one of the scenes on, the lights aren't on the whole time. Like they go on and off and on and off and on and off. I don't like that. And especially the off part lasts wayyyy too long.

Mostly good, but disco lights only works when I play music on phone (unless I use mic option, not ideal) a direct link to spotify and other apps would be a win imo. Edit: also ability to turn on and off modes via alexa would be a major boost too :)

Love it. Just a few minuses. I have yet to figure out pairing music for the different settings not as easy.as I thought. It sometimes does not play well with my hue settings but the effects are awesome

Unfortunetly the app crashes every time I attempt to launch a scene. Pixel 2 XL android v.9 Edit: crashes stopped when enabling permissions for the microphone (even when not using the microphone mode) but would only sync with 1 of 4 connected lights.

Static settings only. No finesse in transitions or in color choices; no tweaking/adjustment/customization options available. Will check back after a few version releases for a hopefully more versatile app.

This app is absolutely superb. FANTASTIC. I think people who give it less than 5 stars do not know how to operate their lighting system. Please don't accuse the app for your own problems. I have one complaint though: The PRO version, which I am delighted to have, is too cheap. It is worth more than the developer is kindly asking for. Well the party feature seems pretty good. Mostly just flashing. What does the Pro get you. I want programmable features and I can't see what they are. Can you show me what I get with the pro version?

Unintuitive configuration. Trying to select the Hue bridge gets stuck in a loop. Select bridge, select desired lights then what??? Just an arrow that points to the left and "Change Bridge". No save or done. Trying the random arrow that points left goes back to select a bridge and Change Bridge guess back to select a bridge.

Worked great there is a slight delay but you have to use an external sound source. Will not work well when playing music through phone speaker.

App loses connection to Hub after 30 minutes, despite however long you've set the app to run. Mostly a pain if you got a groove going on. And yes, I have the latest firmware update.

Unreliable. Bought pro for endless party/color loop, but freezes after around 30mins and bulbs become unresponsive via hue app, only resolution was to power off lights, reboot hue bridge and power back on. After three freezes and having to try and get my lights responsive again during a child's party I gave up. Waste of money.

Okay app when it works. Only connects to the bridge about half the time, and no matter what settings I choose it affects every light I had.

I am handicapped so I really need my hue lights to help me. I installed and connected it all. Hue lights bulbs,, Alexa Hub, Echo dot, Hue Hub, even a wifi extender. Cannot get the many devices I purchased to work. Feeling I wasted a lot of money I don't have for nothing! Instructions really aren't well written. If I could give it a negative rating I would! I even called a.azon techs whose advise was pathetic.

I hear sweet things about this app. But I use smartlife like a lot of budget minded people. I guess its not possible to have the same synchronization between your "themes" (for lack of knowing what they actually are) and the various lights that can be connected to smart life? I just don't understand these things. Why good things can't just work for meeee

App works well. Not many options but they are effective. I turn the sound off and just let the lights go.
