Works well with my LIFX bulbs at the moment. Only issue I'm encountering is that after a period of time, the the music visualizer stops working unless I press pause and re-enable the microphone access. I've enabled lock screen access and disabled any power saving / battery restrictions for the app. Currently using a Pixel 3 Xl. Doesn't seem to matter if I have the app active or the screen off. Seems to be occurring randomly.
I myself ONLY own a Lifx A-19 Color bulb. I used the app for 2 months before review Pros: App size is smaller than factory Lifx app - Offers quite a few more features (Music sync, Shake on/off, sleep timer, alarm & NFC) - You may uninstall the factory Lifx app (after set up) Cons: The NFC tag feature will occasionally lose connection, requiring re-write - Changing color/temperature & brightness isn't designed very well -Issues with searching bulbs during set-up -widgets dont work (android10)
Used to work better... After the last update it now has trouble connecting to my LIFX bulbs. If it does connect, it will only stay that way until another app talks to them, then it breaks.
It works, but the premium features don't :/ Instead of animating, my lights appear to be flashing
Good LIFX And Philips App Good Thanks You Good Nite
Good Huerray LIFX And Philips Hue App Thanks You Good Nite
after paid, can't add my hue Light,
Mostly good app. Only big hindrance is that you can't copy/paste whole scenes between rooms. Really needs this. Also, for some reason, my latest gen bulbs (model LCT016) show the old first gen color palette in the app. I can't get it to show the correct color palette for these bulbs.
Can't even find bridge despite the fact that I'm in the room with it. Latest hue update broke it.
This app is fantastic, though the lack of Android Wear support for the past two years has me constantly switching to other apps. Bright for Philips Hue just came out and has a great Android Wear companion app for those looking.
It just does not work well. It is annoying as it has potential. I wish I could get a refund. Not worth anything. I'm using it with three Lifx bulbs.
I just purchased the pro version so I could use nfc and its seems to have a bug, the developer was helpful and said there will be a new release down the road to fix that... If you are picking this up for nfc like I was then pass for now, otherwise its a good app
This is a really good application, which just keeps getting better. It is obvious the author cares, judging by the comments in here. Thanks!
Pretty good app that offers a lot of functionality missing in the official Phillips app. But unfortunately, the widgets do not work and there is no integration with Alexa or IFTTT.
Needs an update, and ability to reconnect it bridge after fw update. Time to update it or delete it, sad to say I payed for it.
Didn't detect my only LIFX bulb. Other apps (Music Blitza, Light DJ, and the official LIFX app detect it without problems.
Was absolutely THE BEST app for Hue lights, unfortunately it's since been abandoned. I would gladly pay $10 or so if rereleased with same features
Animations that I create don't properly save the colors. Decent app otherwise.
Used to use this all the time. No longer works, can't find lights.
Best app for lifx bulbs. Do Wish there was more animations by default, making animations is time consuming.
Love the framework of this app. It does need further polishing, but I'm looking forward to future updates from the developer. I have both hue and LIFX in my home and so this is the perfect solution.
Tried installing and uninstalling it multiple times across two seperate Galaxy S7 Edge devices, same issue. Other apps can see and link the bridge fine.
Amazing! The scenes work beautifully and the animations are suberb! The music sync is much better than the one is the official Lifx app and the developer support is strong! Overall an amazingly well thought out app!
I'm sure Johannes is working on fixing the app, but currently it will not connect to any bridge that has been updated to Hue 2.0. EDIT: Clearing data allowed me to attempt to connect to the bridge. After pressing the button on the bridge to connect the app did not connect, waited 20 minutes to be sure. Don't know if it's my bridge, my LG V10, or the app that is making it fail.
Paid for it and now it doesn't do anything. Waste of time and money
Don't pay to upgrade for music features, it just crashes. Can't get a refund because you upgrade through app.
Let you do more with Hue than the Phillips app , and that is the free version.
This is nice, but my old bridge stopped working and there is no way to change bridge IP (that I know of). I tried reinstalling the app on Android and the data is the same! I tried checking all pages, yup. Stuck on said bad bridge. Is there any way you can add the bridge changing function please? It would be really useful if you could add that so I can use the app again. However, it is pretty cool otherwise!
